Yup! That's the way I always thought it would've been done. So that if that GM is a total idiot like mentioned above, they get thrown over hot coals for their vote. Not only that if the blue team sees something funny they can ask for a justification for that vote.

I guess @Advantage and @Mr. Power now know what I was saying. Some gM's can't put past their childish issues or bias' when it comes to rewarding people who rightfully should win awards based on their efforts. I've been in the league 47 years and only a couple times I can think where this has happened. But then again it's not like the guy in question did his job as VHLM Commish correctly, didn't even send the ballot to some GM's.

Hey, I didn't sweep Labatte Trophy and I pretty much led every category in it. So there will always be someone with a childish hatred for people that comes before their integrity as a GM.

If you earned points before retiring then you have to add them to the player you are retiring. If you earned them after you recreated, then you have to add them to your current player. Where the 8/7% comes into effect is if a Commish has told you that you may retire early because of some event (WC or whatever). So technically you are considered in your 7th season still as pre-season hasn't started, but you may also keep your player for his 8th season (despite the rulebook) because the commish's are being nice.

While were on that topic I have to say that last years draft class was historical bad, but not as bad as VHLSC once projected. Many of the prospects got their shit together on the last day and logged some major practice hours. Of course that all will be forgotten when we rank the best of the best in the coming season!
