Hello! New week, new me. This week we're going to try and get a majority of all my league things done early so that I don't have to struggle to power through them at the very end. I have a weird feeling I'm going to do some form of yard work this week - just not sure what. Days off start Thursday - Wednesday being my last day (and #10 in a row) of work! I also think I'm gonna get out, head to the mountain area of beautiful Sundre, AB and cast a line into the water! Excited for days off in a way. Work has been a nice and needed distraction though! Anyway, let's blab for the 42nd time. @Beaviss and myself had a discussion today about his future. It wasn't a long one, but a good enough talk. He's stepping down from the Seattle Bears AGM position to focus his attention on other passions and hobbies in life. It was an enjoyable time of my tenure to work with Beaviss. I'll be the first to say I'm not the best with coordinating or splitting the duties as Seattle always has been mine up until this and always will be! But I did try and we had a lot of good discussions and he helped me a lot more than people probably will guess. A lot of good trade talks and he always hopped in to help. It was a unique and period I'm grateful for as some prior may of guessed we were "against one another" from our time as managers. Far from it! Seattle has a goal differential of 17. #NewMeta #GotJokes Elon Musk just bought Twitter I guess. I heard a rumor his next purchase is going to be the VHL. STAY TUNED!

Hello, hello. I hope everyone is doing well. I find myself going through an interesting time with the VHL but I can't say it's really anything new. Don't worry - it has zero to do with my Bears tenure. I am very much alive and well with Seattle and it's daily activities. I spend a lot of time in the nice, cozy walls of the Seattle Bears locker room. I rarely pop into general now and it's nice. I just find myself going through an "interesting" and challenging time in life a tiny bit. Work has been incredibly busy and I am currently 6 days into my 10 day shift. We are busy 365 days of the year but obviously with the weather warming, precipitation happening and ground thawing, it always makes Spring time a little bit more active. Summer and Fall are about the same. Obviously each season comes with it's own obstacles. Outside of work, I am also going through some things that are "new" to me and they're obviously, at least at this moment, not the most positive. It's okay though because every day I wake up with purpose and tell myself "be happy no matter what". The fact that work is incredibly busy is nice as I'm always very focused on doing extremely well. This helps at the moment but I guess let's wait and see what's in store in the future. With all this being said, let's do some blabbing, hey? Seattle has started the season 7-2-0. I expected us to be good, especially in the NA conference. It's awesome to always see us as a decent team. We've missed the playoffs once since S67/S68. The one season we took off was very strange. Good to be back to our normal. @dasboot our captain Vinny Detroit has continued his amazing development. He's been an underrated member to the league and to Seattle during his team here with his player. Always a fun, engaging member in the locker room. Seattle is truly lucky to have a strong leader like them around. @Jubis can have a lot of good things said about them. At the time they were one of my favourite GM's to talk to. It's still the same way. I'm very blessed to have gotten the chance to have them on my team. Their swap from D to F is a prime example the kind of person they are and look at the results it's helped Seattle achieve! I could talk for days and days about the group of people we have right now and what's happening in Seattle. I guess I'll struggle my way through a media spot next week!

