    Hello VHL!
I'm going to be doing something I couldent find anyone else has done yet in VHL, but I have done myself in PBE and SHL.
And as you have read the title already you know how this goes. VHL Scrabble!
So I will be taking every teams players one by one to a scrabble score calculator and then after I'm done with the team I will calculate the total points, the average etc. So with out a further a do here we go!

    That concludes the calculating!
Now we can get on with the speculation and talking about the stats!
    So to recap
The Highest total points goes to New York Americans with 379, The Single highest point goes to WWWWWWWWWWWW WWWWWWWWWWWW with 96! (Absurd), and the least points goes to Mina with 6!
The highest average also goes to New York unsurprisingly! Now if we look at some other teams with high averages we can see that Davos with 31.5 is up there in second place! Although they only have 189 total points (the second least) their roster size makes up for that puts them firmly in 2nd place with average.
So what does this all mean, I can hear you ask. Well nothing to be honest, this is just something I thought would be funny to do and did it. I will be doing one for E and M combined later since this is already 1000 words long!
    See you then!

    1. My favorite name on the team would have to be Hercules Thunderclap. A solid name that I haven't seen before that also ties into hockey.

    2. I want to build a solid two way forward. If I had to pick a player to model myself after it would be Nick Foligno. (Just need to find my Connor Bedard).

    3. The new one is so much better. The old one reminds me of a stock logo you would find in a mobile game. The new one looks more modern and definitely looks betters overall.

    4. I enjoy doing any sort of writing. I've been having trouble fitting a 500-word article into my schedule, but I plan on doing those in the near future. I'm enjoying these press conferences and plan on answering all 6 questions every week.

    5. So far, Sammy only has one point, but I believe with some updates he can turn things around. I would say a bold prediction would be 35 points. I plan on upgrading passing a lot so definitely more assists.

    6. Please keep tagging me. Every little reminder to get these done is good. If I hated the pings I would just mute them
  6. Cheers

    1. I'd say our goalie has the best name on the team. Hugo Boss. It's intimidating and tough sounding. Final boss energy.

    2. I'm trying to build a shoot first player. Sort of like a sniper build and a finisher. Essentially a powerplay quarterback.

    3. Honestly both have their perks. The old one was more rigid and fierce. It was very flat though. It'd probably look great on a shoulder as an alternative logo.

The new is very defined and detailed. It doesn't have that fierce / intimidating factor though. I would say if it was showing teeth it would be better.

    4. Right now, it sucks that I have to hot the welfare button. Working full time in the office is really draining. Especially IT work. I hope to hit that creative juice again and earn all 12 again. For now, I'll do my best to earn as much as possible. I guess that's why I wasn't taken in the early rounds.

    5. I think the nature of sths it will always be assists first. The dream would be goals first. I think my player will settle into a 80 ~ 90 point season.

    6. I don't mind it. I like it as I usually check forum content so this will be a nice reminder to do it.

Sitting in his brand new apartment in the capital city of Nova Scotia, Canada, just days after being drafted sixth overall by the Halifax 21st, Andrew Skilton can’t get the start of the VHLM season out of his mind. Ever since he heard his name called he’s just wanted to throw on his gear and his brand-new jersey and hit the ice with his team. Having had a few conversations with his teammates, Skilton can tell that they feel the same way, but time travel isn’t possible yet and patience is in short supply these days. In the meantime, he waits. Watching film, training hard, and envisioning what it’s like to be in the blue and white across from his opponents.

Being his first season in a league different from anything he’s ever been in, Andrew wants to make an impression on the fanbase, GM, and his teammates. He went higher in the draft than he had ever expected and he wants to make sure nobody comes to regret it.

He wants to let the league know; he’s ready for any challenge they throw at him and the 21st. Bring it on!

    3. I'm very excited to get started. It's nice to be in the VHLM again.
    4. I think it'll be one of the higher-ranked people on the team. Or a returning vet.
    5. I'm a vet so I'm getting back in the swing of things. It's weird being in the VHLM again.

While this off-season seems incredibly long there has been some things going on to keep me interested.  Although, at least in the Vancouver locker room the team is hungry for the start of the upcoming season.  We’ve had the WJC, Pro-Am, and drafts lately which have been fun but still it sometimes is hard to write media spots during off-season but I will do my best.

    VHLM Draft

The VHLM draft started, and the Mississauga Hounds went with towering defenseman, Erik Thorvaldsson @Tetricide.   Erik is big, nasty, and has skills so it should be fun to see what he can do on a re-tooling Hounds team.

    Other draft notables:
#2- Pierre Marc Bouchard  @Gaikoku-hito– Halifax-  a solid and speedy center who in his quick time in Saskatoon showed he could score against VHLM talent and shoots the puck early and often.  Solid pickup for the 21s.

#3- Lazlo Holmes @Gustav - Saskatoon- A defenseman who can dangle and score he averaged over a point per game with Halifax in his quick stint there.  Joins a powerful rookie defensive core in SSK that looks to shut down the league.

#4-Jillian Woods @jacobcarson877-Ottawa- small and quick, this is well rounded defensive player that can do it all.  Joins a talented Ottawa club that looks ready to challenge for a cup.

#5-Oliver Loo @Misty- a first gen forward and Calgary prospect looking to make a mark in Saskatoon.  A capped TPE member that should start the season hot.

    RIP WHEELER TRADED!
Now for several seasons I have begged Calgary to trade my buddy and nemesis, Rip Wheeler @ScottyP for a used puck bag, a bus pass, or toilet paper.  Something commensurate with his skill level.   Now, my player finally made to the VHL and I was poised to be in the same division and heated rivalry with Calgary when he told me he was being traded.  Part of me thinks he wanted to be traded to avoid Ninefingers but I know that isn’t true.

Rip Wheeler and all-star defenseman Skor McFleury @AlexAlex were shipped to Prague where they join some really good players in John Jameson @Frank, Nikolas Kauppi @Tetricide, and goalie Matt Murdock @Acydburn.  Overall, I think it was good for Rip.  He was a very loyal teammate in Calgary and loved his time there but hopefully the new scenery in Europe will light a fire under him.   Best of luck Rip

    S94 Draft
Just looking at the pool of prospects in the VHLM I noticed that the S94 draft is very balanced and full of huge earners.  I was surprised that in the top 20 of TPE currently there is only one goalie, Soju @Frank.  There are some really talented defensive players in the top 10 as well like Jillian Woods @jacobcarson877, Felicia Hardy @JCarson, Lazlo Homes @Gustav , and Bollos de Trueno @Thunder so curious if the first overall pick will be a defensive player next year.  Defensive players Yaboi Oven @Doomsday was #1 in S90 draft, Callum Gary Yannick Janser @Daniel Janser was #1 in S91, and Mark Calaway @Beketov was #1 in S88 showing its pretty wise to take a high earning defensive player first.

At forward we have Maverick Goncalves @leandrofg who definitely knows how to make a player that scores, The Phantom of the VHL @Hogan, Pombo @samx,  Maple Dogwood @dogwoodmaple, and Wally Lose @youloser1337.

All could be a force at the first overall pick but only time will tell.

@Will @Josh Is this something of interest? Adding a Last Update section like Draft Player Lists with a sorting filter I think would help GMs see who is active a lot easier when it comes to Free Agents/Waivers and also help to filter out the IA players to retire. Let me know your thoughts.
