  1. Playoff MVP The playoff MVP this season was almost unanimous, and for good reason. Although our runner up had a slightly better save percentage over the course of the playoffs, when two goalies go head to head in a seven game series and one comes out on top, you know that they are going to be favorites for MVP. Saving an incredible 93.4% of the 442 shots they faced, this goaltender most importantly endured going 3 games down in the series, before rallying their team to a 4 game streak to come out victorious. The mental fortitude to keep calm in the tight moments of games cannot be understated. Congratulations, with 7 votes, to Boris Tsezar, your Playoff MVP of Season 82! @comrade cat Runner Up: Anime Protagonist (1) Next up, Regular Season MVP!
  2. Top Goaltender The title of best goaltender is always difficult to award, as a goaltender’s performance is so dependent on their team functioning together as a defensive unit. That’s what makes it so much more impressive when a goalie can elevate their performance above, and keep a team’s record respectable despite other troubles. That’s just what our winner did by the barest of margins, helping keep their team’s goals allowed to just 243; effectively equal to 2 of the top 4 teams, and lower than both the teams immediately above them in the standings. They did this all while managing a league leading .922 save percentage. Congratulations, with 4 votes, to Bubbles Utonium, your Top Goaltender of Season 82! @fishy Runners Up: Anime Protagonist (3), Orion D H Chiester IX (1) Next up, Playoff MVP!
  3. Top Two-Way Forward A bruiser, a grinder, a player who packs a punch on both ends of the ice, the top two-way forward is always an intimidating presence. This season was no exception, as I’m pretty sure they picked up a couple of assault charges over the course of their record-setting 450 hits. As an offensive presence they were no slouch, scoring 70 points, as they maintained a respectable +14 on the season showcasing their talent. Congratulations, with 6 votes, to Aldwin Craig, your Top Two-Way Forward of Season 82! @Eldredman Runner Up: Mason Jones (2) Next up, Top Goaltender!
  4. Top Defenseman Our first voted award of the night is for best defenseman during the regular season. This season we had a clear winner. Scoring 91 points, 5 more than the next closest defenseman, this player was a blue-line beast. With not only fantastic playmaking ability but a nice eye for goal, they did it all on the offensive end. Congratulations, with 6 votes to Artair McCloud, your Top Defenseman of Season 82! @Hoopydog Runners Up: Bo Johansson (1), Zeljko Ranogajec (1) Next up, Top Two-Way Forward!
  5. Hello one and all, and welcome to the Season 82 VHLE Awards! This postseason failed to disappoint, despite a relatively tame semifinals, culminating with an all-time classic series between Rome and Cologne in the finals that stretched to its full seven game potential, complete with a reverse-sweep for the victorious Rome Gladiators in thrilling fashion. Let’s dive into the awards, some statistical, some being voted upon by the VHLE GMs. First up, the statistical awards. Renaissance Cup Rome Gladiators Making their way to the cup finals for the third time in a row after first dispatching Bratislava in five games, the Rome Gladiators have been ever present since the VHLE’s inaugural season. Congratulations to the team as well as GM @InstantRockstar on winning the franchise’s first cup! We are looking forward to seeing if @Baby Boomer can continue your tradition of making the finals next season. Top Regular Season Team Cologne Express Unfortunately falling short in the finals, the Express put together a fantastic squad, earning the best regular season record in the VHLE with a 48-17-7 record, good for 103 points. Congratulations to GM @BarzalGoat for building such a competitive roster, and to the players for their performances. Leader in Goals Ronan Lavelle, Geneva Rush 49 goals @Arce Leader in Assists Zeljko Ranogajec, Cologne Express 79 assists @ColeMrtz Leader in Points Ronan Lavelle, Geneva Rush 101 points @Arce Lowest GAA Orion D H Chiester IX, Bratislava Watchmen 2.92 GAA @Donno100 With the statistical awards out of the way, let's move on to the awards voted on by the VHLE General Managers... First up, Top Defenseman!
