I wouldn't be surprised if the simple answer is 'no'. Thus far Materazo has had one point per game season, a 74 point campaign in S67 were he led Malmo in points that season. This offseason the additions of Ryan Sullivan Jr. and Matt Thompson pushed Materazo down the depth tree, but this year he will return to the first line with either Trevor Van Lagen, who recently renamed his player Rob Mattalex, or Phil Marleau. Sullivan Jr. enjoyed a breakout campaign in his first season as a forward, and he is hoping he can repeat that success but with a different linemate in Materazo. Materazo also hopes Sullivan Jr. can feed the puck to him with ease, the way he did to Thompson. A big year could possibly be in the cards for Materazo, but he likely caps out at around 80-85 points. That would certainly be a solid year but not a spectacular one, as it is likely Sullivan Jr. also steps back since he no longer has Thompson and his 25% shooting percentage to help him out.
