  1. 1. What is your player doing this offseason? Rest and relaxation. Gotta tone it down so I can be in good condition for the upcoming season. 2. Does your player have any offseason hobbies? if so what are they? Committing stupid crimes and gaming. Have to hold up my reputation as a Florida Man. 3. Where does your player live during the offseason? All over Florida, but mostly Miami. 4. Does your player play any other sports during the offseason? Nothing but hockey. No point risking unnecessary injury. 5. What are some goals you have for this season you have coming up? 50 goals and 100 points. Hopefully we can win it all as well. 6. What is your players favorite offseason food to eat? Pizza. Lots and lots of pizza.
  2. 1. Free Agency starts today. Thoughts on how it's played out so far? Any signings you like or dislike? Love the Rasputin pickup. He's gonna go off. 2. Our roster is coming together, with many new faces. Do you think the group will mesh well or need some time to develop chemistry? Shouldn't take long. They're all beastly! Just wait and see. 3. What has been the highlight of your off season so far? Not much. Rest and relaxation. 3. What are your thoughts on the new VHLE conferences? Necessary or pointless? Honestly don't know much about it. Just gonna play some puck and try to win with Stockholm again. 5. What is your favorite city or town to visit during the off season? Miami because I'm a Florida Man. Gotta stay true to my roots. 6. Are you a gamer? If so, do you play on Xbox, Playstation, or PC? What game are you currently playing? Yup, I play a little bit of everything. Enjoying the Halo Infinite multiplayer so far.
  3. 1. Big fan of the acquisitions so far. Really hope we can make the most of them. 2. Adding Florida Man, but that's more of a me problem. I gotta work my way into the lineup. It likely won't happen right away, but hopefully I can do that sometime soon. 3. I'd like to be a hell of a lot better than I was last season. Good not great. Just need to find that next gear. 4. I'm a Hawks fan, so I gotta be a homer here. Despite a poor start from the entire team, Seth Jones has been much better than I initially expected. Analytics nerds beware, he could go on a heater this year. 5. Patrick Kane and McDavid. Kaner is my guy, and McDavid is just filthy. 6. I think they're the real deal. Will they win the cup this year? It's possible. Definitely in the mix, but there's a long season ahead of us.
  4. hell yeah i'm on a team with biggie cheese. no chance we lose
  5. 1. What are your thoughts about the Stars impending rebuild? Can't always get what you want. It's unfortunate that the season has gone this way, but if you can't win no matter what you try. It was time to move on. 2. Who do you think will be next player traded after Pines? All I know is nobody has spoken to me about being traded. It's not really my place to guess who will be traded. 3. Which team will be the biggest buyer as we head to the deadline? Maybe Chicago. Their window is closing pretty soon anyway. 4. We are a little over a quarter through the season, who is your quarter season MVP? Probably Emerson Jr. He's top 5 in most goalie statistics and Vancouver is in first right now. 5. Autumn has come which means it is pie season, what is your favorite type of pie? There's a peanut butter cookies and cream kind that my aunt makes for Thanksgiving every year that I really like. 6. What is your goal-song? Nothing in specific. I'll take whatever they put on for me.

  8. Prospect Scouting Report Florida Man Draft Class: S80 Position: RW Height: 6'1" Weight: 195 Place of Birth: Florida, USA Current team: Stockholm Vikings (VHLE) Drafted: 13th overall by Los Angeles Stars Entering his first VHLM season, Florida Man showed promise with 7 goals and 12 points in 19 games playing for Miami. He was later selected 24th overall by Mississauga, spending the entire season with the team. Due to an abundance of depth, Man was pushed down to the fourth line, resulting in a less impressive 14 goals and 29 points in 72 games. The Hounds went on to make a Founder's Cup Finals appearance, but fell just short. Man only contributed 1 goal and 5 points throughout the postseason. Over the offseason, he participated in the World Juniors Hockey Championship. Playing for Team World, he showed off his ability to put the puck in the net with 5 goals in 8 round robin games. Although he was held scoreless in the medal round, they ultimately won the tournament. Strengths Shooting: Man has a shoot first mentality. Despite playing a limited role basically everywhere he went, he did he best to make it count. Even though he hasn't necessarily found an elite shooting efficiency, he forces the goalies to make a lot of saves. And everybody knows good things happen when you put the puck on the net. Along with that, he has the ability to shoot from just about anywhere with or without pressure. Now that he has the highest level of professional coaching available, I expect his shot to improve tremendously. Puck magnet: he may not be the best skater or the most reliable in his own end, but he seems to have a nose for the puck. It shouldn't come as a surprise that he is able to accumulate so many shot attempts. He's one of those players that the puck just finds. He knows where to be and what to do when the puck comes his way. Look for him to build upon that as he becomes more comfortable with higher level competition. Weaknesses Defense: you could argue his deficiency is due to a lack of focus on his defensive game, but that's not going to cut it when he makes the jump to the big leagues. If Man can find a way to be at least somewhat competent in his own end, his ability to score goals should balance that out. Sure, wingers don't necessarily need to be the most reliable in their own end, but it's a necessity at the highest level. Expect him to spend a lot of time over the offseason and with Stockholm training staff during the upcoming season to correct any problems that exist before he eventually graduates to the VHL. Skating: Man doesn't struggle to shoot in tight coverage, but he could benefit from developing his edgework and explosiveness to make space for himself to shoot from better angles. He'll need to put in a lot of work to make sure he's able to keep up with the pace of the VHL. With the draft behind us and training camp underway, Florida Man will be on a mission to impress Stars management by dominating the VHLE. Clearly there is much to work on. Only time will tell if he is up to the task.
  9. 1. What are your goals for the season? I honestly don't have a sweet clue how the VHLE scoring is gonna look. Just hope to contribute and have a chance to win the whole thing. 2. Who is going to be our toughest competition? Malmo, Moscow and Prague look the best at the moment, but anything can happen with the lack of high end goalies this season. 3. What were the biggest offseason moves? Seattle got rid of every player over 600 TPA. So it looks like they're going to miss the playoffs for the first time since I can remember. 4. Do you workout and train during the offseason? Or do you relax and enjoy the vacation? Nothing like drinking a ton of beer to prep for the upcoming season. 5. Chocolate or other sweets? I don't usually mind, but I'd say chocolate is superior. 6. What is your favorite kind of bread?

