  15. Seeing it is theme week and this seasons theme focuses on the future I have decided to put sole thought into what direction I would want to go next once Jer Lefebvre has run his course! Now don’t get me wrong Jer is only in his 3rd and final season in the VHLM, next year he will make the jump to the pros but still has a long career ahead of him before I can get going on my next create. However, with that being so, I took the week and did some thinking, and it was some tough thinking but I think I am going to take the plunge and develop myself a goaltender ! When I first created Jer Lefebvre it was a very very easy decision! I have been a forward my whole life, always played center and am the same size as Jer. So when it came time to create my first player I just created myself. Even with the in depth we are able to get with developing our skills it allowed me to be myself even more, and good skating, shoot first, but still a great playmaker kind of player. I have really enjoyed having Lefebvre as my player so far and With lots more career to go i am very excited to see the path it takes, but when I think about having a goalie it makes me just a little more exciting as it will be a change of pace that I have never been used to! I find that not many want to go that route but in my life being a forward throughout actual hockey career I have always been intrigued by playing goalie, I would even play it sometimes in pick up or exhibition games. So what better place to be able to be a goaltender than the VHL! It gives you the ability to be anything you could imagine any type of forward, defence, and yes even a goalie! I think that I’m terms of nationality I will stick with a good old homegrown Canadian boy, in my opinion Canada produces goalies like no other country, so I think I will stick with that. Looking at his personal attributes I will definetly be making him taller in stature as many goalies now a days are at least 6 foot, and will be somewhere in the are of 200 pounds, always nice having a little lighter of a goalie, allowing him to be more flexible and Mobile. In terms of ability, I plan on developing his skills after the model of Carey Price. With his always calm, cool, and collected demeanour it is idea to have in those clutch situations. Price is widely considered one of, if not the best goaltender in the world, so if my goalies skills can be developed to even half of his he will have a very successful career. Now this decision is not completely set in stone as there is a vast amount of time from the end of Jer Lefebvre’s career and now, my mind could change multiple times, but as of right now I am for sure leaning towards starting a career with a goaltender... the most important position in hockey!
  16. 1) It is nice to see the league so tight, means many teams are staying competitive. 2) Gotta be the one and only Sid the kid, has been my favourite player since I was little still now is the best in the world 3)Touching subject would rather not talk about it lol 4) My bantam year playing Triple A hockey in Canada I had 63 points in 32 games playing against the best players in the province and our team came second in the all ontarios 5) Tacccooooossss 6)I’m expecting to break the 100 point plateau that is my personal goal for the year 7) I try to emulate the electrifying Nathan Mackinnon!!
  17. 1) I think Davos a Greta chance this season got good depth on the roster this year 2) Gotta love the cheap quick subway lol 3) My ideal Davos jersey with be a nice dark purple with silver and white 4) Not the most creative of a guy but I think a cool font of “DD” in some form would look good 5) I’m the happiest person in the world right now that nhl is back gonna be constantly glued to my couch ?? 6) I think it’s Great for the organization as a whole no doubt
  18. This season has been a good one so far for Jer Lefebvre and the Minnesota Storm! Acquired by the storm near the end of the offseason, Jer has settled in nicely to his new home! In his 3rd season it is expected of him to be a leader on his team and that is what he is doing, being very productive and just recently being named an assistant captain! As of the now the Storm sit 4th in the VHLM with a 17-5-1 record, though they are only sitting 4th the top of the league standing are very tight. They are only 1 point back of the 3rd and 2nd place Houston and Ottawa, as well as only 3 points back of Miami who they have had lots of success against this season. As for personal success, Lefebvre has again stepped up his game from season to season. So far this year he is 9th in league scoring with 38 points in only 23 games! His game has developed much more as a scorer too, with 18 goals that is good for 5th in the VHLM. Choosing to return for one more season Lefebvre was expected to be a driving force for his team and now that we are a part of the way through the year that’s exactly what he is been. It is exciting to see what is in store for the rest of the season, but no matter what the end goal will never change, and that is a championship for Minnesota.
  19. 1) my personal goals for this season are to be top 5 in scoring in the VHLM and be a constant leader in the room. 2) I think expecting anything less than a championship with this special group I believe we have would be selling ourselves short, 3) In all honesty I think our biggest struggle throguh the regular season will be to stay consistent and engaged. We know we are a good team and we are going to be in the playoffs we just need to stay on track to prepare for it. 4) I think our biggest strength is our offensive ability, we have some high powered scorers on this team and we showed it in those first two games. 5) gotta love me some happy Gilmore can never go wrong with a classic haha 7) Hoping to get the call to play for Canada at some point would be an amazing honour
  20. My favourite memory of when I was 13 is travelling for hockey and spending all that time with my friends on the road!
  21. 1. I like the break, a little bit of a recharge before getting back into the grind 2. Gotta be rooting for my roots the good old Canadian boys!! 3. I love the intensity and the passion it brings and of course winning I hate to lose more than anything 4. Looking forward to being a leader, and helping the newer players as we take a run at the championship, this will be my third year now and I need to lead by example 5. I think the team is looking very strong and we have one of the best shots to take a deep run 6. Definetly get the one win! Championships are everything that’s all that matter no one remembers who came second place 7. No not really, it is a league meant mostly for development, every team should have their own alumni area as most do but hall of fame I don’t think is necessary 8. So good lol
  22. 1)Just leave it all on the ice nothing more you can do 2)We were disengaged, weren’t focused thats it period need to be better. That kind of performance is not acceptable 3) Honestly not really sure I through my own headphones on and go into my own world to focus up 4) Gotta be my teammates we have a great group in this room and I will never forget it 5) I am very happy with how I have been playing continued my success from the regular season 6) I don’t think so things are pretty good most guys are decently active and engaged
