  10. SPICEY Going Strong Despite Late Draft Pick After watching himself fall to the 6th round in the VHLM, Spicey has done a good job of outplaying that pick marginally. Though he’s struggled for ice time on the #1 team in the league, the Oslo Storm, he has still managed to put up a serviceable 4 goals and 4 assists in 12 games played as the season gets underway. Though Spicey has said multiple times that he hopes to one day be leading the league across the board, a deep Storm team has held him back though he must still be happy with where he sits in the scoring race, especially with multiple VHL draft picks ahead of him. As the season really gets underway, Spicey might have to be content with a reduced role this year. He is putting in the practice and no doubt expects to be back again next season but that isn’t something that seems to be holding him back. He said ‘Just because I have to play second fiddle this year, doesn’t mean I’m still not looking to hoist the cup as a VHLM rookie’. With star-power up front and a low-draft pick incoming, the Storm are going to need a veteran presence next year if they want to be able to compete again. But that's next season, this season is what matters. This year, however, Spicey will have to be comfortable with second line time and showing up to chip in when he can. He can’t be too complacent, a Cup team needs every line to show up every day and, if you listen in to the Storm, that is where this team expects to be. Next season is all well and good but right here and right now is when the Storm are going to need some of Spicey’s best hockey of his life if they hope to maintain contenders. They have tons of superpower up front but it’ll be up to the young late round draft pick to lead the depth and chip in where he can. And so far, so good. This Season's Future for the Oslo Storm The season is still young and Spicey and the Storm have a long row ahead but a strong start of 9-2-1 has the league on watch. This is no longer just a hot start, this is a hot start that is slowly starting to bleed into legitimate championship aspirations. Though it is too early to declare the Storm regular season champions (and about a millennium too early to call them playoff champions) both milestones are well within their sites. And what’s a better way to start off a professional hockey career than winning the VHLM cup? Even as a depth player.
  11. I guess we had to be shutout sometime..
  12. Damn, we're too dominant this season. Ain't even fun sometimes Spicey is just maintaining. He needs to go on a run

  14. THIS WILL BE THE BEST DRAFT OF ALL TIME. PERIOD. The president has guaranteed it.
