  4. 1) I think this plays more into us, we hold ourselves to that standard and have to prove everyone that we can win again. 2) Any team, doesn't matter to me. 3) Philadelphia, definitely. As a former reaper, I always get welcomed there, the people understand that tough decisions have to be made, and the atmosphere is just amazing out there. 4) Philly has one of the top ones, for sure. 5) I feel like we slumped a bit during the mid-season, but now we're coming into form just in time for playoffs. 6) Much better, my individual stats have skyrocketed and it's just that I've gotten comfortable playing as an Ace, the transfer period did it's thing in the beginning, now I'm playing like I know I can.

  6. 2nd hat-trick in 3 games, also much needed victory for us
  7. idk I'm a S66 draftee and I think that getting more lines is a good idea, yeah the ice time will hinder for players, but tbh isn't that more realistic? like except top2 picks in the draft it's obvious that you wouldn't throw a rookie on the 1st/2nd line instantly, you'd put him on a 3rd/4th and let him develop slowly. Same with when u first get picked into a team, u don't get 1st line minutes, you start low and grind yourself up.
  8. As we all know, the S66 VHL Draft is slowly but surely creeping up on us, we decided to sit down and chat with Mikko, the young fin will experience his 2nd draft, and at the moment of this interview, he is ranked #5 on the Live Draft Rankings. Do you have any wishes as to where you would land then? Given that some VHL GM might read this in the future? Not really, I'd love to play for anyone that sees my potential and decides that I'm the right fit in their roster, other than that I haven't really invested time checking which GM's I'd like or not. So I don't have any specific preferences, hopefully this doesn't come back to bite me in the long run *laughs*. If you were asked to give your "sleeper" picks for the draft, who would you shout-out? Wow, that's a fun question.....I've always thought that these 3 players would amount to lots in the league, I don't believe people have found their true potential yet, I got to observe them by playing alongside them in the Reapers. John Frostbeard (@FrostBeard) - A real positivity magnet as I would best describe him, this guy makes sure that everyone is welcomed with positivity and you really can't go wrong with having a chat with him, active in the LR + the work ethic he has is impressive... Definitely a steal for anyone getting him. Charlie Paddywagon (@DMaximus) - The madlad in VHLM with 90 Defense(yeah its real check it out), that just shows the determination this guy has towards his position, the guy is always providing everyone with stats from previous games and will be a great fit to any team that is looking for a Top2 future d'man. Hans Gruber (@TheFlash) - The best german player in the draft and a well deserved title, this dude is determined to do some damage in the big league, btw he went from a Scoring Left Winger to a Playmaking Center just to help out his team, that should show you that this player is for real and is ready to help out his team in any way possible. Great teammate + awesome LR presence. I'd say that you can't really go wrong with any of these 3 picks, have at it VHL GM's and you can thank me later. - 380 words, claiming this (07/04 - 14/04) 2 + 1 for theme week.
  9. Greetings, I've decided to do something interesting to venture out of the whole "mock-drafting" that's happening now, I believe most of the picks would be the same, so lets dive into something more fun and less serious - looking at which player Nationalities are the most common and which aren't so common, also taking a look at each Nationalities highest TPE rated player. (All info I'll be taking from the latest @Tagger's "Live S66 VHL Draft Rankings") So lets start by looking at the most common Nationality in S66's draft....... - Currently 33 players in the upcoming Draft Don't think this would come as a shocker to anyone, USA is beating everyone in the list and by a lot, having 14 more players than the 2nd place, USA has got some impressive representatives in this upcoming draft. One of which is a guy who if you've followed the draft rankings since day 1, you've probably heard his name about 50 times, without further introduction...... Hunter Hearst Helmsley C | 6' 3" | 250 lb. | Age: 49 | TPE: 324 @Beaviss Yeah, not that much left to say that hasn't been already said about this legend, surely he ends up as a national treasure of USA. - Currently 19 players in the upcoming Draft Coming in hot in 2nd place is Canada, having less player than USA, however still an easy 2nd place, these two were the only in contention for 1st/2nd place, from now on it's a massive drop in player numbers, so who's the leading Canadian heading into