Hello everyone. I hope you're doing better than me Unfortunately I waited until Sunday to get everything done and of course I have zero motivation or energy to do anything but here I am finding away to power through it. Being a GM, I don't normally do these kinds of articles as I don't want to cause controversy or come off as cocky or anything like that. However, I also don't want to do an around the league with Bana article this week so I've chosen to take the tougher path and carve this one out. A reminder to every little community member we have (big, too, if little offends you) that it's only an opinion and anything can happen. I'm very open minded to how this season is going to go and am looking forward to seeing how crazy it's probably going to be. NA is looking a little weaker than normal and EU is the cake to be eating this season. While it is weaker, there's still going to be some tough competition. For the regular season finale standings, these are my thoughts. 1. Toronto - They're about as equal to Seattle and while Seattle has some aspects that are stronger than Toronto's, I'm giving the fact that everything is mostly close (F, D and G), but their minor edge in Lindbergh in net could be the deciding factor that allows Toronto to edge Seattle out for first place in the NA conference. Again, things are very close. Anything can happen. 2. Seattle - I'm also putting Seattle here because it's a safety net. You put yourself 1st and you better damn end up there! Seattle's goalie has 160 less TPA but we know that doesn't mean everything. I believe Seattle has a stronger offensive core and while Toronto has the "strongest D-man", I'd say both defensive cores are equal. At the end of the day, will Seattle's goalie slip? Will Toronto's shine? Or will Seattle's impressive forward core out power their Canadian rivals? 3. DC Dragons - If NYA was stronger (better D and g), maybe you'd give them the edge. Calgary is also still not horrible, but they're missing some depth pieces as well. DC has a full roster and while it's not as good as management probably thinks, it's still a full roster with some advantages as well. They're not a bad team. Management, while making some questionable moves in the sense that they sped things up quicker than they maybe should have, did a good job building themselves up the best they could while in a weaker market. Their goalie is young and developing nicely. They're at that point now where they're going to be competitive. They do have 3 good forward players (nothing after that at the moment) and their defensive core can easily contend with Toronto's and Seattle's. So much so that it may even be the best as they have the two highest TPA guys. They can surely beat both Toronto and Seattle. We've seen STHS do things like this before and in reality too. Based strictly off TPE, they should be the 3rd best team. 4. Calgary - They have more depth than NYA and have the better goalies. Calgary, at this moment, as the better everything. They still are a weaker team but welcome to the league and conference where less than 50% of the teams are actually going for it. Someone who may have wanted to rebuild or retool with a good pick may not get that option. Then again, some GM's are more than okay with getting the 7th overall pick instead of 4th. This next draft is good, but the higher the better. Looking at their picks, they also don't own their first so it would be a head scratcher for them not to try and make playoffs. Why would we want to help out another team like that? The better they do, the better chances they have at improving the London pick for themselves as well. 5. NYA - New York has some good pieces at the moment. I know Jerome is on the block and I know at some point he's going to be moving this season. My speculation is GM's are going to wait to see how their rosters play out. Maybe someone makes a move because they need to shake things up. I'd imagine some would be open to acquiring them down the road when cap becomes more affordable. However, I do not see them purchasing him at the moment for the price listed or else he would have been traded already to someone who wasn't the owner of the player himself. It was a gamble and I'm sure it will pay off. If other GM's hold their guns though, that price comes down. However, there's always a fish in the pond that's dumb enough to bite the same hook twice! These guys also own their first so... tank city, baby? Things have been dark in NYA for some time! 6. Chicago - Chicago has more than they had last season and it surprised me a little bit. Depending what the two teams do above them, they could be a fringe team. Like the other two above them, they're only a fringe team because of how things are in NA. They have some ok because that are developing, but I expect them to be a lottery team for this season which is easily the best choice for them and management. With this being said, without owning their pick in the next draft it wouldn't surprise me if they made some extremely minor moves if the prices are low enough just to try and make some noise. What's a 3rd anyway nowadays!! 7. Vancouver - Same as above. It was hard to place these teams because they're all kind of the same with some differences but depth in areas. They do have some decent TPA players still and you never know. They also don't have their first round pick so it doesn't make a massive amount of sense to tank unless you want to scratch the other GM's back which I wouldn't strongly understand. there, over 1,000 words.. 11-17 april 18-24 april

Sunday is here which means tomorrow I have to go back to work. The 5 days off have been okay. Did a little car shopping with my brother, hung around a lot and didn't get up to too much. It's been relaxing and I needed it but at the same time things are pretty challenging at the moment. We're incredibly busy at work and then for the last few weeks I've been going through some "personal challenges" that have been... challenging. Things will be changing in life for me and I guess I haven't a choice but to take it head on and figure my way through it. If I am not around as much or not quite myself, I apologize. Just tough times.. With that said, let's get it over with and blab. Season starts soon. Excited for Seattle to get underway and see how everyone does. We have a really good roster so I don't have any doubts in these guys. They're hungry in the locker room and we're willing to put in the work to get things done. Off-season was a long one and this bugs a lot of people but it honestly doesn't bug me. It was nice. 35 seasons or something of that and not too many breaks during this tenure. When we get an extended vacation to slip away from things here it's always nice. I need to get back into writing and doing a little better here. I've just been busy in life with work, the dogs and all this personal crap. I'm still very much around the Bears and the locker room. I still pop in every time @FrostBeard streams etc. I'm always there for support. Just enjoying the quieter sides of the VHL life and it's very nice with what things have become.

