Not anymore since 4 teams don’t make the playoffs. Was mentioned in the expansion thread last season.

Just had to re-open that wound for me too didn’t you 4 Victory cups with Seattle now and 0 finals appearances outside of my final season with Beketov way back when.

Not live it is! I’ve got far more time to do that so it makes more sense. I’ll do it tomorrow.

That is the question. Historically I have done lottos live but I don’t have a ton of free time right now to record it. I can pretty easily do the lotto and post the results but setting up the recording is a lot more difficult. So, do people really care if it’s live? If you don’t really that much I can do the lotto at lunch tomorrow when I sim. If you do then it’ll have to be some time later.

Pretty sure wingers are treated more or less the same. If our HoF is any indication though centres perform better.

I have no doubts that had I gone to Toronto, Riga would be in the finals; had I gone to Helsinki, Seattle would be in the finals. It’ll do whatever it can to keep me out of them it seems even when I play better than most anyone. 12 points in 6 playoff games, not enough to do anything apparently. I mean a bloody CPU goalie had a 41 shot shutout against us, if that’s not a cup curse I don’t know what is. Holik and Sokolov were at least shitty in the playoffs so it made sense. Thompson is great, it just hates him. Meanwhile Arroyo gets his what, 5th straight cup appearance? I’ve seriously lost count of how many times I’ve won the Victory cup only to be beaten by the team the squeaks in, its BS. FWIW to @Quik and Helsinki I’m not at all saying you guys’d are a shit team. I expected a tough challenge. My annoyance comes purely from the amount of times this happens and the fact that we can never even bring it to 7, we just always get wrecked early. GL in the finals.

And once again I can’t make the finals. I’ve lost count of how long it’s been but at least 2 full careers and now over half of another. I’m getting really sick of STHS deciding who it likes and who it hates; especially since it always seems like it’s me that it hates.

And you’re seeing exactly why the VHL is a two line league. Ultimately having more players doesn’t tend to produce better results because the best players can just play all the minutes and not get tired.

Might I ask why? I personally do t think people should be able to re-submit answers. If you got it wrong it should count as being wrong. That’s my line of thinking anyway.

Thing is, that would be boring. You’d always have the better teams on paper winning. I get why a bit of extra randomness seems to be introduced in the playoffs. It’s just infuriating how strong that randomness tends to be and how much it seems to favour certain people. For example, the playoffs hate @Banackock and I but they love @Devise.

My entire career with Holik in a nutshell. Sim randomness definitely gets turned up to 11 in the playoffs there’s no doubt and I think it’s just to make things more interesting but it goes too far, especially with the goalies and especially since it seems to pick and choose from the point of creation which ones will be good playoff goalies and which ones won’t because it’s far more consistent than you’d expect it to be.

Fucking hell. I sense another year of missing the damn finals despite being on the best team on paper. I know paper means shit to STHS but seriously, how many victory cups do i need to win without seeing the finals?
