  1. Hey, @Peace Saskatoon can offer you 4th line minutes with the potential to move up if your active! Just quote me and say 'accepted!' if you're interested. Peace General Manager Saskatoon Wild
  2. If I had been on five hours before you would have received an offer to be on Saskatoon, too.
  3. SASKATOON, SASKATCHEWAN -- The Saskatoon Wild have been a juggernaut for the majority of the season, but a few members of the Saskatoon Wild have noticed that the Minnesota Storm have been matching up remarkably well against their current lines after Saskatoon's blowout 7-2 victory over the Storm in game 215. Recently, the Storm managed to keep the Saskatoon offense at bay after climbing to a five - two lead in game 241 against the Storm, a game where the Storm stormed back to nearly tie the game in the third - it ended 5-4 for the Wild, but a scare for the top team in the league none-the-less. Since then, in over four periods of play against the Storm, Saskatoon has been held to just two goals. While the Wild won their next match against the Storm, it was done so in a shootout, and it certainly has the players feeling some anxiety. GM Peace, however, is confident in his team and remains steadfast in their goal to tie Calgary's season one record of 69 wins. It would be poetic, really, getting sixty nine wins in season sixty nine. "We might adjust the lines a little next time we face Minnesota, but there's no need to dismantle something that is working at the moment. It's unlikely we'll go the rest of the season without a defeat, it's highly unlikely - inevitable, even, but if the team we do finally lose to is Minnesota then I think we owe them an applaud. The team that stopped the Modern Warfare 3 kill streak!" Peace said.
  4. Old habits die hard. Someone move this to the right area, thanks!
  5. In light of Saskatoon's historic season... decided to do my... third? artwork on the website. Didn't turn out the way I wanted, but I can't figure out how to increase the resolution and apply the filters I like without making it appear a little blurry. Still satisfied with it, and I've been working on it since I recreated. haha
  6. May I ask why? Out of curiosity, of course. I did announce it in a thread, and I believe we spoke about it briefly on Discord. But yeah, I didn't feel like fighting depreciation anymore and didn't have the funds to do it anyway. haha
  7. Erik Killinger LW | 6'5, 208 LBs | 27 Years Old Erik Killinger's path to the VHLM is perhaps a unique, but arguably interesting story for the few who are interested in reading it. Although it is true the middle aged man has been skating since he was six years old, the truth behind his declaration to play in the VHLM stems from the moderate turbulence he's been experiencing after a life of structure and determination. Erik Killinger never played organized ice hockey in any of Canada's competitive under eighteen leagues - he did, however, play floor hockey with his troops in Afghanistan while serving in the Canadian Armed Forces as a commissioned officer in the Canadian Military's Princess Patrica's Canadian Light Infantry, 3rd Battalion (3PPCLI). To say he was a fan of hockey would be misleading. The Calgary Flames 'C of Red' is imprinted on his DNA. Killinger was medically dismissed from his duties at the tail end of his initial contractual agreement with the Canadian Government, and as a result had a difficult time adjusting to the life of an unemployed civilian with a university degree (which was key to him becoming an officer in the first place). Getting out of the military and adapting to life as a civilian was one thing, but there was a chunk of his soul simply missing from his being. There was no drive, no passion for anything, and Killinger was quickly slipping into a depression some don't recover from. Then things started turning around for the then twenty five year old, he found something he was passionate about, and he shared his story as he began looking for a player agency that would help him achieve his goals: VHL Hall of Fame. All the VHLM required was you to be an eligible free agent, and he knew he had the talents to at least make a VHLM team. Rylan Peace, and the Peace Player Agency, found his story inspiring and decided to pick the individual up to replace Rylan Peace upon retiring from the league. Killinger has been training his mind, his body and his soul ever since. Despite never playing organised hockey, the Peace Player Agency has released the results of their internal 'shinny' games they use for scouting nearly every off season. It wasn't known at the time, as Erik Killinger was simply written as 'John Doe' to conceal his identity until Peace retired, but Killinger placed fourth - sometimes third - in the agencies shinny games while looking for a suitable candidate as their next player. He may not have been the most talented, but he had the biggest heart and showed the most determination. Now that Rylan Peace has announced his retirement, the agency can switch their focus on developing Killinger into a successful successor to Rylan Peace. There is a fiery determination to be among the best names in the league, a concrete resolution cemented in an absolute desire to play in the VHL and earn himself a trip to the Victory Hockey League's hall of fame. Erik Killinger has arrived.

  9. I've had it with Beaviss' constant 'Wanna play games' and never playing games. Tags me at endless hours of the day when normal people are sleeping, but his drink and/or high ass is wired at 1:00 in the morning. I get a 'Wanna play ArmA 3/Botes (Can't even spell it properly)/[enter game]' and he disappears like Motza's team did from the second spot in the standings this season. Unreal. Impeach him! ... nah but really he's doing fine.
  10. When I opened up that game link I was surprised that it went to a SO. Very good effort by the Hounds team!
  11. All according to plan. We need to give teams hope that they might be able to beat us.
  12. I know you want to be on the team that's 38-1-0, but you play for the Mexico City Kings.
  13. I should have known based on the on ice product of Mexico. ?
  14. Peace

    Unreal!

Right, that one. Who was he again? Disappeared in the finals.
  15. Peace

    Unreal!

    Shut up, number three.
  16. Peace

So I've got to take my younger brother skating in about ten minutes, so I'm writing a quick VHL.com article about the insane start Saskatoon has had for this season. Clearly I'm very pleased about the way this season is going, why wouldn't I be? Saskatoon is 35-1-0, and we're currently on an inane thirty three game winning streak. That's three times our last ten have been 10-0-0, that's three times we've reached what would typically be considered a great milestone. I may have overdone it. The cries demanding Saskatoon be nerfed have been heard, and tomorrow Mexico has a shot at ending the remarkable streak... except they won't, because despite Mexico claiming they'll get better as the season goes along, they forget that Saskatoon's depth is also improving alongside their top players. And when Saskatoon's depth players are Mexico's top players, things tend to look bright for the Wild personnel. Playoffs are a different story, just remember the S63 Ottawa Lynx who were victorious over the far more dominant Las Vegas Aces. Although that serieswent to seven games, Saskatoon smacked the Lynx in the finals with brooms enchanted from the tears of the Aces' roster. Each team measures up against another team differently, but when Saskatoon has more goal differential than the next leading team has goals it's hard not to be confident in the Wild.
