Same gripe? There are still a select amount of people out there who hate boasting when the person boasting has no effect haha. I think you saying "are perfect content.." just screams "poor us", and quite frankly that's not the case. Maybe you need to hang out in a different circle if thats what you hear. I never labelled you a bandwagoner for the record, I mentioned that bandwagoners are the reason I hate when people trash other teams when they just won. You won! Great, don't go boasting to people that actually respect you otherwise they'll lose it. Go boast to people who trashed your team. As far as I see it no one on this board trashes the Pens (except for Flyers/Eagles) and they do it in a pretty respectable manner. I'm a Devils fan, I could trash the Pens easily if I wanted but I choose not too.

@diamond_ace @ADwyer87 I think you guys need to put your reading glasses on. When was I saying anything about my myself bragging about the Caps or Pens? I mentioned that the Caps won't succeed if they think their entire offence can flow through one player (i.e. Ovechkin) because I figure Jason was talking about Ovechkin when he eluded to the "Russian Machine", then again he provided no context so if you want to get your panties in a notch, go see @diamond_ace. The reason I said I dislike the Pens fans after a comment you made was more because even after winning you trash another team. It goes back to the whole yzerman effect. Growing up watching him and Niedermayer when they won cups, they won them and shutup about it to others. It's called winning with grace haha. Love the whole "double standard" thing you claim though, boo hoo. It's not a double standard, it's the same gripe I had about Bruins fans, Hawks fans and any other bandwagoner that though "his" team was the greatest of all time. My thinking was about the teams mentality and structure, not the player. It's like if I said the Vikings go solely through Adrian Peterson they will never win, because you need a balance. Also it's easier for a 4th liner to be a champ because he can literally sign a contract every 2nd season and not be tied down like a franchise player.

I figured Ovechkin as well. I used to think Ovechkin won't win a cup because he isn't a team player, but now I realize that its because that team moves through him and thats not good.

Welcome back to another edition of the VHLSC Draft Rankings! When we last spoke, you saw a presentation regarding the locations and places where these players situate themselves on our planet. This week we bring you the players who lead their draft class in their respective positions. It's been quite the battle for some of these players and for others its been an easy race to the top of their positional rankings. Position can have a huge impact on draft position as later things get dicey with some teams needing certain positions over players higher in the rankings. Team needs won't be covered in this edition but we will give you the best of the best in each position. The past couple weeks have shown us who wants to be in the first round conversation and who doesn't. Plenty of players have made pushes and several have dropped off. Maksym Barnyashev has been flying up the boards. Elijah Dotran has made huge strides as well and both the above listed players are attempting to be first round draft picks. Without further adieu here are the top of each draft positions class!

Really? Walker dropped the ball on both iceland goals. Also Sterling was the only one who actually forced a play by Iceland and it turned into a PK. Now that isn't fantastic, but I'd point towards Kane, Vardy or anyone else who didn't do anything either.

Unless it's italy, than it is a boring 1-0 win.

Oh I agree we haven't been totally acceptable on the attack, but we haven't conceded a goal yet and that's pretty special.

How is Germany sucking ass? I mentioned Boateng because he has come up big on both ends of the pitch. Team that with an in form Mario Gomez, we don't really suck ass. Some guys are underperforming though (i.e. Muller)

Yeah thats the tough part. Messi has made many look like little boys, Boateng is a tall powerful CB and a small player like Messi took advantage of his weakness; lateral movement.

The more I think about yesterday the more i notice that Boating has been our best player through and through.

So let me guess, when you saw a thread title like this you thought it must have something to do with a career path for Tyson Kohler or some other irrelevant player. That's partly true, but not so much regarding the actual on ice play. Big news out of Cologne this week was that Phil Hamilton watched the movie "Crossroads" starring 1990's/2000's pop princess Britney Spears. Joel Jarvi came into the team lounge and saw that Hamilton had settled down with some popcorn and had his foot scrub nearby. The VHS player (Phil brought it from home) had a red button and the screen was already in the opening sequences where that black crow flies onto a branch or whatever the fuck it does. Phil was deep in thought (probably trying to relate to the movie a bit) when Jarvi caught him all cuddled up in his Hello Kitty quilt (also brought from home).

Well I was pissed cause even as an active team we couldn't win when I was there. The inactives might be a good omen.

Lottery would be sweet because you could see a blend of very active guys, semi actives and guys who retire their players 1-2 years into their career....not that we know anyone like that.

Also that 1 point doesn't automatically get awarded unless the team on defense downs in in the end zone or the kick goes through the back of the end zone. You can return a missed field goal and the kicking team won't get a point.
