  1. please sir, may I have soem welfare.
  2. All good lies are based on reality. Vegas has a nice pitch, so I thought of Vegas and my player would be enticed by all the drugs and women. Another team had a nice pitch and they were from the same home town as me IRL. Therefore it got changed to shady "Family Advisers" trying to pressure my player. Houston has the most empty sport occupied by bots, and my player is MVGA (make VHL Great again) and hates robots coming to take our (Human) Jobs Lastly I needed to think of something my player would like to do but yet would still throw shade to Houston. Hence the traffic/Podcast part. For me this is half game, half late night drunken LARP. My Player plans to be interesting...
  3. After a bunch of really good pitches. I'm most interested in helping Sonnet reclaim the throne that he once held with the Houston Bulls. I would like to thank Vegas for the piles of cocaine, as well as a bunch of "family advisers" that attempted to persuade me to join another team. Plus I do love a good podcast, and if Houston traffic is good for anything it's sitting going nowhere for extended periods of time. I'm also very driven to keep Robots from talking our jerbs and will strive to keep the league 100% meat Popsicle going forward.
  4. The Mississauga Hounds have been caught attempting to pull a "Pavel Bure" and draft an inelgible player. It was generally thought that defenseman Ken Fury was inelgible for the draft yet Hounds GM Berocka drafted him with the 57th overall pick. "We liked what we saw and had some information that his reported birth data and actual birth date were not the same" Berocka said "We thought, and still do, that he was an elgible player." "everybody would have taken him earlier. We assumed he was not eligible... you've got to give the Hounds credit for doing their homework." Said another GM on the condition of anonymity. Apparently the information was incorrect as League Commish Diamond_bump declared the pick void. Calls to the league were not returned due to the commish having "a few too many of those Coronas" and being "socially distant" after the draft. As for Mr. Fury, he plans to go the route of UDFA for the upcoming season. "I feel honored to have been selected as that shows that the Hounds belive in me but at the same time it's a process and we have to move and do what's best for ourselves" The lumbering defenseman said "I plan to keep open lines of communication with all teams, including the hounds. I just need to do what I can to take my game to the next level"
  5. Ken Fury is a consistent 3rd pairing defenseman who is attempting to establish himself as a staple at the next level on a VHLM blueline, after racking up respectable defensive and offensive statistics during his Jr Tenure. Ken is a solid puck moving defenseman with a nasty snarl posting a substandard plus/minus rating of -8, the 18-year-old defenseman registered career-high totals in blocks (147), PIMS (137 with 10 fighting majors) and hits (162), while averaging a staggering 24:07 minutes of ice-time per night. Ken prides himself on winning puck battles, defending his crease, protecting fellow teammates, playing with a competitive/physical edge, while laying the lumber or dropping the gloves whenever necessary. He can reliably cover for his partner and forwards, enabling for significantly more risk taking and scoring chances on the offensive end. While not the most fleet of foot he makes smart passes on the break out. In addition, Fury is a sensational penalty killer (played on his Jr teams top PK unit), contributing greatly towards his teams success in the penalty killing department. Without Fury’s stout shot-blocking abilities and defensive awareness, the penalty kill and overall defense would ultimately suffer substantially. He was relied upon heavily in all situations for the weak Jr squad, logging especially key minutes on the penalty kill and shutting down his opponent’s top line. When Ken Fury went down due to injury his team went from 3rd in PK to near bottom showing his ability to anchor the penalty kill. While Ken's abilities as a defender are notably solid, his offensive prowess frequently receives minimal recognition. Playing predominantly penalty killing and 2nd pairing minutes, alongside a relatively mediocre partner on defense, Fury’s season offensively was undoubtedly decent. The are concerns after an UCL tear half way through the season so there are questions if his skating will come back. Pros: above average fluid skater, size and strength, great awareness, hockey IQ Cons: injury history, may take too many penalties
  6. Thanks everyone. Looking to be a physical smooth skating stay at home defenseman who could perhaps learn to generate some offense once he is able to reliably keep his own end clear.
  7. Nils, What do you expect to be the biggest jump from Norway to the VHLM to be? What is your planned training program for the upcoming season? In Canada the was a raging conversation about whether or not a hot dog is a sandwich. What are some of the stranger debates you have heard at home?
  8. In an attempt to build up some Hype for his upcoming season and hopefully nab a contract Ken Fury will be answering questions.
  9. Yea, I saw that there is both a lack of Defense in general as well as good skating physical stay at home D who dont provide much offense.
