  1. 1. Absolutely. We have a few tough games ahead, but we finish with four very beatable teams. 2. Not as great recently, but I can't complain. Best season yet and we're rolling into the playoffs. 3. I'm almost a month into Florida Man II. Earning like crazy. Really looking forward to that player. 4. Although I'm not particularly picky on where I go, following in the footsteps of Florida Man to Mississauga would be cool. As far as VHL teams go... I love Seattle and that's always #1 for me even if it likely isn't possible. New York, London, or Malmo would be fun teams that I haven't been on yet. 5. I certainly hope so. v.2 was given a tough situation and has handled it about as well as you can. I respect anybody that is willing to go all in when they could've easily given up and sold all of their players. 6. There are about 6-7 teams I could see making a deep run. Helsinki or Moscow in round 1 is going to be a difficult challenge, then it doesn't really get easier. The standings are super tight this season and I truly believe we can hang with anybody.
  2. Absolutely. I think you have the potential to go top ten as well. Keep on earning!
  3. The trade deadline has passed and the S99 class is set. I'm not busy today and need TPE. So, I'm going to expose you to my wealth of knowledge and wisdom. Please enjoy my 100% accurate predictions for the first round of the S99 draft. 1st Overall: D - Titus Cunningham Warsaw needs everything. Pairs nicely with Venkman. Thad is going to build a great player and give Warsaw a lot to look forward to when they are competitive again. 2nd Overall: D - Additional Pylons Chicago needs everything but a goalie. If they don't want von Doom to get absolutely shelled they should probably invest in defense. Pylons should be exactly what they need. 3rd Overall: G - Yor Bjorven Drafted Copia last season and already have a couple promising Dmen. Get their goalie for the future and they're looking pretty good in a couple seasons. (from Prague) 4th Overall: D - Krister Von Casar Tzesar Prague's struggles are turning into a gift from the hockey gods for Vancouver. With a couple defensemen retiring soon, KVCT is going to fit in perfectly. 5th Overall: C - Zara Wolf Slam dunk pick for LA. They already have Bubbles and Tuomala on D and LaFleur in net. Now you get your stud center. (from DC) 6th Overall: D - David David Their biggest need is likely defense. David will fit in well with Groenvold. Lots to be excited about in London. 7th Overall: RW - Igor Sokolov Pair Igor with the two rookie phenoms Bolivar and Carti. London is looking like they'll be a top team for a while pretty soon. 8th Overall: C - John Cowgill NY is an older team that doesn't have much center depth. So, Cowgill will fit right in with the rest of their youth movement. 9th Overall: LW - Florida Man II Their biggest need is defense, but with Dassler retiring they could use a forward as well, so they're going to grab the best player available (no bias). (from Vancouver) 10th Overall: RW - Boing Boing DC has some good young players/prospects. They'll be adding another solid winger and an elite name. Imagine getting scored on by Boing Boing. 11th Overall: D - Takashi Borisyuk (from Riga) 12th Overall: G - Komi Kamal (from Seattle) 13th Overall: LW - Family Mart (from Toronto) 14th Overall: D - Chase Breeze 15th Overall: C - Patrick Finnegan (from Helsinki) 16th Overall: RW - Viener Schnitzel

  6. VHL Prospect Scouting Report Florida Man II United States of America 25 years Left Wing 6'3", 210 lbs. Florida Man II is a top prospect for the S99 Victory Hockey League draft class. It has been nearly a month since the American forward joined the Halifax 21st, and despite a slow start, has remained confident through the growing pains. When he isn't breaking the law at any given moment, Man is best described as a complementary winger who excels in the defensive aspects of the game. Comparable to players such as Miner vHLer, Tim Robinson, or Toby Kadachi. Strengths 1. Defensive positioning Man does not play your typical aggressive defensive style. He prides himself on playing a smart game that allows himself to manipulate the time and space of puck carriers by giving them a false sense of security before forcing a turnover and ending their hopes and dreams of VHL stardom. 2. Stick checking He has exceptional reach and is quite sneaky with his stick. He has mastered the art of baiting opponents by keeping his stick close to his body with the expectation of the player placing the puck in an area more susceptible to a poke check. On top of that, he backchecks like a menace and is elite at stealing pucks from players in all three zones. 3. Skating Buddy has unbelievable wheels. There are not many players faster than Man when he gets going. Whether he is skating with the puck, establishing a forecheck, or closing gaps in the neutral zone, you can expect him to be buzzing around the ice each and every shift. Weaknesses 1. Shot selection While it is not necessarily a glaring issue, Man is willing to shoot from just about anywhere. Sometimes even intentionally at the opponents' heads to keep them in line. 2. Look good, play good kinda guy Man is all about the spotlight and is frequently looking to make unconventional plays just to show up on a highlight reel. He is a bit of a puck hog, but he generally makes up for his turnovers with great defense. As far as he is concerned, he is the best player on the ice and could not care less what his teammates think. Big time glue guy. 3. Wanted in five countries Man is no stranger to engaging in highly illegal criminal activity. Currently he has warrants for his arrest in Argentina, Egypt, Luxembourg, Panama, and North Korea. As long as the VHL does not expand to any of those countries, he should be okay. Though it is not guaranteed he keeps it clean during his time in the league. Conclusion Man should be an impact player almost immediately. If teams can find a way to keep him in check, they will be getting a potential two-way beast who is also extremely loyal despite his sporadic behavior. Will teams be willing to bet their future on this egomaniac? We shall find out very soon. 477 words
  7. I'm doing a piece on the S90 class that will come out after awards. I definitely get how having a good player with no playoff success can drain the fun out of this. My best recommendation would be to work your way onto the Bears. Bana is gonna give you a good opportunity to win at least a couple times throughout your player's career. Also, Anisimov is 10th in goals and 11th in points since the start of hybrid attributes. Pretty damn good.
  8. Looking back, it is actually hilarious that SWN is having the best season of his career in season 8. Simon really wasn't ready for whatever the hell I cooked with this player
  9. S90 class HYPE
