  3. Hey Everyone! I have taken all of your advice and finished this post so I wanted to say thank you and I hope I did alright!
  4. 1. It's going to be close so I can't say who will win but I wish them all good luck! 3. Training and Focus 4. There have been a lot of strong players that gave me a hard time in net on the Top Lines. 5. Better awareness of who is in front of me for both teams, everyone has different tendencies that I want to figure out. 6. I don't quit on rebounds and I stand tall to shut down threatening chances. 7. We had a good group of guys but the chemistry was still fairly new. 8. Off ice: Neck, shoulder, legs, core, and groin stretches. On ice: I do the butterfly slides left to right or right to left and then the splits all by the bench, and then props the back up Goalie and scratch up my crease and take some shots for warmies. 9. Decimate the Weak - Winds of Plague 10. I want a team full of players that also want to win Championships.
  5. Thanks! About to edit it and add a bit more.
  6. 1. Off season training, then the draft! 2. I feel that our team could have done better game by game but I do believe the locker room is getting better. 3. Individually we all had a rough season, but we need more shots on other teams. Getting out shot every game is something the players need to take control of for next season or it will be difficult to see any traction. 4. Nope, aside from our GM I seem to be flying under the radar. 5. I guess writing even though I suck at both. I wish I could do graphics. 6. I use them both but I talk more on discord.
  7. 1. I feel I could have done better than last place in the GAA department but I am happy with the save % and look to improve both. 2. I feel our roster was disappointed with last seasons performance and it will serve as good fuel to improve for the next. 3. I like them all! Very unique and different branding and I like that every team isn't like the others. 4. Lo mein noodles. 5. If I got drafted in the VHL it would probably be in the later rounds like Round 5+. 6. MMA 7. Anywhere close to home near Toronto. If not then somewhere that can provide with a great opportunity for improvement. 8. Not unless I was given a reason to reject them do to conflict of interest. 9. I like both of the new team logos a lot! 10. Whoever wants it more.
  8. Jimmy Spyro Introduction The story of Jimmy Spyro is one of late blooming goaltender who was once a player until the age of 17. Growing up in a small town near the Greater Toronto Area, young Jimmy first laced up pair of skates at the age of 3. By the age of 5 he started playing pond hockey with his neighbours and became a fairly exceptional skater, with dreams of one day playing hockey like his father and grandfather before him. Minor League Beginnings From the ages of 6 till 13 he played at the houseleague level in the local arena as a forward, where he modestly enjoyed his time until he managed to make the Hamilton AAA team at the age of 14 as a deffenceman. With his IQ for the gaming growing rapidly and his above average size, he managed to impress with 37 points in 28 games during his 3rd season at the age of 16 and believed he was on pace towards his dream. That all changed when his career at a competitive level was about to be short lived after illness struck half way through the season where it seemed his days playing the game of hockey were about to slip away for good. From Sword to Shield After multiple operations and surgeries, and 8 months of no hockey, he returned to a team practice to realize he was already a shell of his former self and could no longer play with the physicality he once fostered. With the help of his father who was a goaltender his whole life, he found the himself able to play recreational hockey as a goaltender to stay active and recover. After realizing he was a natural with stopping pucks, and already good at reading the game, he made the choice to resume his dream with his new found position. After 12 more months of serious training, he reformed his game and his body but with new abilities. Again making a push for his dream at the age of 18, he tried out for his town's local team which at the time was the farm team for the Montreal Canadiens, the Hamilton Bulldogs. The Hometown Underdog After his 2nd try out at the age of 19, he made the Hamilton Bulldogs as a back-up and got a 38 save shutout in his first career game. He was behind a future legend in Carey Price and took advantage of the single season playing together to improve his game further. Price had also gone through the same transition of player to goalie and seemed the perfect person to learn from. Once Price was drafted to the Montreal Canadiens the following year in the 1st Round, Jimmy became further determined and motivated to become the best Goaltender he possibly could. After 5 years with the Hamilton Bulldogs, and the possibilty of moving on in the league seemingly less likely due to his age, he decided to move his career in a new direction with the then also struggling Ottawa Lynx midway through the Season. He found this the perfect opportunity to push his limits to become better, and continues to train this off season before draft day.
