  1. A massive feat that every goalie dreams of reaching in the VHL! Congratz dude!!
  2. This was an excellent read!! Fantastic work with this playoff preview @LucyXpher! Give ‘em hell in the playoffs! Go Bulls!!
  3. Aww thanks dude! I appreciate you taking the time to listen to my ramblings bro!!
  4. Thanks bro I appreciate you for not letting me give up
  5. Thank you so much! I always appreciate having your support~ and I’m also rooting for your player too my friend!
  6. Oh dude I agree with you our team definitely has many superstars and Viktor Jensen is most certainly 1 of our brightest!
  7. To follow suit with many of my other teammates, this Media Spot is almost exactly as advertised in the title. The only change now, is that we have not only clinched the victory cup, but we have in fact- secured it. In a historic run, almost surpassing the Nighthawks’ former best season record, the top team in the VHL would land 1 win shy in their attempt to break the old record of a 53 win season. As unfortunate as that is, the Malmo Nighthawks still finished off the season 1st overall in the VHL with a 52-14-6 record, accounting for 110 points (12 points ahead of the next 3 teams who all tied with 98) which made them the only team this season to break the 100 point barrier. 1 of the top stories coming out of the Nighthawks amazing season, is a lesser looked at detail that many across the league failed to notice. Assistant Captain Viktor Jensen (Center, #12) finished the season with 35 goals and 55 assists for a team leading 90 points. This is a 10 goal and 5 assist jump from his previous season- making it the best season so far for “one-two” in his career. These are not the biggest story that is being taken away from his best season to date, although it is certainly impressive, because he actually finished the season with an incredible 0 PIMs! Absolutely mind boggling and he certainly deserves all of the hype and praise surrounding him for achieving such a phenomenal feat! Another top story is surrounding the team performance- more specifically how 6 out of 10 players on the Nighthawks’ roster finished over a point per game. The other teams around the league have some “superstar” talent but their depth really didn’t show up as much in comparison. Some teams are noticeably nervous at the fact that the Nighthawks seem to be the most complete team throughout their whole lineup as we head into the playoffs, and rightfully so. Another highlight this season is that Captain Ash Sparks (Goalie, #39) was fired up and played lights out this season. He managed an incredible 0.930 save%(4th), along with a 2.23 GAA(2nd), and 5 shutouts (tied 2nd) in his 64 games played. This also earned him the best winning record among goalies this season (46-13-5) and was never chased out of the crease once. This was a fantastic showing by the Nighthawks’ star goaltender, but his fierce personality and hot takes throughout the course of the season most likely haven’t won him favors. While the fans, players, and management for the Nighthawks seem to love their Captain- it’s fair to say that the rest of the league doesn’t feel the same way. League biases against Malmo and their controversial goalie/captain aside, nobody can dispute that he was a top 3 goaltender this season- along side the fact that more than half the team finished the season over a PPG. Another spicy fact seems to be surround a long term sponsorship deal between the Malmo Nighthawks and Taco Bell. Apparently there will be a new special combo available in a Taco Bell near you for a limited time, called the “Soaring to Victory” combo deal (1 Victory Cup cup included per combo)! Where you and your family can dine on 6 tacos, all loaded with an “over point per game” premium style blend of sauces and our limited time Volcanic Ash taco shells! Guaranteed to steal the show while you watch your Nighthawks soar towards the Continental Cup! (590 words)

  9. Game Recap: Game 254 - DC Dragons vs London United A low scoring contest between these 2 teams may seem uneventful at first glance, but there were a few notable highlights when we take a deeper dive into the action. Only 3:36 into the 1st period and the first of many penalties would come, this one being a 2 minute minor to Leonard Triller (LDN) for Goalie Interference. Fortunately for the United, they stand firm and kill off this penalty. Half way through the 1st, Vincent Laroche-Gagnier (DCD) would head to the box for Holding, but the D.C. Dragons penalty killers would fight this 1 off like London did theirs. Despite this kill, 2 minutes after the penalty expired, a series of chances first spawned from a shot by Halvar Torbjorn that would hit the post. The rebound was then shot by Halvar Torbjorn less than 2 seconds later, which would go narrowly wide of the net on the short-side.. only for the pick the bounce right back out into the slot onto Sjin’d stick. No mistakes here- Sjin opens the scoring for London with his 15th of the season, assisted by Halvar Torbjorn for his 21st assist on season. London heads to the dressing from for the 1st intermission leading in shots, 13-9, in a very close game. The 2nd period is where DC decided to dominate the United, taking advantage of a 5-on-3 power play given to them early in the period. Lloyd Braun (LDN) would get the gate for Tripping at 0:55 and 4 seconds later, Scoish Velociraptor Maloish (LND) would join him for Roughing. Mark Calaway would tie up the game scoring his 13th of the season on the ensuing power play for the Dragons, assisted by The Frenchman who would get his 34th assist this season! 16:32 of 2nd period Jason (DCD) would get a senseless call for Interference. Good thing the Dragons were playing red hot this period, and Lucas Grey would end up scoring a short handed goal anyways which would go on to be the game winner! This marked his 17th goal on the season, assisted by Mark Calaway (getting his 21st assist) and Ben Laas (getting their 18th assist). The game resulted in a total of 36 shots to 25 in favour of D.C. who was also able to kill off both of their penalties, while London failed to stay out of the box as often and when they went down on a 5-on-3 it sealed their fate for the rest of the game. The 3 Stars of the Game were: Sjin (LDN) taking the 3rd star, having the like goal for London; the 2nd star was Henry Tucker Jr (DCD) who had a wonderful performance in net, stopping 24/25 shots (0.960 save%) gaining his 18th win; and 1st star of the game being Mark Calaway (DCD) who scored the game tying goal and assisted on the short-handed game winning goal. Final Score: 2 - 1 for the D.C. Dragons.
