  1. Finally played
  2. Needed another post
  3. While I am on a hot streak, I figured it would be time to get some more stuff going since it's a new week. I have to keep my activity levels at an all-time high if I want to have this dude be good. My player hasn't gotten involved in any action yet for the Saskatoon Wild, but that will not stop me from writing about the team. This team is in pretty great shape to make a nice deep run. I mean the forwards may not be the best but the defense is coming into it's own and the goalie is pretty darn good himself. The team is sitting atop the standings and rightfully so after making moves to acquire the right pieces to put them in position to succeed. While the Wild may have started off the season rather slow, things quickly picked up and it seems like this team could definitely do some damage int he playoffs. I am just thankful I will get the chance to be a part of the run at would could be a chance at the Founder's Cup. In due time we will see if this team has what it takes to get the job done. I firmly believe we can do it.
  4. Not even a full season from my goalie and he will be leaving to the retirement lounge. Things started off hot but it kind of sucks starting at the beginning of the season and earning TPE before being draft. The trade deadline is always the best time to recreate and I kind of missed it by about a week or so. That's missing out on some TPE which could end up being crucial but I am not going to sit here and claim that I am going to go so many season, etc. I am just going to sit back and look at things at a yearly basis and go from there. As long as I can make it through a season at a time, I can look back and be proud of what I did. I don't want to get ahead of myself but I will be taking it one step at a time that way I can enjoy the small things. Right now my player is heading to the Saskatoon Wild in hopes of capturing a VHLM championship. My goal for the rest of the year is to earn the TPE that I need to in order to help this team come time of the playoffs.
  5. Woo YES!
  6. C - Davey Jones Birthplace: Miami, Florida, USA Height: 6'1" Weight: 200 lbs Jersey Number: 91 Drafted: S34 4th Overall Pick (Cologne) Username: @Trifecta Awards Season 35 Christian Stolzschweiger Trophy Winner with Cologne Express Season 36 Continental Cup winner with HC Davos Dynamo Season 36 Terence Fong Trophy winner with HC Davos Dynamo Season 36 Daisuke Kanou Trophy winner with HC Davos Dynamo Season 37 Victory Cup winner with HC Davos Dynamo Season 37 Terence Fong Trophy winner with HC Davos Dynamo Season 38 Continental Cup winner with HC Davos Dynamo Season 38 Terence Fong Trophy winner with HC Davos Dynamo Season 38 Mikka Virkkunen Trophy winner with HC Davos Dynamo Season 39 Terence Fong Trophy winner with HC Davos Dynamo Davey Jones was really underrated for most of his career. Playing two full seasons in the VHLM allowed Davey to come into the VHL with over 300 TPE as a rookie and his experience was more than enough to help him get adjusted to the pro level game. The Cologne Express took a chance on a young man at fourth overall who they thought would end up being a franchise cornerstone for the young expansion franchise. Davey would go on to amass over 80 points in his rookie season and eventually win the rookie of the year award. Things ended up getting rough between Davey's agent Da Trifecta and GM of the Express Joey Kendrick. This would lead to him being sent to the the HC Davos Dynamo for a pair of firsts and Tony Stark. Davey would help this team go on a nice run in the European Conference and they would head to the finals for four straight seasons and they would win two cups during that span. Eventually Davey would end up cutting his career short and he would end up retiring midway through his sixth season as a pro. Season 35 - Cologne Express | Germany Season 35 Regular Season S35 VHL - COL - 72 GP | 44 G | 42 A | 86 P | +26 | 42 PIM | 120 H | 397 SH | 25 SB Davey Jones seemed to have gotten off to a hot start after being called up to the Cologne Express for the 35th season of the VHL. Despite playing on the second line, he was pretty well prepared to handle those duties and he made sure to take advantage of lesser talent. Despite a long fought out season, it would end up with the Express not making the playoffs and this would end up being the only season that Davey Jones would play for the Express. Davey would also win the rookie of the year race and the votes were not even close. His reluctance to tell his GM that he would end up bolting in free agency would help GM of the Express Joey Kendrick manage to flip the up and coming star for picks which would help the franchise. Although Davey was traded, he still wished the franchise