  1. 1) I think we did the opposite, we bribed the scheduler to give us an easier start to the season hehe 2) Not at all, in fact it has given Ove more time in the gym and on the ice to further improve 3) Teamwork, we all work as a unit. 4) Honestly our entire 2nd line, they have been massive in our start this season 5) Think Flowers moving to Forward has made an impact, giving more ice-time to rookie defenders while also filling a need in a high tpe forward 6) Pretty chill
  2. F - Kyl Oferson instead of Brown
  3. D - Latrell Mitchell @IamMOOSE
  4. F - Benny Graves @Nikdandrea34
  5. 1) Training hard, gotta be in top shape to compete in the VHL 2) 10-15 points, lots of hits hopefully. 3) Just gotta play solid and defensive hockey 4) Best 2nd round pick in VHL history (Kappa) 5) I think the change of scenery will do good for Jared Willis, absolute stud. 6) The pandemic hasn't been affecting me that bad, mostly I'm just chilling
  6. Name: Ove DyrdahlBirthplace: Hamar, Norway.Position: DefencemanHeight: 6'8Weight: 225 lbAge: 19 S74 (HFX) - 72 GP | 4 G | 32 A | 36 P | + 41 | 105 PIM | 166 HIT | 39 SB | ''Ove is a tremendous defensive-minded defenceman, that plays a heavy hitting game and shuts down the opponents very well'' Strengths: Ove is a traditional stay-at-home defenceman, that can chip offensively on rare occasions, he has good skating and with strong edgework and agility, which helps him cover a lot of ice, accompanied with a very high hockey IQ this helps Dyrdahl read the play very well thus cutting down passing lanes and forcing shooters into bad positions on the outside. He also uses his stick very efficiently to strip the opponents off the puck and create turnovers. He also plays a heavy hitting game, always looking to throw a big hit and change the flow of the game. Dyrdahl also has really good strength and balance which makes him a hard target to body check and knock down. Dyrdahl is also able retrieve dump-ins and loose pucks and avoid forecheckers and get the puck up the ice of the net, Dyrdahl is a good passer who can create offence in transition with a good first pass, he uses his size and balance well to protect the puck. Weaknesses: While on paper his stats weren't the worst, it has to be taken in consideration that he played on a very stacked Halifax team, and most of the offensive work was done by his teammates, it could be seen that when put in offensive situations Dyrdahl looked lost, especially this was noticable once he was trusted to quarterback a powerplay, his first passes were good, but he can be read very easily, his slapshot can be a cannon, but right now he isn't utilizing it correctly and prefers to pass rather can shoot. Dyrdahl plays with an edge, and sometimes too close to the edge, with all the heavy hitting sometimes that includes some illegal checks which can result in him getting a major, can also energize the team by taking a fight with an enemy, not the best fighter right now but has the potential to be one. Projection: While this player probably will not make instant impact in the team he joins, he is a safe pick for any team in the first round, steady player that will improve with the right coaching and with the right system and players around him, can potentially turn into a big two-way defenceman down the line.
  7. 1) Good, trust the management and trust the process 2) Tour around the arena 3) Training hard and improving, gotta be sharp for the next season 4) Ove goes back to norway for the holidays, wants to spend time with family 5) I heard Halifax will be hosting a snowman building contest, the coolest one wins 6) Arm wrestling, Ove is a beast and can pretty much beat anyone
  8. 1) Didn't really follow the playoffs after our rather disappointing exit 2) Become even better on the ice and off the ice 3) Probably will invest more into checking now, a bit into fighting and overall just upgrade the holy trinity(skating, defence , puckhandling) when I have the chance 4) Big handwarmer guy, Ove gets sent a massive box for the winter 5) A hot mocha with a cookie, just the best. 6) Dyrdahl would become a good energy line player, good grit not big on scoring though.
  9. 1) When you wander around the arena alone sometimes it feels like the Halloween mannequins are alive 2) We'd team up with the Aces and get the best roster VHLM has ever seen, 0 lost games throughout the season 3) Sad that we did as bad as we did, but still proud of our dominating regular season, only onwards from here! 4) Work hard to impress some scouts and get drafted in the VHL 5) I've heard Osman has some sick moves, probably just peer pressure him into doing it 7) Fans have been setting up their own Halloween decorations around our arena and from above it looks like a massive haunted city, best place to trick or treat for sure.