  10. Love how these went from calling Sparks a second tier goalie- to not being able to even acknowledge he’s playing great this season Also how tf did you have the fewest words for the first place team in the EU?? I guess I shouldn’t complain too much cuz at least you didn’t triple down on saying the Nighthawks are mid for once Gripes aside (and don’t take them seriously it’s just a sim league lol)- I do enjoy reading your takes each week even if/when I don’t always agree with all of them, keep up the great work @Gaikoku-hito!!
  11. thanks bro!! yesssss and our deal still stands- each blocked shot is 1 taco from the bell lmao
  12. It doesn’t seem like much- but these actually took a fair amount of time make and to get the everyone on the team to pick their jersey numbers. That being said; I’m proud to present (and show off) the line-ups our S92 Malmo Nighthawks have been running so far! Home Away Thank you again to everyone on the team for taking a moment to get involved with this~ you’re all amazing and keep making this season a special 1 to remember!! GO NIGHTHAWKS!!!️
  13. My guy @Pifferfish is out here tearing it up this season!! Fantastic job with this article like always @LucyXpher!! Always love to see coverage like this that shout out players/ member in the M! Great read, and very well written
  14. Mannn I totally agree!! Playing on the same team was such a blast!! It woulda been sweet to be on either the Nighthawks or Stars together for sure- but we are both still killing it this season! I also remember having you on for a podcast which was also really fun! I’d definitely be up for another 1 of those any time in the future if you’re down
  15. Thanks bro! Couldn’t have done it without such an incredible team playing in-front of me for the past 200+ games
  16. Right!? I had no idea until the day we played that game and stumbled upon it by pure chance- otherwise I would have totally missed it!
  17. Last week I wanted to reveal what the Malmo Nighthawks jerseys for S92 are- but in doing so I failed to write about a small milestone that my goalie, Ash Sparks, achieved last week on January 16th. The 15th game for the Malmo Nighthawks S92 campaign was not only a great game vs the Helsinki Titans, it would also be a once-in-a-lifetime moment for all in attendance and for a certain member of the Nighthawks franchise. In an incredibly tight battle where the Nighthawks would claim a 2-1 victory over the Titans, Nighthawks goaltender Ash Sparks stood tall and saved 24/25 shots (0.960 save%) to earn his 8th win (8-3-2) in his 13th appearance of the season for the Nighthawks. Entering into this game, he played 199 regular season games as the Nighthawks starting netminder and had 99 wins in that span. This Victory would give him his 100th win after his 200th game as a Malmo Nighthawk- making him the 5th goalie to ever reach this milestone for the Nighthawks, and the fastest to ever do so. At the time of writing this article; Ash Sparks currently holds a 102-76-25 career record with the Malmo Nighthawks since being traded over from the Seattle Bears in S89. His regular season career so far has been impressive- boasting a 0.926 save%, and 15 shutouts puts him 2nd all-time in Nighthawks history for both at the current moment, and his 2.47 GAA is #1 all-time in franchise history! -VSN’s S92 VHL season preview I personally am very excited to see how this “second tier goaltender” finishes off the season as he is currently riding career highs with a 0.932 save%, and a 2.19 GAA after playing 1/3 of the season so far. -️ (293 words)
  18. You’re so kind! I can definitely make you some but if you’d like to have fun and try making a few designs too, I can send some links to the apps I used
  19. I love the concepts that @Zetterberg did for everyone’s team jerseys in the VHL- so much so that I decided to take a bit of inspiration from him and come up with the official S92 Malmo Nighthawks jerseys (including versions for the alternates)! Home Jersey Away Jersey Alternate “Blackout” Home Jersey Alternate “Whiteout” Away Jersey GO NIGHTHAWKS!! ️
