Yeah, anything posted after will be adjusted. GM’s can include notes with their lines to let me know where they’d like new players and whatnot.

I could be wrong but I believe @Quik is referring to Chico’s contract, not your backup. Without signing Chico you’re dead on as you said. It’s signing him that’s the issue.

Pretty sure @Quik just said if they want to forgo the TC TPE we can remove it from them and they can choose to stay down.

INDEX @VHL GM Please look over your rosters and let me know of any issues ASAP. Please also send your lines in; the goal is to start the season tomorrow. An overall note for this season as well. Standings on the portal are slightly misleading. They list it in conferences HOWEVER they do not account for crossover playoffs which will be manually adjusted for at the end of the season. So we may hit the end and see teams listed as "Eliminated" who are actually in based off overall standings.

Davos, Riga, NY, Vancouver so actually 4 but yeah, still not half.

Davos also has 500k less, just something to keep in mind. I know @ShawnGlade was concerned about signing his draftees. @Spade18 fix your shit.

That was my thinking. Pre-season will add at least 2 days before we can get going and doesn't really offer much. I feel like the majority would prefer to start the season tomorrow rather than Thursday.

Indexes will go up today for both the VHL and VHLM. Unless @VHL GM 's or @VHLM GM 's heavily care we will likely skip Pre-season to save ourselves a couple of days and get the season started tomorrow. @Victor Could you please do a final post-draft check to make sure caps are all being met before the season? As has been the story of this off-season, a weird portal bug is stopping me from distributing Prediction Points but we're working on that. New ones will open when old ones are distributed. If it goes into the season a bit that's okay. On account of the draft being late training camps will remain open until the end of the week to allow for newly drafted players to take part.

You have no idea how close Malmo actually was.

Proportional is important to a point but it will always favour players with lower overall totals. Someone who has 20 points could score 40 and they got 100% better but that’s not as big of an improvement as someone going from 50 to 100 which is also a 100% improvement. Take your argument on hits for example. Svoboda’s jump is insane proportionally, over a 700% improvement. But that’s only because he was so low with 7 hits. His total, 51, isn’t actually that impressive. Both need to be considered, we can’t just look at proportional improvement and say “yup, this guy is better. He still did worse but he was shittier before.” There’s also an argument to be made for the fact that breaking the 100 point barrier, for example, is harder than breaking the 1 PPG barrier. Svoboda has a case, I don’t deny it. However Dahlberg’s jumps are kinda more impressive; at least in the opinion of the award committee. Ultimately it’s “most improved” but it’s still one of the subjective awards because people still need good seasons. We can’t just say “this guy went from 1 point to 10 so that’s 1000% better, he wins.” You still need to have a good season and ultimately Svoboda’s season was more average. He went from terrible to average, his competition went from bad to great.

Was ultimately a ridiculously tough decision. I had 6 offers, all of them equally valid which really speaks to the level of parity in the league right now. Even Malmo was honestly in it after an amazing pitch from @Advantage had me wondering if individual glory was worth it. Calgary obviously traded for my rights and did push hard but I just don’t know if I trust the top players being basically the same as the players I lost with last season, it’s nothing personal @Bushito. Vancouver surprised me with how deep they are looking, same with NY, so @Beaviss and @Spade18 both had good arguments. Then there’s Toronto. Obviously @Devise really wanted to pick me up and damn it was tempting to chase that 3-peat; I’m sure he’ll do his best to make me regret this decision. Ultimately though I had to go with my gut and say that last time I followed Devise to try and get the threepeat it didn’t work out so ultimately, on what was basically a coin flip by the end, I had to go with my boy @Quik.

Sorry I broke everything in the middle and had to redo the first 45 picks but it’s all setup properly now and officially done so congrats to everyone that got drafted!

Good fight Louth but glad to take home back to back Boulet’s. It’s not that you had a bad year @Beaviss, in many ways you had a better year than me. However the Boulet has always used hits as an important number and you didn’t have enough of them. Pick some up for next season and give me a challenge eh