Hello, it is me and I am back with my weekly edition of BANA BLABS. Man, I've been so busy lately and so focused on paying down debt, saving money and doing good at my job that It's been a mother fucker to come on and do tasks. I've managed to do it but when you are doing all of these outside things you can really feel the burn. A bunch of buddies and myself also joined a NHL 22 3's league and while our expectations were low, they started to rise. We started 5-1-1 on the season and have no slipped to 6-4-1. NOT good. Talk about being a true Oilers fan. Draft week in the VHL. Some stuff to blab about. Let's hustle, struggle and get it done. Draft is tonight. Seattle hasn't many picks. I don't mind being part of the drafts but our roster is set for the season and I'm VERY excited for it. We have an excellent roster and the group of people we have can be quiet but they're all awesome members of Seattle. Despite it being a potentially quiet draft for us, I am open to swinging deals. We could move a player (who knows) or we could also move an 84 pick for an 83 pick if the deal makes sense. Applied my players TPE and I have no idea what to think. It was harder than a mother fucker and unlike some who probably pissed around, did the math and broke out the mathematic science formula spreadsheets.. I just kinda guessed and tried to focus on ratios etc.. I guess we'll see how it goes. This season I will hit 2,500 games GM'd with the Seattle Bears as I head into my 35th season. OTHER BEAR MILESTONES.. For the Bears, MDM @Beaviss needs 30 goals for 50 in his career and 50 PTS to hit 100. Miglaskems @FrostBeard is 44A away from 100 and 28 PT away from 100! Our amazing captain @dasboot VINNY DETROIT had his best season last year hitting 1K hits as he averages 348.33 a season.. he's also 1 shot away from 600! CHARA @Jubis is one goal away from 100... who will get their milestone first? Will Vinny get one shot... or Chara get his goal??? Eightnine @BarzalGoat is 20A away from 100! Petrenko needs 29 points from 200 in his career ( @SlapshotDragon EZ).. That is all for now, okay?

Hello everyone, HAPPY SUNDAY! Little less happy for myself and I'd imagine a bunch of you as it's our last day off. I've just had four days off and let me tell you, it's flown by. During these days off I got done a bunch of stuff for my truck, some big time grocery shopping, stuff around the house including cleaning out the mountain of boxes we've had stacking up since Christmas, watched the new Jackass movie (it's pretty fun and super nostalgic) and then played that new Call of Duty mode with the tanks and shit with my brother and buddy. Overall, days off were super good. Weather has been super nice too. For the VHL we always got a ton of shit going on and now that we're in the off-season things have started picking up steam since I last did one of these. With that being said, let's go around the league with yours truly. League Announcements and Links S82 Off-season/S83 Season Schedule Hybrid Attribute Changes S82 Experience Points VHLE Changes Official VHL APP for iOS and Android VHL I can't remember if I included it in my last one but @Doomsday was hired for the Toronto Legion GM job and @InstantRockstar was hired for the LA Stars GM job. Both were good hires for their roles and will do good things with their teams hopefully. LA Stars have had some challenges with superSTAR wanting out and losing a bunch of players to either FA or retirement. They're managed to turn it into an okay reversal though. Toronto is on the complete opposite end and will be one of two teams making good noise in the NA conference. NA CONFERENCE -Weak. Calgary ended up trading Eagles, Reinhart, Nashervov and Jokinen this off-season. Vancouver trades away Nalwa, Aberg and Kitson. DC managed to get a really decent core of D together, their goalie is coming along nicely in development, however, they lack overall depth up front. They're also running out on those magical firsts that everyone is looking for and I question how wise it would be to remove it. At the end of the day, I'm sure they're gonna be okay. Looking strictly at the rosters and not into the future, they're a MID team though. Always have been, apparently always will be. EU CONFERENCE - HELSINKI is back! Florida Man, Jokinen and Nasherov are all new names to the team. They may actually be the team to beat in the EU. Warsaw found it in themselves to respond to DM's this season and it turns out when you do that, often good things have the potential of happening. They capitalized on the LA debacle and then added some strong pieces from Vancouver. It was an incredibly cheap off-season for them and will help them be the top team with Helsinki. The rest of the EU is still looking really good (better than the NA) and will be