This, but not for the reason you’d think: If we want to leave it with the club system, IE GM’s can set it themselves and don’t need admins to set permissions, it can ONLY be at the bottom. You can’t put them anywhere else.

INDEX @VHLM GM As with last season, GM's are no longer required to email in their lines to submit them. To send in your lines please use the Team Management section of the portal. The process for downloading the client file and using STHS to make your lines is still the same, and if you have manual requests due to waiver pick ups or other roster changes please PM me your notes. A couple of notes as well because of the announcement re: Junior league. The farm system is on since it needs to be on all season or not at all. The schedule is set as a direct copy of the pro schedule so it should follow along exactly the same. While the Junior system is not in use games will still be simmed (they are done at the same time) but they won't be posted. When we click Juniors over to being active we'll get games posted for it as well. You guys will be in charge of your junior lines as well as your pro lines when the time comes to turn it on so make sure you remember that. With that being said, all your bots have been reset! This was mainly because we needed a bunch of extra ones to fill the farm roster anyway and with all the expansion there was a lot of old bots or bots from the wrong teams being spread around. Now everyone has fresh new bots that correctly match their terams. Oof, a lot of notes; good luck to everyone this season and let's have another good one!

I would have voted for you if blues voted. Downey > Louth. Also at least you lost under normal circumstances. I lost with the only award to get ranked choice voting in 74 seasons after receiving the most first place votes. Bloody robbery.

Boubabi did pump his own tires a lot but they were never players that were undeserving either so it’s not like he was really swaying anything, just saying what people were already agreeing with anyway. No harm in that.

It’s gonna be a bit extra for me at first to get enough bots onto the teams and such but once that’s done it’s nothing extra. The farm sim runs alongside the main sim (it’s how we used to sim the VHLM actually) so no extra effort is needed at all for the simmers. This is a major benefit over things like tournaments that always get suggested because it doesn’t mean we need to increase the workload or hire even more simmers, it can all be easily accomplished with what we have. Precisely. It’s best to think of it as roster overflow instead of an actual extra league. So if the teams need it, it’s there for them. However if they don’t it hasn’t added any extra work really to maintain.

Well the other three are done, I’m not sure who did them but they are done. I’m not sure updaters can handle finances and such but they can definitely get them onto a team which is a start, when @Victor looks at all the finances he’d get the rest sorted. Also a bug report for the portal to get the players into FA would be a better method than tagging Josh or Will every day.

I don’t see an acceptance so not yet, no. Also you’re giving the busiest people shot for this while any @Updaters can put people on teams.

Like I said, maybe giving them the average instead of straight predictions but I’d wager most of them would actually go up. I don’t think punishing them for a job that doesn’t pay already seems reasonable

I already answered that: You are trying to solve a problem that doesn’t exist based on hypothetical situations that have never occurred. Even if 1 BOG member did that (again, no proof, and we can see who they predicted and who they voted for, plus the BOG doesn’t pick the ballot) they wouldn’t be swaying the choice really because it’s just 1 vote. By all means go tally how much BOG members get in predictions against the average and see if there’s any kind of trend where they do better but I’d be stunned if there is.

GM’s only do VHLM awards which have no predictions. VHL awards are the BOG.

Based on seeing how BOG discuss awards and vote on them I have never remotely seen proof of any BOG member trying to gain themselves more TPE from predictions. All they do is discuss based on the stats and vote based on the discussions. I also don’t care for the rhetoric of “these active guys in the league who do a bunch, for free, to improve the league deserve to get less for their efforts. Like I said, I don’t think it’s a problem that needs a solution but if we were to do anything it would probably be that BOG a guys automatically get the average return instead of getting nothing but honestly I’d wager that most of them would likely go up if that were the case. Out of curiosity, how did the BOG members do on predictions this year to even warrant this?