the S66 Draft you ask..... I bring you the one and only - Rhye Tyr D | 5' 10" | 205 lb. | Age: 19 | TPE: 159 @Plate This good Canadian kid is having himself a decent season, being just over a point per game, Rhye is the highest rated Canadian in this draft. - Currently 6 players in the upcoming Draft A surprising drop to me, I expected there to be more than 2 Nationalities that dominate the list, but here we are, Sweden has dominant roots in the history of hockey, but who's leading the Swedes in the draft......? Maximilian Kirbsson C | 6' 0" | 195 lb. | Age: 18 | TPE: 217 @Kirby This Swedish powerhouse is absolutely killing it in Houston right now, well over a point per game, this player is looking to go high in the draft and make an instant impact in the VHL. - Currently 4 players in the upcoming Draft A not so big of a drop, still the numbers we are in right now are really small, however this is the 4th biggest Nationality among rest of the draftees, lets take a look who is leading the Germans........ - Hans Gruber C | 6' 2" | 205 lb. | Age: 18 TPE: 155 @TheFlash A playmaking Center turned Left Winger, Gruber was among the pieces traded by the Philadelphia Reapers, having found himself a stable home in Saskatoon, this guy has been killing it. Conclusion & Fun facts I expected couple of Nationalities to dominate the list, however I did not expect such drastic drops, would be fun seeing more diversity in the coming years of this league. - The highest player on the list who is the only one from his country is Kari Jurri(@hockeyis66, The Netherlands), currently listed #4. - There are a total of 29 different Nationalities in the upcoming S66 Draft. - Both #1 and #2 ranked players, who sit comfortably in their positions are both from USA, Hunter Hearst Helmsley & Shane Mars respectively. - Most popular position within the ranks of USA is Defense, having 10 representatives. - 570 words, claiming this (07/04 - 14/04) 6 + 6 for theme week.
  10. I've only experienced the VHLM dispersal draft so far, and I've got to say it was very exciting watching it live(watched it on @Sonnet's stream, awesome stuff) and the suspension of waiting while your name gets picked is fitting, and if something I think it adds more excitement to the whole process, and seeing you say how it was pre-drafted earlier, that just kills the excitement, not that it changes when I found out about it, but the atmosphere is kinda ruined.

  12. We asked Mikko Aaltonen some questions after his game vs the Reapers. "How was the game for you, obviously you won it and given the state of Reapers that would have been only expected of u, how was it playing against your former team that drafted you?" "Yeah, you know it's always hard in situations like these, where you have to win over a team that won you [in terms of drafting] over. I'm grateful that I got to experience being a reaper and I'll always be a reaper. Back on the game, we had full confidence and we thought of this more of a practice game, no offense to anyone on Philly, yall are gonna be nasty next season". "Just yesterday you recorded your 30th goal, are you happy with your performance this season?" "Totally. I've done great this season and I've no intentions of stopping, I'm hoping to get atleast 90 points, and u know going for those 40+ goals wouldn't hurt either haha. "Next up is a game against the Ottawa Lynx, are you guys winning it?" "Easy."
  13. 1) I believe in us [Aces], finishing on top, we have the players to be able to pull it off, and now it's only the matter of focusing up and grinding the wins. 2) I think our chances are not that great given how the rosters of NA/Canada are so stacked, but we'll do our best. 3) I don't think there's 1 specific player which outshines the rest, all I know our 1st line is going to be very nasty. 4) Clearly HHH is a generational player, and no I don't believe anyone will stop him, he'll be one of the best and I'm confident in saying that he'll make it in the Hall of Fame. 5) An underrated player @DMaximus, this guy is not only good on the ice, but he's a cool guy off it too, providing us with stats from our previous games and always giving tips, shoutout to you my dude, keep doing great stuff. 6) Witcher 3, if u reading this haven't played the game yet, idk how u are alive, rush to the steam store and get yourself an amazing gem of a game. Literally the best game I've played and pretty sure will ever play. Graphics + Story work so well in that game, it's almost impossible to describe the masterpiece, all u have to do is experience it yourself.
  14. Saw some people on the discord debating on how standards for graphics need to change(i.e - need to swap logos or else not that realistic looking), I'm not that experienced with GIMP as this is only my 3rd final project on it, but I did my best.
