  1. It's been a goal of mine to earn a general manager role and for a long time I've been trying to prove that I can become a general manager in this league. I'm one of those people who doesn't like how cyclical the league is and I'm trying to take a different approach to being a general manager in this league. There are a good amount of general managers who tank for the future, but that's a bad look on the league for the newer members because aren't we trying to impress the new members? After all the minor league is their first impression, so I'd like for it to be a good one. I don't think that having a team with three players that barely have any points added to their players good, for one, that makes the locker room boring and two, there won't be any actives on a team like that. General managers purposely trade away players that they claimed off waivers for picks, so they can win in the future, which means that there are a lot of general managers in the league who value winning over training and developing their prospects. I'm not like that, I think that the wins come when you've helped build great prospects where you'll be rewarded with success. If you can build from the ground up and keep doing that for more than a season or two then you're doing it right, which Fong has done. I'd like to win a championship without tanking and who's a better general manager to teach me that than Mr. Fong who did that with Brampton when all others doubted him. It'd be a great opportunity to learn from a manager like him, so that when the time's right I can control the team and continue the style of play that he's created.
  2. Manhattan, NY – Times had been tough for the Americans defender, Golden Jedtsson. He’s found himself in a cold streak over the past few weeks. He wasn’t scoring, he couldn't put up any points, and to make his situation worse the team was losing. For quite some time he was on a pointless streak, but Jedtsson still finds himself with two goals and 19 points, which puts ranks him eighth in rookies scoring. Jedtsson hasn’t adjusted to the number one defenseman role for the Americans as much as the fans or organization would have liked, but he’s only a rookie and having so much pressure on him could be stressful. Also, the team’s not that strong as they’re currently nine points out of a playoffs spot with 26 games left on the season. Some fans have already started counting the team out, but there’s always time for a late turnaround. If the team can start finding their game and get on some winning streaks then they could find themselves in the post-season.
  3. Manhattan, NY -- Golden Jedtsson’s scored his first VHL goal in the 24th game of his young career. He scored the goal in the third period, which put his team, the Americans up by two against the opponents, Riga Reign. Riga would add another goal later on in the game, but the Americans would hold on and finish the game with a 3-2 win. Despite that being his first goal the defender has played a role in the Americans’ offensive push as he’s registered 14 assists on the season. Jedtsson tells the media that he wants to continue to work on his scoring and can hopefully use his advantage on the point to generate more chances for his team. Jedtsson’s become the hardest working defenseman from his class as he has 328 practice hours and he’s looking to add onto that. He’s making a lot of general managers regret passing up on him allowing him to fall to the second round. Golden Jedtsson continues to train and develop. He currently has the bar set at becoming one of the league’s most elite defender.

  5. That's not why you were flamed.
  6. Manhattan, NY -- Golden Jedtsson's become a hot commodity around Manhattan as the fans are talking about the Swedish player that could possibly the next elite defenseman of the league. He's the one that's anchoring the blue line right now alongside Benjamin Dupont. Jedtsson's enjoying the atmosphere that the Americans' fans bring to the Madison Square Garden calling them their backbone on the ice. "Without those guys then there isn't home ice advantage and they really make sure that the other team doesn't get on the ice expecting an easy game. The fans sometimes take shots at the referees if a bad call is made against their team and being so passionate sometimes they'll let us hear it if we're play bad then we know it's time to step it up. They're our energy booster. It's amazing." It's quite evident that Jedtsson respects the fans as much as the fans respect his play so far on the ice and they're expecting him to continue playing the way he is as he contends for the Stolzschweiger Trophy.
  7. Manhattan, NY -- The fans around the league are excited as the 44th season has begun and there are a few familiar faces doing well, but there's one of many new teams who are trying to for an early hot start one of them being the New York Americans. The team hasn't had a start that many would expect a top team to have, but it's a start that lands them at the third seed in the North American conference, which was the same seed that won the Continental Cup last season. The team's still young and there shouldn't be many who are surprised if the team doesn't compete that well against the top teams of the league as experience may show. However, there are a few prospects who have answered the call for the team. There are four rookies on the team who combine for three goals and six points through three games those numbers come against some top teams such as Stockholm and Toronto. The fans are awaiting for the team's young players to reach their potential, which shouldn't be a long wait.
  8. I do agree that lines should have been submitted earlier and it's their jobs as a general manager to find a way to put those lines in on time. So, there aren't any arguments from me about that.
  9. Advantage has been without internet for a while and couldn't complete lines on his phone and I'm sure jaladolar has a fair reason behind not having his lines in, so let's no jump to conclusions.
  10. One to Smarch and the other to Frank.
  11. Thanks to those who voted for me.
