Answers 1. He's doing okay; especially for a Rookie jumping straight from the VHLM to the VHL without an overager season in the VHLM. I hope that he'll be able to stay in ROTY contention, but it's gunna be tough. 2. Ban discord (lol). I'm kidding, but I honestly don't know. I feel like the VHL has always thought that there could be "more activity", when in actuality its super tough to do that. 3. My favorite Wooden Duck from my collection. Questions 1. Who is your favorite now-inactive member in the VHL? 2. What would you consider a successful career as opposed to a failed career? 3. Would you like to see the VHL have enough members to have full, 20 man rosters, even if it came at the expense of ice-time?

Why are so many of the "rookies" on the individual scoring leaders page not actual rookies?

1. Yes, I think so. The game is evolving over time to value skill over anything else, and like other elements of the game from the past (the Rover position for example) it is something that will be left behind. 2. "Please". 3. I would like to reach the Hall of Fame as a player, it's something I've never done before with a VHL player and is certainly one of my ultimate goals in the VHL. Questions 1. Answers: 1. Hows the start to your season? Is it going any different then expected? I can't complain, I have only 1 point in 4 games but I'm sure the points will eventually start to pile in as I update my player to be more offensively-focused. 2. Do you watch NHL games/follow it closely? What are your thoughts on your favorite team so far? I follow my local team, the New York Islanders closely; the team is at an unfortunate point of their core being too old to really contend, and their younger players aren't good enough yet to make up the gap. They likely will need to retool very soon or risk being in a perennial 10th-13th place purgatory. 3. What build are you aiming for your player? Do you feel youve achieved that build so far? I am aiming for an offensive defenseman, who at the very least will be able to quarterback an adept powerplay with aplomb. Questions: 1. Which VHL franchise do you feel is the farthest away from a Continental Cup? 2. In regards to the question above, why do you feel this way? 3. What do you think said team would need to do in order to boost their chances of getting closer to a cup?

Link to Data Spreadsheet The chart above shows the amount of VHL General Managers per season that have since been inducted into the VHL Builder Hall of Fame; for the purposes of this VHL.com article, that is how I'll define the "Golden Era" of GMing (although I know this is not a perfect method of deducing that). I chose to represent the amount as a percentage of the total amount of GMs to better reflect the changing ever-changing amount of teams in the VHL at any given season during its history. Only for one season in VHL history has ever single GM been a HoF Builder (S54), with Austin Gow, Benjamin Zeptenbergs, Blake Campbell, Chris Miller, Conner Low, Frank Chadwick, Greg Harbinson, Mitch Higgins, Ryan Power, and Travis Boychuk representing the unique group. Given the league now has more teams than ever in its history, we will likely never see this feat occur ever again. Although to be fair to the current crop of GMs, most of the aforementioned managers were not in the HoF yet as of that season, only Miller, Higgins and Harbinson were. Just glancing at the chart, we can see a clear peak in the ten seasons between S53 and S64, as well as a smaller peak from S32 to S36.
