You should be good to go now I believe. I removed your base 90 and set your TPE up as 32 (30 plus the practice facility you did). I don't BELIEVE I screwed anything up but if I did we can correct it later I'm sure. Point is your draft and TPE are correct now.

No problem, I’ll just have to sort your TPE out a bit between what was “late joiner” bonus, what was carryover, and what you’ve claimed since. Your attributes will also be reset back down to 0 obviously since the late joiner bonus will be removed so you’ll need to re-apply. I’ll let you know when everything is done and ready.

I did with a week of my vacation pay last year, honestly was more relaxing than most of my vacations where I’m stressed about travelling and how the kid is going to adjust and paying for food and everything else. I literally just dropped the munchkin off in the morning, hopped on Diablo 2, played for 8 hours, and then went upstairs to the family. Does it sound dumb? Yeah, probably, but it was exactly what I needed to relax. Just a week where I didn’t have to worry about anything.

Theme week has been the week before deadline for ages now because having it the same week meant new creates got more only the ideal creation time but also immediately got bonus TPE. Problem is that means it should have been last week but I completely spaced on putting it in the schedule and didn’t notice. We’ll figure out some time to do it in order to compensate or just say that S85 players can’t claim it or something.

To be fair I don’t think inflation is completely out of control right now, moreso there’s room to say this specific type of uncapped is simply way too strong. Consider that VHFL max payout is 6, several people are getting that per week from fantasy zone and you see the potential issue. Long way of saying that basically it’s entirely possible that if we nerfed fantasy zone we might buff something else to compensate.

Just as a note @Abaddon you were the only player created during the period between midnight and when J flipped the new creation season over. This means that if you would prefer to be in the S85 draft we can reset your TPE down to the base + your carryover (there is extra per week between deadlines which you received) and you’ll be the first of the S85 draft class. If you’d prefer to stay in S84 that’s also fine.

Per the schedule the trade deadline is today at 3PM (yes I forgot theme week when I made this schedule, we’ll work something out). That also means any player wishing to retire and enter the S85 draft should now be able to do so assuming I clicked all the right buttons. If you crested between midnight and now and are listed as S84 with the extra catch up TPE please tag me ASAP and ideally do not spend your TPE, we will get it sorted out. The funny thing is: shutouts and S%’s are up but scoring is still relatively reasonable, just low compared to how stupid things have been the last few seasons. The top 10 players are all on pace for over 100 point seasons still. Ultimately this is why we chose not to mess with the sliders, goalies aren’t up but players are still around where we’d be aiming for. Hell there are already 2 players at 1PPG guaranteed on the season with 32 games still to go.

Throw V2 on, that’ll make the numbers go really crazy haha. We used to do that for ASG’s, I do wonder why exactly the shots were so low but probably just a lot of blocked shots from having the best players. I mean we knew that already.

It wasn’t knee jerk in the slightest, it was by far the best solution available to the massive problem that was presented to us, I stand by that. The issue was that the problem rather immediately rectified itself with smaller and less active draft classes that pretty much immediately crippled the problem we were solving which potentially just made the VHL as a product watered down. I’ll have to look at the numbers bud “worst thing to happen to the league” is a long stretch when PP2 existed… I also rather take offence (not from you V2, just mentioning it after quoting you) to the notion that the commish teams just do whatever we want and fuck the BOG’s opinion. We ultimately have final veto power but 9/10 times the BOG’s opinion is what controls what we do unless we have very valid reasons for not doing so.

You heavily outshot us because we gave you 7 power plays and even then you only managed 1 goal. Also the 1 TPE you refer to, is that fantasy or the “conference champion” awards? If the latter that’s based on which teams make the cup finals not the regular season winners so still plenty of time.
