100% it cannot be both. I just meant that on the whole more shots = better S% but lower GAA does tend to happen. It’s certainly not a guarantee but it is a trend similar to a team facing more shots as their D men get more SB. It’s just kinda how the engine is designed. But yeah, we can’t discount 1 goalie for facing too many shots and another for facing too few, one of the other has the be valid.

This is true in theory but you do also have to remember that if you DON’T get a shutout having low shots is gonna hurt more. For example, if you only face 10 shots in a game and let 1 in you have a .900; that’s not super uncommon. However if you face 100 shots (unrealistically high but makes the math easy) you’d have to let 10 goals in for the same S%; that is rather uncommon. In general with STHS facing higher shot totals will definitely hurt your GAA but it can actually be beneficial to your S% because on average you’re gonna let in between 1 and 5 goals anyway (generally speaking) so it’s better to do so having faced more shots.

I love how you started this with “ditto” and then wrote the longest one haha. Like the Montreal Canadiens if you spend a day as a blue you’re a blue for life, it’s been fun having you on board and it sucks to see you go but ultimately I get it, you have to do what’s best for you and I can’t begrudge you that. Not everyone is as stubborn as me to stick around forever. Of course it’s really starting to look like I’m abusing my fellow blues, I seem to go through them quickly.

Also of note as per usual: the game winners can pick a different game of equal or lesser value if they don’t want NHL 22 (we’ll be in touch with details) and people are always allowed to claim a lower tier than why they won. So if you won a game (tier 3) but just want a triples week (tier 2) that’s totally fine.

Would need to buy all new fans for hot pink and I have no interest in that haha. Mind you I do find it can work in some builds, white builds especially can look really good with pink.

Tbh the rest of the room isn’t done yet and none of the colours would look really bad currently so I’m not too worried. Once we have the rest finished I’ll cycle through and see which one fits best.

Funnily enough I was originally leaning orange because I plan to paint the room very dark grey, almost matte black, and have wood finishes that would go well with orange. But I also wanted to have some fun with this and let the masses decide so down with orange!

When I did my last case swap on sim box I used a case with 5 fan slots plus a new cooler that obviously contains a fan. Since this time the fans have been set to red because only 3 of them were RGB and red fans were what I had available otherwise. HOWEVER I received for Christmas a pack of 3 more RGB fans which means the cooler fan and the front fans can now be RGB as well, fully colouring all 6 fans in the case / cooler. Now sim box is old and therefore doesn’t have an RGB header which means I can’t go full unicorn vomit (I wouldn’t want to anyway) BUT I can select from a range of colours to have all the fans be the same. That’s where you all come in. Changing it frequently is a pain because it’s done with a physical remote in the back of my case but since I’m putting new fans in anyway this is the perfect time to change it up and therefore I want the VHL community to decide what flavour their sims come in. Whatever is highest by the time I put the new fans in wins. Relatively mediocre showcase of the colour options

It’s alright, people are bound to realize at some point that I don’t actually make insane players every time, I just got very lucky the last two times and most of them weren’t around before that haha