  10. 1) haunted house event, the one who gets scared the most has to get everyone drinks for a month 2) reese's halloween candy, simply because they're the best 3) Halloween isn't that big back home in Norway, so Ove isn't a big costume guy 5) Defensive side of the game, good +/- with some big hits to his name 6) Offense for sure, he isnt the most offensive player right now, but that will come with time 7) Probably the Aces, but we just have the better players
  11. 1) Ove having 1 goal and that goal being the GWG, pure clutch scorer 2) Modern and big, gotta seat as many people as possible and have them enjoy their time 4) Always keep it simple... ''lets go out there, have fun and win this damn hockey game'' 5) The finest lobster rolls in the nation 7) Establishing myself in the VHL as a defensive defenceman 8. Dyrdahl doesn't really consider himself as a celebrity, he just loves playing hockey and wants to win some cups
  12. 1) This locker-room doesn't really have anything annoying, at least I haven't seen anything yet. 2) Ove is a hard worker, he takes every loss as an opportunity to get better and stronger for the next game. 3) I've heard San Diego are big party people this season, gotta ring them up sometime. 4) Dyrdahl could be a good power forward, probably could score more points 5) I like pineapples but they get boring fast, love bbq pizza. 6) Every sponsor is welcome to hand us free gear
  13. ya that's right I'm doing a media spot this week cuz this theme is a banger. I could have gone many routes - picking my favorite D.C teammates and slapping them all on a line, my favorite Riga teammates that I played with.... but ultimately I decided to go way back and present to you all the monster cheat-code line that once used to "dominate" and "terrorise" people in the VHLM, from speeding around the defenders to crunching the enemy forwards into the boards so hard they couldn't stand up for a week, and lastly to deking the enemy goaltenders: LW - Hans Gruber (@TheFlash) - Some might know him more of a center but a little known fact is that he started out as a winger in the VHLM and thats because when he joined the Reapers we didn't have a playmaking center and we were overloaded with wingers and he agreed to swap to C in order to help out the team, just that should show you what a gem this guy was, legend. C - Walter Clements (@cpetrella) - 6'8 250lb absolute unit of a player, steady two-way player, led Philadelphia through their "legendary" inaugural season straight to a cup win the next season in his 2nd season RW - John Frostbeard (@FrostBeard) - No intro needed for this guy, he was there alongside Clements for the cup run and more widely known in the VHL for his tenure with the Seattle Bears and their 2x continental cup run, it was an honor playing alongside him in D.C and Philadelphia. D - Charlie Paddywagon (@DMaximus) - Got more attention towards the later stages of his career but I can promise you he was just as good in the VHLM, Very reliable two-way defender, huge teamplayer and also a big stats guy. D - MORPHEUS DESTRUCTIOS (@Abaddon) - If you don't know who this guy is just by hearing his name.... you've missed out, one of the scariest and most hard-hitting players I've ever played with, this guy doesn't ask questions twice before nailing you into the boards and then punching you to add insult to injury. G - Wendy Kandee Cain (@SlashACM) - This might confuse some people, looking at his player profile you don't see Philadelphia anywhere but that's because he was traded in their first season for assets, but the real reapers know who this guy is, helped Philadelphia get their first franchise wins and overall made the locker-room a very cool and funny place to hang out in. Looking at it back, no wonder this lineup never existed after the VHLM, the league recognized that it's basically a cheat code or a hack in simonT, if this roster met up in the VHL, every cup would be theirs forever(or at least until they all retired) Every one of these players were not only good on the ice but also really nice locker-room additions, everyone added their own element in the Philadelphia squad. Claiming for theme week 11/10
  14. 1) Team effort - everyone is progressing and that really shows in our performances 2) If I had to pick one of these probably above, I thought we would be good but not this good, not complaining though #boatgang 3) Absolutely 4) Doing about as good as I thought he would, occasionally gets some points, but a very steady physical defensive defenceman 5) Insane draft, everyone is getting better and we'll get even better the further we go 6) Mississauga seems like the only team that could challenge us, but I'm still confident we'd best them in a series
  15. 1) Started out shaky but we're slowly getting into our grooves and playing like we should. 2) I can't really point out a single person, it's a team game and a team effort, everyone is doing their part, some with clutch goals, some with nasty apples. 3) Pretty much as I expected Ove to perform, he's laying some good hits while occasionally getting an apple, the first goal he scores will be special for sure. 4) Just gotta keep on grinding and improving. 5) Think Empty will produce more in the upcoming games, hes playing a limited role on a stacked team but he's much better than what he's produced so far. 6) Good, everything going according to plan.
  16. D - Hulk Hogan D - Alex Bridges @Spartan
