  1. 1. How do some goalies sleep at night knowing that Shawty Nananana scored on them? 2. I guess it depends on the person and the mood. If you're really flowing with creative juices, it can come pretty easily, but sometimes you just get stuck in a rut. 3. Make Leadership the most important stat in the game. Max Leadership, best player. 4. Place it right smack in Lichtenstein. Gotta get hockey to the best country in the world somehow. 5. My player's arms are like pasta noodles. I think preschoolers would beat them in a fight. 6. I'd like to see what Gustav can do. Either way I'd probably be disappointed.
  2. 1. Sad to see all those guys go but it's what had to be done. I think you got a pretty decent haul for them all. Should be a good start to the rebuild. 2. Well I feel like you probably held out with some deals a little longer. It didn't feel like you were in too much of a rush to move some pieces so you were able to build up the deals a little more. With Malmo it must've happened pretty quickly, with not as much negotiating. 3. I don't necessarily know who should take that spot, but I feel like the right decision will be made. Someone with at least a little bit of a history of success I'd assume. 4. Winter. Practically the leader of the weebs. Now I'm practically alone on the team. 5. The first ever message sent through a computer was LOL because they attempted to send LOGIN but the computer crashed at LO and after it restarted it only managed to add on an L to that message before it was sent. 6. Not now. Hopefully soon though. I mean if you don't have anyone either we could...

  4. Shawty has had a tough time getting in some much needed rest and relaxation. Although there always seems to be a good amount of time between each season, something always ends up going wrong. Everything is planned out and they’re ready to go then BOOM, it falls through. Season 72 Offseason After coming over from Norway to play a handful of games with the Houston Bulls, Shawty looked to go back to their home country before the draft and spend time with their family at their summer home. Houston is way too hot in the summer anyway, especially by Scandinavian standards. With a week before the flight back home, Shawty goes and double checks everything to make sure they aren’t leaving anything behind anything. During the search, they notice that their passport is missing. Nananana spent the whole week prior turning the apartment they were living in upside down trying to track down their passport with no avail. The deadline passes, and they’re stuck in Houston. Unpacking their bags, they find the passport in their carry-on bag. Season 73 Offseason Shawty wasn’t going to take any chances this time. They make a habit of carrying their passport everywhere they go, always in their front right pocket. Plans are made, and Shawty is heading back home with 2 weeks before the next season starts. Nothing was going to ruin this vacation. The day comes, Shawty grabs their bags, gets in a taxi, and arrives at the airport. The moment they get past the airport security and are heading towards the terminal, they get a phone call informing them that they’ve been traded to the Halifax 21st. There wasn’t much time left to vacation now that they have to move all their belongings from one country to another, so Shawty had to cancel their flight to Norway and book another one to Canada. Season 74 Offseason No more vacations planned that close to a season beginning, passport still practically stapled to that front right pocket. This is going to be the year Shawty gets a vacation. Shawty decides that they’ll stay in Canada for this vacation, since it’s close enough to Norwegian temperature. Shawty decides to look for something more local, no need for a passport. They find a ski resort nearby Halifax called Martock, located in Windsor, about an hour drive away. The plans are made, a car is rented, and Shawty makes their way to the resort. Everything seems like it’s going to plan perfectly. They check into their resort, get into their room, unpack a bit, relax for the first time in a while. The next day comes, and all the slopes are closed. A massive heat wave has hit Nova Scotia, well, massive for Canadian terms. The risen temperatures has made the slopes spotty in some areas and too dangerous for even experienced skiers to brave. With no actual activities to do, Shawty checks out early and heads back to their Halifax apartment. Season 75 Offseason With the move to Davos in the VHL, Shawty is much closer to home. Because of this, after being drafted, they took a flight to Bergen, their hometown in Norway, instead of Davos. Shawty spent a handful of days with their family and then