  1. Hey man, I know you probably didn't use any logic when posting this but like.. if I'm averaging more points with lower minutes wouldn't that make me the better player? If I were getting doubleshifted would I not be scoring more than the people who are being double shifted?
  2. When I was 13 I think I was just starting to get into following real hockey like hardcore, around that age I think I had finally convinced my parents to like buy the garbage little overpriced NHL package from Shaw so I could watch the Ducks play. Why did I have to be a Ducks fan.
  3. 1. It’s WJC week! Do you follow the irl World Junior Championships? I watch it when I can but I always watch it if there are Ducks prospects involved. 2. What is your favourite WJC moment ever? Not really one moment but when I was younger I remember watching John Gibson and Malcolm Subban highlights from the 2012 World Juniors. 3. In S72, the VHLM WJC is made up of 5 teams: Canada, USA, Europe, Asia, and Team World. If the tournament expanded to include one more team, what team would it be? Add a Dark Horse team for all the players who couldn't make the cut. 4. As a WJC fan or player, what bonus perks or experiences would you want from the tournament? Anything to add more realism really. 5. Sum up our season so far with a gif. 6. What’s your hidden talent? I don't think I have any real hidden talents tbh.
  4. Posted in the wrong place the first time I guess.
  5. 1. We’re about a month into the VHLM season now. What has been your favourite game to play in so far? I'm not sure if there has been a game that I specifically can say is my favorite, I love any game we win but besides that I think it'd have to be my first Game Played. 2. The drama off the ice in Miami is likely more compelling than the action on the ice this season, with all the assault, tomfoolery, and general mischief involving some or all of our team’s players. Which storyline(s) are you enjoying or following most? I haven't exactly followed alot, I've more tried to stay in my own lane and be the best I can be. 3. Have you heard that the World Junior Championship (WJC) is coming up this summer? It’s a seasonal tournament that features the best VHL prospects up to 300 TPE. Which of the WJC five teams will you be cheering for: America, Asia, Canada, Europe, or World? I'll be cheering on my Canadian brothers, really hope I can crack their roster next season. 4. Who from our team should make the roster of their WJC team, and why? Dakota Lamb 100%, he has excelled on every line and has been our most consistent player, he should have been a lock for Canada but I guess he will just have to show them what they could've had with his play the rest of this season. 5. What’s your favourite TPE task to do? Why? I enjoy doing edits but I don't submit alot of mine, I enjoy it because it's a way to express yourself I guess. 6. What makes you get hyped up about simulation hockey? I really want to try my best to be a record holder or be on some sort of leader board, I also enjoy when we have huge sims full of wins.
  6. Press Conference for the Week Ending May 31, 2020: 1. Miami finished the first week of games sitting at 3W-5L, good for 8th in our 12 team league. How do you feel about our team's start to the season? I am very happy with the season we are having, we may not be a .500 team but we have had close games and shown our players all have high potential. 2. What has been the stat that you are most impressed with through one week? I think rather than impressed I'm a little dumbfounded by my lack of scoring in the start of this young season, I'm not concerned at all as the scoring will come but still.. not the start me or my team wanted. 3. What feedback do you have for the coach to make the team better for week 2? I have nothing but good things to say about our Coach. Just keep helping the prospects. 4. Yukon has an open AGM position. What skills do you have that would make you a great team manager? I am active and talkative and very easygoing, but I don't believe I am ready to be an AGM. 5. What's the one show or movie you've seen more than anything else? I'd have to say it's The Office or American Dad, I usually have netflix just going in the background of whatever I'm doing so I watch lots. 6. How much wood could a wood chuck chuck if a wood chuck could chuck wood? It really depends on how big the wood chuck is, an average woodchuck is about 41 cm in length and weighs about 3.9 kg on average and an M1 Abrams weighs 60 tons and is 32.25 FT in length and an Abrams can chuck lots. So if a woodchuck was the size of an Abrams it could probably chuck lots too.