    1000

On March 27, 2019 I made my first VHL player. 910 days later, I've finally reached my 1000th post on the forum. For me, the post itself isn't that important. It's all about the friendships, memories and lessons I've learned along the way. I find it hard not to think about what I could've done better when looking at the careers of my players, but it's all apart of my growth as a member of this community. It needed to happen in order for me to be in the place I am today. I've been lucky enough to win at every level. Whether it's the S66 Reapers squad managed by Blade, S72 WC/S79 WJC with Team World, or any of the three Bears teams I won with. It's been a pleasure to play a part in all of that success. I'm not sure who got this idea into my head, but awards really don't mean anything to me. Seeing my teammates succeed puts a smile on my face. And in the end it all paid off anyway. I've taken the time to focus on the positives and negatives of my previous players. Knowing what I now know, I'm excited to continue what I hope turns out to be a fun, successful experience as I try to make Florida Man the best thing since sliced bread. Here's to the next 1000 memories.
  13. 1. What does your player do during the offseason? Beer, babes and beaches. That's all that matters. 2. Arvid Johansson is off to the VHLE, how did he contribute to LA's success last season? I wasn't around, but he chipped in on offense every now and then along with pretty good defensive numbers. That's solid from a depth defenseman. 3. How would your player react to being in a veteran role on a new VHLE team, like Johannsson will? It would be a bummer after spending a full season in the show. I know he was traded, but Moscow looks pretty good as well. He's missing out on a chance at a playoff run. 4. We're training a robot to create VHL drama threads and need some thread names to feed it. Please help. Bek retires as VHL Commish (EMOTIONAL) Several VHL elite suspended after many multis are discovered (JUICY) Seattle Bears GM position opening (BANA DONE FOR GOOD?!) All forms of welfare decreased by 1 TPE (THE END OF CLICKERS???) Tom Brady is taking his talent to the VHL (TB12 TAKEOVER?) 5. Which player is your dream teammate? A Florida man needs his Florida woman. 6. What other languages do you want to know/are interested in? Sign language would be cool to learn. You could technically communicate with anybody using it. Unless they don't have hands. That would be difficult.
  14. Ferken rights buddy you're up in the rafters now
  15. Taking a break was the best thing I did. I only truly took a break for one season, but the time off was much more refreshing than I had initially thought. It's like any other video game, sport, job, etc. You're almost guaranteed to burn out no matter how much you love to do it. At the end of the day you should do what's best for you. No shame in that.
  16. The long awaited S80 VHL Draft has finally come and gone. Helsinki kicked it off by drafting goaler Xavier Booberry first overall, but more importantly the Los Angeles Stars found themselves a potential top six winger for their future at thirteenth overall in Florida Man. While it's a little ironic that Florida Man will be taking his talents from the Atlantic to the Pacific, he admitted that the only two teams to contact him are on the west coast. It was also rumored that he intended to demand a trade if a team that had not spoken to him before the draft selected him, but LA prevented that from happening. It is concerning that the draft presentation team chose to use a picture of Tyler Myers when Man was selected. He threatened to "f***ing quit the league if they disrespect me like that again." I expect the Stars to take every precaution heading into S80 so that they can help Man avoid a mental breakdown. As of now, he intends to play in the VHLE. The draft will soon be upon us, and Man will suit up for his new team with hopes to make a strong impression on Stars management. That's all for now, but Florida Man is a nut job. He may be back in the spotlight sooner rather than later.