took their car on the long ride to their new team’s city. With their vehicle, there were plans this offseason to tour around Europe, nothing concrete really, just sort of a “go with the flow” type of vacation. The season ends, and they’re ready to go. Unfortunately, things just can’t go right for Shawty. They don’t even make it out of Davos before their car breaks down. Transmission is dead, engine is dead, battery is dead, oil levels incredibly low, hell even the wiper fluid was running low. Shawty had a decent chunk of change set aside for this tour around Europe, and now all that money has to go towards a new car. Shawty thought that maybe they could squeak in a smaller trip, maybe just hitting a few countries; however, the sleezbag that sold Shawty the car didn’t renew the registration, so they had to undergo that whole process as well, eating up too much time, energy, and funds to make any real vacation worth it. Maybe this will be the offseason Shawty can finally get a vacation. One can only be so unlucky for so long, or perhaps the universe will decide to screw them over again. The latter is probably more likely. Maybe all this is because they pissed off a “witch” before they came over to play in the VHLM and now they’re cursed for eternity or however long a curse is supposed to last. At this point, only time will tell. --- 789 words, written during my morning class
  5. Shortly after signing a four season deal with HC Davos, Shawty Nananana finds himself on a team heading towards a rebuild after a poor record early in the season. Shawty released a statement to the media "Obviously it is unfortunate that we won't be competing this year, but I asked to be signed to that contract knowing that there were going to be good and bad seasons within its duration. I don't care if this team is at the top of the league or a bottom feeder. I have faith in my GM and believe that they will make the right decisions regarding the team in the end and I cannot wait to be a part of what they build." Davos is currently sitting at 6th in the European Conference, 3rd worst in the conference and the league, and is expected to sell off some assets for future picks and prospects. The timeline for the rebuild is unknown but it is expected that the team will struggle for a handful of seasons, but will give time for prospects, as well as younger players like Shawty to develop and be contributing factors in Davos' future success.
  6. 1. Yea I'd agree that that's the right call to make. The team has been struggling and it's not likely that we really make anything out of this season. It sucks but it is what it is. 2. I could see Jensen and Jokinen being dealt, maybe even Dawson or possibly even Hornet. A lot of guys who could be on the move, but I doubt we really want to sell off everyone. 3. 2-4 seasons. Depends on how well we draft and also free agent signings 4. I highly value transparency in a gm. It doesn't matter what the state of the team is and what the intents of the gm are, as long as you're open and honest about it, I'm on board. I like teammates to be engaging and friendly, someone who you'd want to be with, not just someone who either fades into the background or overly rude and undesirable. 5. I've always wanted a truck, but I wouldn't call that a dream car, more of an accessory. Maybe a Tesla Model S. Very nice looking car. The only thing I hope is that I wouldn't forget to plug it in 6. I don't feel like I've contributed much to be honest. I mean I've been a decently active, and added a couple podcasts to the forum but other than that, my footprint isn't much. I'm hoping to contribute more eventually, maybe work my way up to becoming a GM after a while.
  7. I'd give a dollar amount, but I know no matter how much I say, I'm going to end up remembering about this like 5 years after leaving and come back just to see if the sim doesn't hate Davos anymore.
  8. 1. I mean I haven't been terrible. Kind of stagnated pointwise after a hot start but at least haven't necessarily been a detriment to the team 2. The answer is obvious. The sim doesn't want Davos to have any hope. A name and logo change will put us onto the sim's good side. 3. Well I think we have an okay prospect pool, and considering the sim hates us, we'll have a couple decent picks in the upcoming draft. Sets us back but the replacements are coming up. 4. Gotta have Ovi. Russian Machine Never Breaks. Through pure Russian testosterone, we will survive. 5. I'd be in utter shock if any member got a tattoo of my username. Hell I'd be $100 that nobody would. 6. I'd love to see the Sedin twins come back. Pretty sure all of Vancouver would too considering they can only beat Ottawa right now.
