1) We need to reset and focus on upcoming games, there's some tough teams out there, and we need to go into every match with 100% confidence and motivation to win. 2) My guy had a hot start here in Vegas, now he's cooling off, getting couple of assists in the last games, but I'm sure he's only beginning to show what he is capable off. 3) Mikko made it in the team, but I'm not that excited about the tourney itself, more focusing on the regular season with the Aces. 4) Only Europe. 5) I've no hate towards anyone, however I'd like my team to always be the best, so i guess anyone better than us, is automatically a rival. 6) listening to rap before games while taping the stick is a tradition Mikko does since his younger days.

We had a small talk with Mikko Aaltonen just before his flight back home [Vegas], to host the Houston Bulls. Q: So recently it came into the news that you have been traded from the Philadelphia Reapers to the Las Vegas Aces, can you comment on the trade, was there something from within the organization? No, not at all.. In fact Reapers are like a family to me, and always will be... The players were awesome and the Management was one of the best I've had in a long while *laughs*, this was just a case of a team selling and buying a future, and I would have done the same if I was the GM. Q: How do you feel, I mean, this is your first big transfer in your young career, excited.. nervous perhaps? I'm excited to start playing, in all these interviews I get asked what my main goal is and it will always be one thing - to play hockey and to win the cup, I'm always ready to take opportunities to reach these goals. It was a combination of nervousness and excitement at the same time. Q: You've already played 3 games with the Aces, and in those games you have 3G, 2A, how is it playing with different line mates and in different team? You know, the transition might not always be smooth, but for me it felt kind of easy, my line mates are awesome and with the number of practices we've had, our chemistry is still in the works, but so far so good.

1) I believe for any team it's easier to perform when you are an underdog in any situation, the pressure isn't there and we still strive to be the best and to top everyone else, it just adds extra motivation for us while taking off the pressure of maintaining that 1st position in the standings. 2) Since I'm one of those new guys coming in, I feel great. The teammates are awesome and we are excited to show you all our progress on the ice. 3) I'm excited to help the Aces go above .500, and I'm fully confident that we'll make it. 4) Didn't follow Aces season early on, lets look at the future and kill it. 5) Last season we faced vs Vegas in the quarter-final and got absolutely destroyed, with that said I'm not surprised we're doing good now. I'd say I was expected more from Minnesota, thought they would be an easy top1 for most of the season, however Halifax and Ottawa have surprised me in a good way. 6) My guy likes to relax at the hotels and take chill walks around the city.

We caught Mikko between the flight to Las Vegas, to play vs the Aces, here's what he had to say. "You know, our start hasn't been the greatest, actually nowhere near that, but we're focused and dedicated to turn things around, we're still full of energy and positivity and we still believe in making anything possible." On his personal stats "Yeah, I'm feeling great so far, I like the guys I'm playing with, [they're] setting me up with some beautiful passes and all I have to do is really just notch the puck in the net, but in all seriousness I like the people we have here, everyone likes each other and I think that's easily seen on the ice." "I'm all for us winning at the moment, however there have been talks in the case that if we aren't doing that well come the deadline, if there is interest, some of us might get moved, I personally am open to anything, of course I love playing in Philadelphia and the crowd here is amazing and my teammates are pretty much the best I could get, but I'm always ready to start a new chapter elsewhere, in the end I'm here to play hockey and get that trophy. We heard rumors that once you wanted to become a d'man, could you clear up this rumor? "Haha, I've no idea where you guys have heard this but yes there was a point where I almost committed to being a d'man, the opportunity was there but I didn't use it, maybe in the future.... who knows, so far in enjoying sniping pucks in the net.

1) I think that this expansion team didn't intend on a "miracle cup-run", so the chances are slim if I'm completetly honest here, BUT....... the chances of doing a really good cup run next season is what I predict. 2) Our LR is awesome! Everyone is friendly and we're all a bunch of jokesters 3) I would have made FrostBeard as our captain, as I felt he pushed for being one, but hey I did my part in voting and I've nothing against current captain/assistant captains. 4) Our Powerplay could be a lot better, but that's as to be expected since we are testing lines. 5) Gotta go with the homeboy Frosty, we both Latvians will dominate the league. 6) Mikko uses a boring black tape, he doesn't like to stand out among other people.