  6. 1) Top quality user that can build a solid player, looking forward to it! 2) I think they have all the possibility to be a steal. 3) He just needs to keep grinding and he can always make his way up to the pros. 4) As a European player, I have to vote against USA, sorry 5) one big ol pizza baby. 6) probably Arrakkis. The spice must flow
  7. Always down to be a group manager
  8. 1) Going to be really interesting to see some builds with the new attributes! 2) World Cup baby! Lets go Western Europe 3) I'm excited to get started; I think we can bring a lot of heat to this squad. 4) Honestly I'm not sure, haven't been following prospects toooooo much. 5) I've set out a preliminary build, and might add to it; depends on how depreciation will effect me. 6) I think it won't be that hard to judge builds, but how they interact with the rest of the team/the league? Much harder.
  9. Let's get it! Excited to be leading the line here, I think we have a good shot at the gold

one final time.... MOSCOW MOSCOW MOSCOW Take care Menace. Hello Legion!
  11. GG Vancouver, and congrats on joining lofty company with your three-peat! At the end of the day, Van did nothing wrong and everyone has to respect that; doesn't mean you have to like it but that's life haha. For what its worth, I'm proud of the Moscow team that we put forth over the past few seasons here; its been a great ride and getting to the Continental Cup Finals three seasons in a row is no joke, no matter the outcome Well played all, and may next season treat your builds kindly
  12. MOSCOW MOSCOW MOSCOW thank you for the stellar write up
  13. Presser for 3/13 1) Now that the season is over for us, how did it fit your expectations going in? 2) Are you expecting any big Free Agency movement this offseason? 3) Do you think its easier to build teams in the draft or via Free Agency? 4) What is your favorite kind of bread? 5) Do you like to celebrate St. Patrick's Day? 6) Do you prefer to make your own sigs, or have others make them for you?
  14. @Spartan according to top users, my final score is different; which is correct? If the top users thread is, then I should be swapped in this one
  15. trash guest smh
  16. Presser for 3/6 1) What are your thoughts on the new attribute updates intended to fix the "meta" problem? 2) Do you know what you want to do with your build now? 3) Who do you think is going to win the Continental Cup this season? 4) As a VHL player, do you follow the VHLM or VHLE? 5) What do you think the hardest job in the league is? 6) Tell me what your first impressions of the league were when you first joined?
  17. Honestly, brilliant idea. I feel like it adds a LOT of flavor to player building, and gives us some easy knobs to tweak to spice up the meta should exploits be found/things get stale. Obviously things could not work out in theory, but it seems a great step that adds to the league without purely taking things away. Great work all involved!
  18. Presser for 2/27 1) We are sitting 6 points back off a playoff spot with around 20 games to go. What do you think our chances are of getting there? 2) Do you think we have been playing to our potential? 3) What position would you like to strengthen this offseason? 4) What Helsinki prospect are you most excited about joining the team? 5) What is your favorite media franchise? (Book, movie, whatever) 6) In your opinion, what is the worst stat in STHS?
  19. PAUL BUST
  20. Presser for 2/13 1) How do you feel about our stsrt to the season thus far? 2) Do you enjoy Valentine's Day? Have any fun plans? 3) What is your favorite VHL memory? 4) Would you rather have a 75% faceoff record or lead the league in hits (if you were a center) 5) What is your favorite icebreaker when meeting someone for the first time? 6) What is your ideal real world first line?
  21. We need to get Jeff back on Muradin
  22. SUBSARE SANDWICHES
  23. something something sorry it's been like a month something something ANYWAY back to pressers! Presser for week ending on 2/6 1) With a big trade to finish off off the offseason, we look to secure a big player in @Spartan moving forward. Thoughts on the move? 2) The season has started now, what are your predictions for where we will finish? 3) VSN has us at 5th in Europe, do you think that is a fair assessment by our own @Alex? 4) As a player, what is your personal goal for this season? 5) Speaking of the season starting, we haven't gotten off to the best start. Why is it just a temporary setback, or should we be more concerned? 6) Is a hot dog a sandwich? There is only one right answer.
  24. Sleep soundly, knowing I've done the right thing