  9. The lack of parity in the VHLM is something that really gets on my nerves. It's tough, but possible for teams to remain competitive for multiple seasons, but a lot of teams just decide to go boom or bust, rebuild, repeat. It's not fun to watch, and to be honest, for me at least, it wasn't much fun to be a part of. When my player was in the M, I was on a pretty stacked Houston team. We ended up getting bounced, and the team proceeded to go into the basement. I wanted to stay with the team, even if they weren't going to be that good, because I knew my player was going to get a lot more minutes, and in my opinion, playing time > Winning. With how the M goes, however, I was traded to another stacked team in Halifax. Guess what happened to Halifax after that season. Now Houston is looking amazing again while Halifax is sitting close to the bottom of the standings. It's just not entertaining to see 1-3 super teams, 1-3 completely tanking teams, and then a bunch of "eh" teams in the middle. There's always going to be a really good team, and there's always going to be a really bad team, but it shouldn't be a nearly unbeatable team and a team that couldn't win a game even if the other team had a soccer goal. Parity needs to be promoted, supported, and eventually become the norm. We can't have just one season every ten where the league actually looks balanced.
  10. 1. I think we have the pieces necessary to get into the playoffs. Of course you never know and we could just be screwed due to sim luck, but I have hopes that we'll at least make it. 2. 0-64-64 +/- 4 3. There's always high scoring games. It's random and the randomness caused a lot of them to be at the beginning. We'll probably have a few more but we'll return to normalcy soon enough. 4. Still with Davos, still a solid dman, still putting up close to zero goals. 5. People are complaining about them, despite having yet to lose in regulation. Caps have taken a big hit with the covid stuff but they still chugging along. Defense is still coming together and getting used to each other, and goaltending is going to be a scary thing for most of the season; also Ovi needs to get going if he wants to catch up to Gretzky, but overall the offense is solid. Wilson is our best player which is pretty funny. 6. Frozen mangoes straight out of the freezer.
  11. 1. Secretly constructing a carbon copy sim engine so he can find the cheat codes that gives his players god stats. 2. More talent will always be good. Overall improvements in every area wouldn't be too bad to see. 3. We need our players to max out leadership so we can all give extremely motivating speeches, leading to more wins 4. Judging by his amount of debt, I think Evander Kane got TOO much credit. Probably doesn't have any anymore though. 5. Japanese. My favorite anime's manga is only in Japanese and I'd really want to be able to read it so I can feel something one last time. 6. Probably a house or some sort of property. It's good to tie your money up in property, since the value always grows on it due to the increasing population and the decreasing amount of accessible, purchasable land.
  12. 1. Well that's not very nice of Victor to say. I demand an apology before I answer that question. 2. Smellypoopyeater29420xdswagmaster2011gamergod_xx 3. Bring in some big offensive talent and I think we'll be good. 4. Honesty. I don't mind if a gm builds a good or bad team, as long as they make sure all the players know the plan 5. I've been meaning to watch 1917 for a really long time but just have never found the time 6. Caps winning the Stanley cup. Brought tears to my eyes seeing Ovi lifting that trophy.
  13. I'm a first pairing defenseman... to my friends
  14. 1. I mean, it's Davos, so we're probably gonna miss, let's be real. The other team, I'm thinking London. They've been looking pretty flat lately. 2. I mean Calgary is looking really legit right now, but I'm gonna say Vancouver. Their offense is looking unreal. 3. I mean defense is pretty essential to any build so I think that's really helping me out. I think I'm being held back by the system giving me a base scoring above zero. Like, c'mon man don't give me a chance to score! 4. I've been craving a really good steak for so long. 5. Elon Musk to see if he can hook me up with a Tesla or somethin. 6. I definitely have to go with finishing my first semester of college. It was a big adjustment but I'm happy I got through it. I'm really excited to get started with next semester too.
  15. 1. We've learned that it doesn't matter what last week showed, the next week does not care. It's something that can be seen in the VHLM, and something we see in Davos 2. We're still developing, so there's bound to be some growing pains. We just need to strengthen up defensively, get in front of more shots and hope that we can give the tendy an easier time. 3. Honestly we could bring in any position and it would help us out. We could use some more assistance on the blueline to help shore up the defense, a goaltender that might fair better against the high shots, or a forward that can really generate some points and boost our offense. 4. McWolf seems like a solid choice for that. 5. Weber Grills. Every man needs a high quality grill and I am no exception. Grilling is life. 6. Pretty softspoken but will occasionally speak up when called upon. Really just focused on the melody in their head.
  16. I think I said Season 75 instead of 74. I gotta start doin these earlier I'm too tired for this ?
  17. I have added Halifax to my no-go list. All I feel is pain
