  1. Claiming for week ending July 28 2019
  2. I second this notion
  3. It took just five playoff games for the Helsinki Titans to advance to the VHL finals. The Titans high powered offense through their five contests did not disappoint. The club scored 18 goals; an average of 3.6 per game against Finn Davison and a mediocre defensive core. Their quest to add the Continental Cup along side their Victory Cup is just four wins away. The opponent who stands between them and this goal will either be the Vancouver Wolves or Calgary Wranglers. Calgary currently leads the series three games to two. The VHL deserves a finals matchup between goaltenders Alexander Pepper and Brick Wahl; two of the hardest working goalies of the current generation. From a pure analytics point of view, the Wolves would hold a slightly stronger fight defensively and offensively but have been on the wrong side of the score sheet after they took an early 2-1 lead in the series. Helsinki remain the favourites but the playoffs are almost always unpredictable. Stay tuned for an exciting finish to season 66.
  4. Exciting series Sask. Lets get it done guys!
  5. Three seasons in a row! Great job fellow Titans.
  6. The Vancouver Wolves were originally the Quebec Wolves. Just a naming convention that hasnt been set through the sim.
  7. Helsinki picking up where they left off
  8. Seeing over 50% of the votes for Borwinn is really overwhelming. Thanks everyone for recognizing the strong season Borwinn had Huge thanks to my Helsinki teammates as well, this does not happen without such a talented supporting cast.

  13. Dude seriously this is the stuff that makes it all worth it. Thanks for a fun read. It’s an honour to have made a strong enough impact to be featured in another members article. The Borwinn Effect; has a good ring to it. Thanks!
  14. Welcome to VHL forum! Here is an excellent Resource to help you get started.
  15. Tough start for Riga
  16. 7. How do you deal with the excitement of playoff hockey? Keep to routine m and remain in gameday form. 8. Blade is buying treats for the team, what should she bring you ? Cheesecake, cheesecake infused brownies, cheesecake bites, cheesequake DQ blizzard... I like cheesecake 9. Comments on how the team is gelling after all the moves? Better than at any point this season, especially depth wise. 10. What’s a holiday that doesn’t exist that you’d like to create? Reapers inception into the VHLM. A great franchise deserved a dedicated day don’t you think? 11. If you suddenly found out that your internal monologue for the last week was actually audible, how screwed would you be? Blademaiden may have some questions for me. We went for an AGM/GM dinner late in the week to discuss the playoffs, and well, I’m a dude and she’s a lady. The meet was all professional and ended with some apple crumble with vanilla bean icecream. 12.What would you choose as your animal sidekick if you were in a movie? We all know Rocket Raccoon, so how about Torpedo the Land Shark ? ?
  17. No it was not

  21. Quite the surge from Hali to pass Ottawa
  22. What makes an athlete feel content with their season is to each their own. Season 66 for Julian Borwinn exceeded all expectation. After three consistent seasons he was destined to have a career year after Helsinki added depth players to their roster and all-star forward Matt Thompson. For the second half of the season Borwinn battled Jake Davis @Josh. for first overall among forwards and climbed the leaderboard for most goals. When it was all said and done; Borwinn took home the scoring title by 10 points with 114 points (51 goals, 63 assists). He also tied teammate Thompson at 51 goals. To top it all off, Helsinki ended the season as the clear heavyweight with 55 wins and 113 points; 22 points clear of the second place Riga Reign. Julian Borwinn and His Titans squad look to continue their success into the post season. The playoffs are set to start early this week.
  23. Sad to see an end to this dream regular season. But that being said lets go tear it up in the post-season!
