  2. No issues with Vegas. Thanks.
  3. You may be in competition for that tank as long as Calgary refuses to send in their lines
  4. @Sonnet Congrats.
  5. The Helsinki Titans continued their roster revamp by naming all new team and alternate captains. The decisions were finalized mid week within the organization and made public on Thursday. Newly acquired veteran dman Mats Johnson will captain the Titans in season 64. The all-star defender was an obvious choice for the role and will represent Helsinki in the highest regard. Johnson brings a dynamic skillset and is a big piece of the Titans expedited rebuild. Helsinki named three assistant captains, Alexander Pepper, Keaton Louth and Julian Borwinn. While unorthodox to have three alternate captains; the decision makes complete sense as Helsinki management look to establish future leadership by the way of its newer members. Keaton Louth again was an easy choice to lead the Titans youth. Alexander Pepper and Julian Borwinn; draftees of season 63, displayed a skillet worthy of the shared leadership roles. We had a chance to speak with Borwinn regarding this honor; "We fought hard last season. We knew it was going to be a tough season but we hung in there and turned some heads. This year the puzzle pieces start to fall into place and it is a privilege to wear the A on my jersey. This decision shows the commitment our management has to its youth and quick development of building a championship roster". Season 64 brings a Helsinki roster rich in depth complemented well with seasoned veterans with a proven track record.
  6. Very nice write-ups on the answers.
  7. Helsinki Seattle New York Quebec

  9. I guess we didn't get to that point with USA doing so well in the world juniors. Oh well.
  10. You two are cute together.
  11. This wasn't my article. Also new members would not know the history behind the names.
  12. I will communicate with new members how I choose to. Vegas was the most active in waivers last season and retained many new members from a fairly dead list of people who had gone inactive due to site confusion, etc. Countless times I have contacted users and gave them a hand getting started. No regrets. @DilIsPickle can attest to that. His memes may be awful but he is a highly active member now. He was on page 3 of the available waivers list when I reached out to him.
  13. If we were all in a sandbox and were making sandcastles, I bet his would be the best. But it depends on how many grains of sand were used and how many times you were inducted into the hall of fame in a fictional hockey league.
  14. Thanks for this quote. Not once did I mention Ottawa in that thread, yet I lied about them. Neat. Opinions are just too hard to swallow sometimes I suppose. Sorry my list of favorites in a 6 team league was not 3 or 4 teams long... Is the pedestal you sit upon comfortable? Maybe I can prop you up with a pillow. How dare I question you oh worthy one.
  15. Some people take criticism and use it as motivation...some take out the whine glass. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  16. So easily triggered. Calm down a bit buddy...our main focus is to welcome new members and retain them. There are 3 strong teams, objectively you can make arguments for either team. Lets put away the measuring tapes.
  17. Las Vegas extends and offer to join us this season as we hunt down the Founders Cup.
  18. @Anthony Matthews
  19. Welcome! VHL minor league teams will comment below with offers. I am the GM of Vegas and extends an offer your way. It would be a 3rd or 4th pairing role to start with opportunity to move up. All minor league deals are $1.5million.
  20. Vegas would be extatic to add you to our roster for the season. Top 4 spot right out of the gate is yours should you accept.
  21. Welcome to VHL forum. Head on over to this link https://vhlforum.com/topic/56353-vhlm-newsletter-17th-edition/ Pretty much everything is covered there to get you started and caught up on league happenings. I am the GM of the Las Vegas aces and would love to have you play for us this season. You may receive other offers so when your decision is made let us know where you’d like to play. All minor league contracts are $1.5million.
  22. With Christmas finally over, it's time to look ahead to the new season, at last. Is there a team you are most excited to play against this season? Why or why not? Calgary Wranglers. Can't wait to have my chance to put a puck past The Great Wahl of Canada. Additionally Davos because we are bound to light them up and pad our stats handsomely. The World Junior Hockey Championships are currently taking place, in Vancouver. Which non-Canada team do you think has the best shot at winning Gold this year? Despite losing to Sweden last night I think Finland. Do you ever make friendly bets on international tournaments? If so, what's the strangest bet you've made? Can't say I have. Do you have any opening night superstitions? Apply some fresh tape on the stick. Nothing out of the ordinary. This season, there will be the same number of rookies on opening night, 4, as last season, though they make up a much smaller portion of the roster this time around. Are there going to be any rookie initiation hi-jinks? Joey Boucher's contract was written up without any capital letters throughout the entirety of the document. With expansion becoming a more realistic proposition for the league, what city would you like to see added to the VHL's ranks? 3 Canadian teams to 2 USA teams. I could get behind a Minnesota franchise being added. It is after-all the most hockey crazed state in the USA.