well and had hoped they would do well except in future meetings in the playoffs. Season 36 - HC Davos Dynamo | Switzerland Season 36 Regular Season S36 VHL - DAV - 72 GP | 55 G | 56 A | 111 P | +32 | 25 PIM | 26 H | 568 SH | 27 SB Season 36 Playoffs S36 VHL - DAV - 13 GP | 6 G | 14 A | 20 P | +4 | 2 PIM | 6 H | 66 SH | 3 SB By the time Davey's second season came around, he got off to a way better start than he did during his rookie season. He built upon his 86 point rookie year and he ended the year with 111 points which would be good for the fourth highest points in the league and the most points on the squad. Davey would be a part of a great squad that would start off marching their way through the playoffs against his former team the Cologne Express in which they would go on to sweep them in the first round. The second round would see them face off against the red hot Helsinki Titans and the Dynamo would take care of them in six games. Finally the finals were upon them and they would face the Toronto Legion. Things would seem a little rocky for the Dynamo but they stuck to their guns and their faith in Ser Davos to help lead them to their first cup. Davey would go on to win the playoff MVP trophy this year. Season 37 - HC Davos Dynamo | Switzerland Season 37 Regular Season S37 VHL - DAV - 72 GP | 35 G | 35 A | 70 P | +22 | 25 PIM | 42 H | 391 SH | 30 SB Season 37 Playoffs S37 VHL - DAV - 11 GP | 5 G | 5 A | 10 P | -2 | 4 PIM | 1 H | 49 SH | 3 SB Things started to slow down for Davey as he would only get 70 points on the season after the Dynamo added Naomi Young to the squad. The Dynamo would still go on to make the playoffs and this time around they had a bye in the first round. The Riga Reign would be the team that would win the first round in the European Conference and Davos would go on to face them. Going all the way to game seven of the series, the Dynamo would show signs of struggle and it seems like those struggles carried over with them to the finals. The finals would be a rematch of the previous year and this time the Toronto Legion would manage to sweep the Dynamo and things just looked bad for the Dynamo. Davey was honestly quite upset with his regular season play and his playoff performances as well. He had to up his game and he was ready for a new year. Season 38 - HC Davos Dynamo | Switzerland Season 38 Regular Season S38 VHL - DAV - 72 GP | 45 G | 55 A | 100 P | +41 | 0 PIM | 4 H | 437 SH | 24 SB Season 38 Playoffs S38 VHL - DAV - 11 GP | 6 G | 7 A | 13 P | +3 | 5 PIM | 2 H | 61 SH | 6 SB Season 38 brought Davey another 100 point season and things were alright in the world yet again. His play had gotten back up to where it was and he was ready for the playoffs which would be interesting to say the least. The Davos Dynamo would end up with the best European Conference record yet again and they would get a first round bye. The bye would make sure this team was well rested and wasn't going to let what happened last year happen again. The Riga Reign would be the Dynamo's opponents in the second round and Davos would take care of them in just five games. The finals was yet the third meeting up of the Dynamo and the Toronto Legion. Things would go better this time around as the Dynamo would win this series in six games and have just their second cup in Davey's young career. Season 39 - HC Davos Dynamo | Switzerland Season 39 Regular Season S39 VHL - DAV - 72 GP | 44 G | 45 A | 89 P | +39 | 51 PIM | 103 H | 397 SH | 41 SB Season 39 Playoffs S39 VHL - DAV - 12 GP | 6 G | 4 A | 10 P | -3 | 12 PIM | 3 H | 55 SH | 15 SB This would be the last season for Davey Jones and it seemed as if the 100 point mark would end up being out of reach for him on this one. The Dynamo yet again would have the European Conference's best record and would enjoy a bye. The playoffs would see them go toe to toe with a familiar foe in the Riga Reign. This would go on to be a seven game series in which the Dynamo would just squeeze by and would bring back memories of season 37. The only difference with these playoffs would be the finals opponent which would turn out to be the New York Americans. The Dynamo would try their best but in the end they would end up losing in just five games. Davey would end up calling it a career mid-season and he would finish out with a loss in the finals to end a pretty decent career. 7. No pattern other than I think I can handle a player, then I go inactive then I get this cool idea to try again after being inactive for awhile.
  8. After seeing the high need for then in the VHLM, I feel as if playtime could keep me interested. Also seems lots of VHL teams will be needing some soon.
  9. All good, thanks anyways bud. I got my team. The real task begins tomorrow for the TPE.
