  7. 31 Legion vs Vikings 32 Bears vs Reign 33 Americans vs Express 34 Titans vs Meute
  8. jet fuel cant melt steel beams.
  9. was gonna do the whole roster at first.... but I settled on 5 highest TPE. no harm intended lol
  10. I put together some quick numbers to determine the rank of the VHLM teams. The teams will be in order of total TPE of all their players, I also added a second stat of average TPE per player to see if quality over quantity has any effect. We'll see if it does at the end of the year! Team Total TPE Average TPE per player 1. Ottawa Lynx 1361 75.61 (18 players) 2. Las Vegas Aces 1048 61.65 (17 players) 3. Oslo Storm 968 69.14 (14 players) 4. Yukon Rush 965 64.33 (15 players) 5. Saskatoon Wild 898 56.13 (16 players) Ottawa seems to be the favorite right out of the gate, leading in highest total TPE, highest average TPE, and most roster players. Oslo, while having the fewest players, has the second highest average of TPE, which could make them a dark horse favorite. and coming in last is Saskatoon, who, despite having the 3rd most players, is dead last in total TPE and in team average TPE. Will any of this matter at all? We'll find out come seasons end! (get on those point tasks!)
  11. After a good draft from one of the deepest draft classes in VHLM history the Las Vegas Aces are looking to turn their fortunes around after a less the stellar season last year. We went player by player and broke down the Ace's roster looking ahead at S57. Shawn Broduer: Projected role - Starting G @TheLastOlympian07 It is said by many great men in this league that to build a winner, you build from the net out. The Las Vegas Aces have a strong foundation in Shawn Broduer. His quick glove, strong fundamentals, and great rebound control made him stand out as an obvious first round choice. Scouts report being nervous when ever he left the net and occasional shoot out losses as his only cons, but the rest of this goalies game more than makes up for any percieved faults. If the Ace's are going to win you can be sure to look at Broduer to find the reason why. Sergi Komarov: Projected role - 1st line C @Gooningitup Leading the way for the Aces is center Sergi Komarov. Sergi Komarov is the Russian Machine that never breaks. A hulking, offensive center ice man, he can use his high end speed and obvious strength to muscle his way to high percentage scoring areas and use his deadly shot to bury the puck. while his passing and puck handling may leave some to desire, you can expect Komarov to lead the Aces in goals, points, shots, and possibly hits come seasons end. Rask Rowe: Projected role - 2nd line C @Rowe89 Vegas boasts strength down the center of their line up thanks to the one-two punch of Komarov and Rask Rowe. A Cologne Express draft pick, if Rowe stays with the Aces you can expect him to be the star of the second line. Rowe brings a very well balanced game to the ice with a particular knack for tape to tape passes, and taking the body defensively. While he may not put up large goal numbers, Rowe's abilities make him a top line option and he is sure to produce where ever he is placed in the line up. Casey Jones: Projected role - Top paring D @der meister Jones will be carrying the offense from the Ace's back end this year. A 2nd round pick in this years VHLM draft, his defensive skills are often surpassed by an offensive game some forwards only dream of. Jones' speed helps his team make quick break outs and his shot from the point has been described by some as "snipes" and "holy crap!". Being the sole offensive threat on Las Vegas' defense, you can expect Jones to get big power play minutes and put up impressive numbers for a defense man. Mike Szatkowski III: Projected role - 1st line LW @Mike Picked 14th overall in the third round of this years VHLM draft, Mike Szatkowski III is speed and scoring incarnate. He comes from a long line of VHL stars, soon to be joining 2 relatives of his same name sake in their VHL dynasty. He can skate circles around defenders, and the puck has such a knack for finding the net from his stick you would swear he bent the puck like a bullet in Wanted. Scouts mentioned his passing and defensive game could use improvement, but his game will develop in time over what is sure to be a long VHL career. All in all the season looks to be very promising for a deep Las Vegas hockey team after a strong draft by GM @Tagger. Only time will tell how far they can go, will this be a Championship year in Vegas? The hotel industry certainly hopes so.
  12. Yea! America! Eat it Canada especially new foundland!
  13. Awww we lost.... Woo I scored a goal and had a great game! God damn it Dexter Lane
  14. One report recently caught up with the United States Junior hockey team outside their locker room after their most recent game, a 6-1 loss at the hands of team Europe. We asked to speak to team leaders and point scorers like Bo Boeser or upcoming VHL Draft first overall pick Gabriel McAllister. Instead, the team sent out to us bottom pairing defensemen Colton Rayne to discuss the teams recent play, and his future with regards to the upcoming VHLM Draft. Reporter: Great to meet you Colton, my condolences on the 6-1 smattering you guys just took. How did you think the team played despite the score? Rayne: Thanks. Yea, aside from the lopsided score I thought we played a decent game. Our shot totals were close, and we blocked shots well. But we ran into some penalty trouble which bogged down our offense a little, and theres nothing you can do when you run into a hot goalie, Perought came up big for them on a lot of shots tonight. Reporter: The seedings look to be about set and team USA will be playing team Europe again in the opening round of the medal rounds. Any hope coming from your locker room? Rayne: Without a doubt. We got a lesson today against team Europe, but we can put that knowledge to good use and I think we're gonna surprise people when the first game rolls around. We've got some real scoring threats in Bo, and Kane, and even being one of the leading scorers in his position the tournament, I don't think McAllister has really shown us everything he has yet. If we tighten our defensive game up there's no reason we can't win. Reporter: How do you think you've played personally? You don't have any points in the tournament yet, has that been weighing on you? Rayne: I've honestly played better than I expected to. Offense is not really my game, so the lack of points doesn't bother me much. I've had a few good hits, and got my toes wet in both the penalty kill and power play. Despite us getting a little blow out the last 2 games, I'm still only at a -2 which i think in the long run reflects well on me. The only game I wish I had back was one of the Canada games where i drop a -3. Other than that I think I've had a solid showing for a shut down defenseman heading into the draft. Reporter: Speaking of the draft, have you given any thought to which round your going to go? Any teams you particularly hope draft you? Rayne: I've been focused on the tournament the last couple days, but yea, I couldn't help but look at the draft order and see where I should fall. If it plays out normally I'll probably go in the late 4th or early 5th round. Off the record, I'd love to play for the Aces or for Ottawa but I don't really have a preference. I'll play hard for which ever team decided to take me. Report: Well good luck in tournament and in the upcoming draft Colton, and thanks for your time. Rayne: No problem, My pleasure. After what turned out to be a decent at best interview, we're excited to see what Team USA can bring to the table in the medal round, and What Colton Rayne can bring to the VHLM next year!
  15. agreed, lines need to be adjusted... Colton Rayne deserves more playing time
  16. woot woot, keep that pointless streak going! +1 in a loss... sure
