On the weekend the Helsinki Titans made a deal with the Vancouver Wolves. In time we will see how much of an upgrade the trade was for Helsinki and for right now we believe it was a strong move. Emi is a young talent that has a lot of promise and has a winning pedigree. Gabriel Akerstrom was a first round pick by the Titans in the leagues 74th season and had gotten off to a slow start for them. There was a bit of controversy in Vancouver, although I dont know exactly the reason but Rune had requested to be moved from the defending cup winning Wolves. Emi Rune was moved to Helsinki when it was all said and done. Vancouver got Akerstrom and Helsinki's 2nd round pick in season 77 in return. This is the second deal made by the Titans during the season. They had earlier sent young goalie Calvin Harvey to Riga. Harvey has enjoyed a starting role there and is climbing the ranks among goalies in the league. I am happy to see him thriving.

1- i wished him all the best. Every Titan is remembered forever as a Titan. 2- Emi is a big pickup for this team. Young talent and already a cup winner. She is already off to a fast start and we cant be happier for this. 3- the grittiest titan has to be our viking Vikingstad. I would take him as my tag team partner. 4- not surprised. We are where we should be and will push for the league tital again. 5- i play call of duty and am looking to get cyberpunk soon 6- i chose goalie as I want to be as important a player as I can for my team. Playing 60 minutes allows me to do this.

In Helsinki the winning spirit is evident. We have only lost 8 games in regulation time at the halfway mark of the season. We have played the least amount of games in the conference and have a three point cushion over the surging Moscow Menace. London who started the season off hot, have been cooling off and are in a tight bunch as only 2 points are separating 3rd and 6th in the conference. The seeding in the conference changes with every sim. HC Davos Dynamo and Riga Reign are sitting out of reach at the current time but there are many many games to play. Helsinki has a 21 goal differential which is high considering they only have 1 shutout on the season from Zamboni Driver. The Titans leading scorer is Ola Vikingstad who has scored 22 goals and has 26 assists. He is followed by Valtteri Vaakanainen who has 21 goals and 23 assists. Zamboni Driver has a record of 15-8-6. Their new backup goalie John Poremba has been perfect winning all 4 starts.

1.) Finish the sentence: When the going gets tough, I get _____ Answer: amped to turn the situation around and learn from the experience 2.) What was your funniest drunken adventure? How did you manage to return home? Answer: I was at a party once and then I woke up at home. The in-between is fuzzy. 3.) What was your funniest drunken (or high) adventure? How did you manage to return home? Answer: I dont do any drugs or legal ones. 4.) Did you know that Ancient Greek philosophers invented working out? How big of a biceps do you think Plato had and do you think your's are bigger? Answer: I did not know this. If they invented it then they must have all been ripped. 5.) What was the worst hockey based situation you ever laughed in (or at)? Answer: I get enjoyment out of a good sweep in the playoffs 6.) What’s the best pun you know? (try to keep it hockey or Titan or Helsinki based but if you can only think of a random one that is ok too) Answer: I sat here and tried to come up with one but have failed. If I think of one I will come back and type it here.

Erik Draven/ new graphic/ doubles
Tape-to-Tape replied to Jbeezy76's topic in Archived Graphics/Videos
Review I like the text and lens flare you added here. Color instead of black and white would have been cool too but I see what you were going for in the contrast. I miss Draven. 8/10. -
Review This is a good jersey rendering. I always like to see Helsinki graphic work as they are my favourite team and the team I play for. The colors you chose match the logo. The lines flow well and add a nice look. I would proudly wear this. 10/10.

Driver being labelled as a veteran in the league is wild to me. Having played in 92 games now I can say that Zamboni Driver has been a lot of what I was hoping to be as a goalie in the VHL. 686 TPE so far means I am close to 700 where goalies seem to be seen as stronger and more reliable. It is just a number of course and you can find many goalies lower with strong stats and many goalies higher with mediocre stats. The goalie position offers no promise of greatness but I can say that Driver has been a success so far in my books. 48 wins 32 losses and 9 overtime losses puts Driver 12th all time for goalies to wear a Helsinki uniform. His 0.908 save percent and 2.94 goals against average are nothing spectacular but I really think the best is yet to come for the season 72 2nd round pick. As a veteran now on Helsinki it looks like I am hitting my prime at the perfect time as we have been to two straight finals and are looking again to make another run. Its a special thing to be thought of as someone the team relies on and has seen success with so I take the veteran label proudly and play each game to the best of my ability. The Titans currently have other successful season 72 players. Those players are Valtteri Vaakanainen, Spencer Elsby and our new backup goalie John Poremba. I am glad to be surrounded by players of the same draft year and those from other draft years that help to create the strong roster that Helsinki seems to always pump out every season. For the rest of the season I want to see more wins consistently and more shutouts. Only having one shutout so far in my career is less than I would hope for but the team has been great scoring goals and shutouts haven't been a necessity to get the win in many games. There are a lot of years to go for Driver and he does not look to be slowed down at all so I think Helsinki can be certain of their goalie position for a long time yet. I want to thanks all my Titans team mates and also those on other teams that wish well for everyone's success in the VHL. Go Titans Go!

The Helsinki Titans were lucky to have two starter worthy goalies up until this week when Calvin Harvey @Mrpenguin30 was traded away to the Riga Reign. Titans GM Jubo had tried to trade Harvey but the reports are that the trade market was not there for one to happen. Riga was able to get them selves a big upgrade in goal for a more than reasonable trade. Riga moved their 2nd round pick in season 77 for Harvey and Helsinki's 3rd round pick in season 77. It was a noble trade by Helsinki to give Harvey the chance to be a starter and get less than his value back. I want to wish Calvin Harvey the best of luck in Riga. I enjoyed having him on Helsinki as a reliable number two but more than understand why the trade was a must make for the sake of giving a great goalie a chance to reach their potential.

another good late pick from the Titans @Edgy Mcedgelord I hope we see you on the Titans in a season or 2.

1- The draft was excited and we did well to get great talent added to our prospects 2- i think it was quick for being extra rounds 3- akerstrom will fit well on the blue line. We worked him hard in practice for initiation 4- lots of practice and time in the gym working out to stay in shape 5- I want to get more shutouts and steal more games. Team Nordic was big for my confidence. 6- helsinki will see a third finals appearance. You can count on it.