  9. 1. Nobody likes losing, but I feel our team can still use the remainder of the season to improve. 2. There's a few cool ones, hard to pick just one. 3. Same deal, the logos are all pretty unique. 4. A bear? both. 5. Leafs fan, and so is my family. 6. Somewhere close to my hometown, with some land.
  10. 1. Not sure, as a rookie I am still learning how everyone is finding success and I think there's a few good teams out there. 2. Same thing there is a lot of high end skill around the leagues so I feel it's anyone's game. 3. Our club has been in a bit of a down spell this season, but I am happy to be here and I aim to help turn things in the other direction. To answer the question yes, we will pass them and start the winning trend. 4. I have played in leagues such as LG but never a sim league like this before. 5. I wanted to play where I would be needed and make a difference to the club. 6. I feel 6'10 you could just chill in butterfly and cover the entire net from dead on the goaline, so I'll pick that one.
  11. 260 Vancouver Wolves @ Helsinki Titans 261 Moscow Menace @ New York Americans 262 Prague Phantoms @ Seattle Bears 263 Calgary Wranglers @ Toronto Legion
  12. @OrbitingDeath okay cool! i'll fix it up good before i submit it in
  13. Awesome thank you for the helpful advice! @berocka I'll update it and see what I can come up with.
  14. Jimmy Spyro The Hamilton Under Dog Player Info Name: Jimmy Spyro Position: Goaltender Catches: Left Age: 26 Height: 6"3 Weight: 187 lbs Nationality: Canada Hometown: Hamilton Style Explosive: Athletic, Flexible, Powerful, High Energy Patient: Great anticipation, Superb On-Ice Awareness, Excellent decision making. Aggressive: Challenges the shooter aggressively, diving poke checks on breakaways, playing pucks. Hybrid: Good down low at sealing the ice, decent on feet as well. Pros Lightning Legs Ability to quickly re-position, deploy/ maintain balance in full-splits resulting in exceptional reactionary skills. He has explosive side-to-side movement and good flexabilty to go with his powerful lower body. His control with the butterfly slides and in the splits are impressive, and seem to allow Spyro great mobility to never give up on a save. This control also frees up his hands during butterfly slides, which gives the him the ability to make glove saves from any position at any time. Hot Hand When on a hot streak, his confidence soars and believes that every shot will be saved. When he is dialed-in, he is on fire and can be a gamebreaker for his team, or a nightmare for his opponents. You will definitely know when Spyro is fired up after he makes some seemingly impossible stops from out of no where to steal you the game. Sensational Consistently makes flashy saves due to exceptional reaction speed, fast reads with a high hockey IQ, and solid positioning. While some think Spyro comes up with these big saves on pure luck, he has proven at any level that he's got some really good instincts and just seems to always be in the righy place at the right time due to his knowledge of the game and solid positioning. Cons Burn Out Low confidence when on cold streaks. Can overcome this with a good game or multiple good saves in a short time frame. While his confidence is mainly what gets affected, his overall fatigue and energy levels drop which means he can't maintain his usual explosive style for multiple games in a row. When he's cold, Spyro ends up letting in goals that he normally wouldn't and beats himself up over his mistakes. High Risk "The flame that burns twice as bright, burns half as long." An over-aggressive style makes for increased chances of injury. After a history with illness in the past, and due to the explosive technique used by Spyro, he can become more prone to self-inflicted injury. This can be a liability at any time and is one of his worst weaknesses. The biggest questions surrounding him in the past were always about how long will he be able to maintain such a style in net. Nerve Shock Can get nervous for the first few moments in the 1st period of away games. In oppossing team's arenas, the atmosphere effects Spyro's focus if not facing a lot shots right away to stay connected to the game. Once a few minutes haved passed or he has a feel for the puck his nerves are gone, unless he lets in too many goals too fast. Jimmy Spyro has enjoyed a lifetime of hockey and continues to purse his dream of playing. After being fortunate enough to play for his hometown team, the Hamilton Bulldogs, for many years, he is ready to make his Career in the VHL and prove he his going to be one of the greatest goaltenders of all time.
