The issue is VSN make better picks in their mock draft than M GMs do in the actual draft. Rolf 20th overall a draft steal to rival Tom Brady!! I weep for the clueless M GMs !!!

Rolf has been participating in some off-season tournaments, the Junior Showcase and the ProAm. Overall, it is going very well. At the JST, he has racked up 23 points in 30 games for the Steel, was 10th for round-robin scoring, and is now on to the finals of the playoffs with his team, where he has been playing at a respectable level. At the Pro-Am, he was drafted by the Foxes. The level is much higher than the JST, and Rolf is obviously struggling to produce for his team. However, he is top 4 in +/- along with 3 of his teammates who have come together to form a very effective unit. The ProAm is a great place to hone in on some skills and have a good time with some legends of the game. He has played against his uncle (who is retired) in many games, and the two haven't been afraid to go at each other on the ice. As Rolf farms TPE with fun little VHL.com articles he looks to his production and practice at the JST and ProAm as a hopeful sign of good things to come in the VHLM season.

It finally happened. Rolf was sitting on the back deck of his family home near Malmo when his good friend Barry Davis notified him that his beautiful 2007 Toyota Matrix had been sold. Rolf got the beater of a car when he first moved to Philadelphia to play with the Reapers in the VHLM. He signed an automotive sponsorship with some guy he found on Facebook Marketplace, Barry Davis. Davis flips used cars and got Rolf his Matrix in exchange for a few sponsored posts about his little hustle. When the Reapers were eliminated from the playoffs, Rolf headed home to Sweden to train with his uncle. Rolf is unlikely to return to Philadelphia given the upcoming dispersal draft projections, so he made the difficult decision to sell the beautiful baby that he had only owned for a few weeks. Davis acted on his behalf and found a new owner while Rolf trained in Malmo. As Rolf awaits the dispersal draft, he has been up late browsing Marketplace in some of the cities he is projected to go to. If he ends up in Saskatoon, the second-hand market will be rough, especially given the damage on some of those cars from the harsh winters. If his biggest concern is the used car market, his best option may be to end up in Las Vegas or Miami. Barry Davis has a few cousins there who can find him a great deal. IBefore I begin, I wanted to say, yes, I believe the title, yes, I am biased, yes, I eat breakfast every day, and yes, I am handsome. The Tzesar Report The Season 99 VHL draft is right around the corner and GMs have a little storm to navigate before the apocalyptic Season 100 draft. The most interesting point of this draft is the three defenders who stand clumped together as the clear top three prospects here. It will be fun to see this situation unfold as teams set themselves up for the Season 100 draft extravaganza and beyond. But I am not here to speculate on the future. I am here to examine Krister Von Casar Tzesar, take a peek at his build, and back up my belief that he is the best prospect in this draft. Here we go, professional hype-man RJ is coming with some pre-draft propaganda. The Build @Komrad has been clear with his intentions from the start. He wants a heavy-hitting, defensive defender who will be the most physically dominant presence on the ice. So far, he has done precisely that. Krister is a 6-foot-8, 240 lb. skater whose current ratings back up the desired direction. His scoring and passing are low: 47 scoring and 44 passing. His skating is sitting at a solid 62, and his puck handling is the same. His defence is far above everything else, at 76, and his checking is at 58. Although Tzesar is very physical, his checking was actually slowed down so as not to rack up as many penalty minutes. Outputting as many hits as possible without the disciplinary infractions that often come with that. I am going to contradict myself because Komrad was clear when he started his player that he wanted a very hit-first, ask questions later type of skater. However, there has been a bit of an evolution in the latter half of the M season and the M playoffs (as well as the JST), which Tzesar has morphed into this big offensive threat, likely stemming from his high defensive rating and skating rating, which is significantly higher than his passing and scoring. The stats back up this evolution, and if this is the course that Komrad elects to stay with Tzesar, it could make for a very fascinating career, which should be watched closely. This brand of two-way defender has the potential to be incredibly impactful. Let's see how the stats have backed up this evolution. The Stats The VHLM regular season saw Tzesar finish with decent numbers, but nothing amazing, in all honesty. He finished 10th in hits (2.46 per game), yet he was 5th for PIMs (1.61 per game). He had the 5th highest +/- but some of his Philly linemates contributed in no small part to this. His shots blocked were okay, with 91. Again, his numbers were decent, but there was more to be desired, especially from a defensively-minded player with 47 points (10g 37a). Something changed in the playoffs; his hits and penalty minutes were only down slightly (2.33 per game and 1.5 per game, respectively). But Tzesar ended the playoffs in 2nd place in total assists, with the highest assist per game tally at 1.0 per. Tzesar was one of only two players to end the playoffs above a PPG with 1g 12a in 12 games. If Philly had made the finals, Tzesar could have been the top scorer in many categories. All of this came with only slight decreases in his hits and an increase in shots blocked. The offensive consistency has continued into the Junior Showcase Tournament, where Tzesar has 34 points in 30 games, leading in assists. He is leading in hits at 132 (20 higher than 2nd) and shots blocked at 104 (12 higher than 2nd). Although the JST is a much different competition, his offensive stats sit pretty dead equal with the likes of Titus Cunningham, Additional Pylons, Chase Breeze and David David, while his physical/defensive stats are running away from the rest. The Verdict Look, the defenders in the Season 99 draft are all going to be great players for wherever they end up. I just had to point out that, in my humble opinion (it is a very humble opinion), Tzesar has the most exciting/interesting build in the draft. He is much more than just a shutdown guy, and if he is paired with the right partner (perhaps a very high-scoring threat in the Season 100 draft), Tzesar could come out as a VHL legend with an excellent two-way build. On top of all of this, glaze and words which have worked out to be me pushing my good buddy Komrad to be selected first overall... Komrad is genuinely a great person in the locker room. This is not to detract from the other members, who I have no doubt will be fun in any locker room they end up in, but I spent 7 seasons with Komrad in Malmo and it was a blast. His earnings have clearly been consistent, and he has challenged himself to be the highest earner in the draft, with Titus hot on his tail, giving him the competition/drive to do so. At the end of the day, what you value in a player is not up to me. However, what I value in a player is exactly what Krister Von Casar Tzesar brings to the table, with the added bonus of being a solid defensive defenseman with the clear potential to be a major offensive threat. I wanted to make the case that his build is beyond the surface-level, rock-em-sock-em style, and it could be a very fun archetype to build a team's future off of. Tzesar should hold the number one spot on your draft board. High skating + high defence is the future, probably the past as well. Simon has been around far too long. Epilogue This has been fun to write. It is enjoyable to write about guys I have interacted with a lot since I have an inside scoop on them. I've got a jar of dirt! Honestly, it's not the cleanest render ever, but it fits surprisingly well with the pirate ship background. Very funny idea for the captain. Jersey swap is well done, especially in contrast to that sword , but you got the sword into his hand and it fits pretty naturally as well. The hat and eyepatch are a great touch, the cut and application of them are super clean. Great job overall, I love the creativity. It's nice to see graphics like this, and it was solidly executed. I'd rate this a Curse of the Black Pearl out of 10!