  7. User: dart | TPE: 65 (0 Banked)LW | 5' 11" | 183 lb. | Age: 17 | | Florent Vericel is a fast shooting LW hailing from Mirabel, Quebec. Vericel's hockey career is as weird as they come, he had never picked up a stick before until a sixth grade gym class, that is what introduced him to the sport that is now his passion. Vericel had always been a runner he was fast for his age and was always a lock for his school at any speed events, he never really had a passion for running but he loved the competition and was good at it. That all changed after that 6th grade gym class, when he picked up that stick it was like he was born to play.. but not only play.. he was born to score. Vericel's shot was naturally good, somehow without playing ever before he could shoot but his skating was well.. not there Vericel worked on his skating every day he could until he had the fundamentals down Vericel was lightning fast as expected but he was lacking control. When the time for Vericel to attempt making a Bantam team everybody past on him so he made the decision to move to Edmonton, and this move did wonders for his career. The SSAC Mount Carmel Tigers managed to get Vericel who instantly showed his scoring prowess. After this career move which showed how willing Vericel was to do anything for hockey he moved back to Quebec and was instantly asked to join the towns Midget Triple A team, he continued to do what he did best and registered 27 goals and 17 assists in 50 games for the Saint-Hyacinthe Gaulois. These performances put him on the map to be drafted into the QMJHL, he was picked 15th overall by the Drummondville Voltigeurs. He wouldn't crack their lineup right away as they loaned him to the MHL for a season of development. Vericel came ready to play next season and was immediately put into the line up for Drummondville, his regular season was impressive for a rookie as he netted 24 goals and 24 assists in 64 games. Drummondville had made it to the playoffs and Vericel showed that he was a top scorer scoring 8 goals and 6 assists in 11 games for Drummondville on his way to his first Presidents cup. Unfortunately the team placed second in the Memorial Cup which became tradition for Vericel throughout his career in Drummondville. In his next season with the Voltigeurs he continued his reign of dominance that playoff breakout with a 42 goal and 31 assist with another 64 games played, but his dominant season didn't end there, Drummondville again made the playoffs where Vericel was a monster scoring 19 goals with 12 assists in 20 games again helping Drummondville to another Presidents cup and winning himself the Guy Lafleur trophy as the QMJHL's Playoff MVP.. sadly again, Vericel and the Voltigeurs finished second place in the memorial cup. Vericel put in notice with the Drummondville Voltigeurs that he'd not be returning to play a final season as he wanted to chase greater competition. Vericel had seen some impressive Junior's talent be drafted into the VHLM but was far too late to declare, he talked around with his agent and was told that he could join a VHLM team under contract for one season but then would have to go through the draft process after that season and that was the route Vericel took. He had multiple offers from great teams but had known someone recently drafted to the Miami Marauders. Dakota Lamb's father Mark Lamb was at one of Vericel's games in Edmonton doing a little bit of scouting and impressed by his play Lamb made an effort to introduce himself after the game and gave him some advice on what it takes to be a high level hockey player and what it takes to win. Vericel grew to have a sense of loyalty and grew to be willing to do whatever it takes as long as his team wins. Vericel had never really played with a group as committed as him until the QMJHL but going into the VHLM he had no idea what the experience he'd like, but knowing what Mark Lamb's personality and views were he knew that Dakota would share the same mindset as him. He signed with Miami as soon as he saw their offer come in and is fully committed to making the team a winner along side center Dakota Lamb. Vericel is yet to score a VHLM goal but he has always shown that he can score at any level, he is just taking his time to adapt to the speed of the game and trying to be more consistent in his growth to make sure he can get back in Miami this draft. 8. Thank you, this is the first thing I've done with photoshop in ages and I am hoping as I make more I get better.
  9. 1. Why and when did you join the VHL? Joined May 18th, was convinced by discord people. 2. How do you plan on earning TPE this season? For the start I am planning on doing some of the smaller stuff, if I enjoy this enough I plan on doing high TPE earners. 3. What do you like and/or dislike in a team discord locker room? Anyone who plans on outscoring me.. or even really talks about it.. maybe even if I hear they thought about it. Also just want everyone to get along, our discord seems chill. 4. What strengths do you bring to the Marauders? My biggest strengths is anything to do with offense, my shot speed and stick handling are my biggest strengths, I plan on building a little bit of passing into my game but I am going to be an elite scorer. I also think that my anything to win mentality is a good locker room trait. 5. What's the sports-related achievement you are most proud of? Being invited to try out for a higher level of soccer in one of my first seasons of like actual soccer. 6. What are you doing to bring you happiness during the pandemic? Mostly playing other hockey sims and doing homework.. pretty lame eh?
  10. Accept. I am very please to start my career with Miami. Thanks for all the offers.