a blood bath conference this year. Hedge not gonna be happy??? VHLE Rome comes back to reverse the 3-0 on Bratislava. What a cool way to end Rockstar's career in the VHLE. I personally still don't like the VHLE. I understand the purpose of it all but didn't really enjoy the experience too much. No knocks against Barzy or anything. He's a hardworking GM that was one game away from winning it all. He puts in a ton of effort into everything on the daily. Just isn't my cup of team. Looks like @Baby Boomertook over Rome for Rockstar. No offence but I need to start creeping around the forums more because your name is a little less known that probably the other candidates. I guess that's what you get when you have all these leagues, all these teams and sometimes such high turnover rates. I wish you the best of luck in the role. GMing in these leagues can be a lot of fun and rewarding in some form of way. Looking at the trade section on the portal for the VHLE, looks like there has been 5 trades this off-season and somehow Vasteras was involved in all of them? Vasteras must be very busy trying to revive the legacy (never needed to be revived with how people on here always stoke the flames) and make their way towards a championship. Looks like rebuilding is in the cards but they managed to get some nice picks this off-season. Everyone else mostly standing still and remaining the same. A flood of trades and shit always happens at the start of the season. Come draft time, especially with the lower level GM's, you can expect a few more transactions to find their way through. VHLM Saskatoon wild went all the way and honestly not super surprised. Houston, Saskatoon and Philadelphia were the teams that I had thought of winning it all once playoffs started. The one surprise I did have was not Saskatoon winning as mentioned, but the fact that Philadelphia lost out in 6 games to the eventual cup champions. I don't know why. I didn't pay too much attention but it seemed like Philly really dominated the entire season. Saskatoon hoist the cup in 7 games against the Houston Bulls. The VHLM trade tracker on the portal is showing that we've had zero trades this off-season so far? That can't be true... usually the VHLM is popping off.. However, when you make your way to the forum to check things out, you'll notice no trades have been made. The VHLM is frozen and @Nobody is budging. This is more shocking to me than Philadelphia losing out honestly. The moment the off-season hits, VHLM GM's are usually swapping 4th round picks, trades an old player for two 2nds, three 3rds and a 7th round pick and all of that. This silence is strange. MORE TO COME. I expect draft day mayhem then!! Adison Bond @adison currently sits on top of the VHLM for TPE in this seasons prospect pool. Svatopluk Puk ( @Otaznik), Napoleon Dynamite ( @thadthrasher) Callum Murray ( @Berocka) and Cobalt Burns ( @Ledge) round out the Top 5 to make it a very exciting first round of drafting. This draft looks extremely healthy for the VHLM GM's and I could be wrong but looks like we're going to be going into 3 rounds of strong talent and depth picks for teams.

Happy weekend! The weather is starting to get nicer here... sometimes we get a little bit of snow but nothing ever lasts on the ground more than a day. Tomorrow is supposed to be +12 and the next week or so is supposed to be really nice as well. Gets me excited for later Spring and Summer as I love to hike, adventure, garden and fish the beautiful mountain streams. Me and a few buds joined an Xbox 4's CHEL league and we're doing okay too. My expectations were to go 0-28 on the season... We started the season off surprisingly hot and have hit a bit of a rough little stretch the last few games.. overall we're 6-2-1 which is miles better than I thought. Lot's going on in the VHL, let's quickly blab. World Cup and World Juniors are a go! I've always loved being involved with them. During my time as head of WJC, lots was going on and we always wanted to make it special to help the VHL and it's members. This is the first time in what feels like forever I won't be involved in something like this it feels like... maybe last season etc too but I was part of that other weird tournament ran by members.. It's a good change to not be involved honestly!! Bears are doing good. Got our roster set with some cap to spare... Very happy and excited with the roster. Chara to C, brought in AJW. We're looking good in a weaker conference. Excited to battle it out with @Doomsday and Toronto. Maybe some others in NA. Player builds are weird. Applying the TPE I was not a fan but that's probably to be expected. It's a VERY big change and will take some time to get used to. I'm sure after a career or two, things will be normal and like anything else.