After a harrowing loss to Halifax in the VHLM playoffs, and a disappointing performance from Rolf Jakub MacWallace to boot, he has returned to his family home in Malmo. With his offseason beginning early, Rolf has elected not to stay in Philadelphia. The VHLM draft is upcoming, and the young defenseman's future is uncertain. Since he signed with Philadelphia on waivers, he is eligible to be selected in the dispersal draft and is expected to go in the first round (no jinx, please no jinx). Rolf has started his offseason training with his uncle, Ronald MacWallace III, who has been critical to his hockey career thus far. We were able to reach Rolf for a brief statement on his intentions before the draft. Just always looking to improve, of course. I'm glad to be home, and working with my uncle is incredibly helpful. He went through the same VHLM gauntlet I'm going through now, so he has great insight. I'll be ready to go for next season, I think I can take a huge step up in the coming weeks. If you've ever been on vacation to a very hot country during a very cold Canadian winter, do you know that feeling when you step off the plane for the first time and get hit by that humidity and heat? Well, that's exactly what we have here. Some absolute, smack you in the face, heat. The orange background goes suprisingly well with the red jersey, the sunset vibe suits it. The player renders on top of each other is very well done; it's not overly busy at all. Jersey swap is well done, although seeing the M logo on a Habs jersey is not my personal choice . I like that the text is subtle but still noticeable, although the last name gets a bit lost on a first look. I give it 5 big booms.

The Philadelphia Reapers are out of the playoffs. It was a tough loss. How are you feeling? I won’t sugarcoat anything; that’s not who I am. I played well below the level I know I can, but I don’t even have a full season under my belt. I’m just getting started. This is something I can take a lot from. Losing is a necessary step on the journey to improvement… or something, I don’t know someone said that to me before, I think. Krister had a great playoff run, ending with 1 goal and 12 assists in 12 games. You’ve been pretty outspoken about your disapproval of him before. Has anything changed? Listen… This idiot is starting to grow on me. I still think he’s the dumbest player alive, but he showed out in this series. Man, its a tough loss for sure but more than anything I’m pissed because Krister played levels above me. This is the first and last time that has happened. Honestly, I like to think my comments about his style of play motivated him to take that step offensively. That guy won’t listen to anything you tell him unless you insult him. How is it navigating the locker room with such a public feud? People have been looking at this feud as one of the reasons the Reapers lost. Are you both capable of putting it to the side? Look, we might not like each other, but that has never affected the team chemistry or anything like that. If anything, it makes us play better. Got it? And… Hey, I’m done talking about him. Any idea where you might end up? Aah, the draft? Yeah, I’ve had a few conversations with management from a few different teams. Like I told them, I’m happy to play wherever, and if they pick me in the draft, I’ll make sure they don’t regret it. Strong words. Looking ahead to the future, how long do you see yourself playing in the M? And for the Season 100 draft, how are things standing right now? Would you like to play for Malmo? I’ll play in the M for as long as it takes. I won't take that next step until I feel ready. As for the draft, of course I have close ties to Malmo, and if they want to draft me, I’ll be more than happy to play for them. But I also want to carve out my own legacy. It's crazy how even student politics can get like this. People care so much about the wrong things and want positions just for sake of saying they have them. My university had a bunch of random student government drama the past 2 years, it sucks.

Advantage, oh, Advantage, what a wonderful piece you have written here. It seems I am short 1 capped TPE, so I am going to review your piece in the most serious of tones. The formatting is great for a re-draft piece, I love the subheadings and organization of the stats. One small thing you could do with the formatting is just space each player out a bit more after the end of the paragraphs, this might just be a me thing though, my ADHD ass wants to pair the paragraph with the player name right below it. I appreciate that you added extra context to the stats, like with Palo, talking about his slow start and high highs. I don't know how many of these you plan on doing, if any more? But I would love to see you drop an inflammatory paragraph about a completely random player every now and then, I think that unnecessarily doing this is great for engagement and is peak journalism (I'm like 99% joking here, it would be great content). Anyways, I would love to see more of these, maybe a Season 67 draft featuring the legendary RJ Lloris. Great job overall! It was a good read.
