    In the first 5 seasons we have indexes for (20-24) a shutout streak was achieved 11 times. Of those 11, 7 were different goalies (Shaw had the most with 3 )and all of them were streaks of 2. So far in my search no one has passed 2 straight.

      yeah it's annoying that we didn't save them. But I think was just a case of us switching hosts in S18 (so we have that and S19) and then finally getting our own site for S20. But for your purposes, I don't think there would have been a long shutout streak in the first 17 seasons, way more offensive back then. Maybe from someone like Laframboise but feel like that would be better known.

      Yeah, for this purpose I’m not too worried. I can’t see there being a streak longer than 2 prior to the Shaw / Kanou era. It sucks to not have the indexes in general but it shouldn’t affect this any. I’ve looked at 10 seasons so far and have only found 1 streak above 2.

      I remembered the pro team schedule page exists so that's a much faster way of searching through these, bonus. Also, it won't be in the final document but let it be known that in S32 both Helsinki's and Calgary's Backup goalies got 2 shutout streaks. They were the only streaks that season.

    Maybe someone else can think of an easier way to handle this. I’m trying to figure out the record for consecutive shutouts (I believe I own with with Holik but have no confirmation). What would you think the easiest way to figure that out would be? I’m thinking just go through the old schedules and search for 0 then mark down how many in a row a team gets. Shouldn’t happen consecutively that often and I can exclude any season where goalies were all under what’s i have in total, not that it should happen much.

    If I walk into a store in the middle of Iowa and start speaking Japanese should I expect to get service in that language? I don’t think there’s a distinct reason to have a rule that says “English only” when it’s fair to tell from reading literally anything on the site that we’re an English community. I don’t mind a little French in articles, it adds a certain extra flair and character that could be interesting and wouldn’t be present if we made a hard and fast rule. I just think we don’t want to open a potential can of worms for people to come in with anything they want that no one else can understand. As @.sniffuM said it could just create problems. Also FWIW I wasn’t calling you out at all. You need to stop taking everything I say as some kind of slight. All I said is ultimately it isn’t up to a VHLM GM to decide what counts for an article. If anything it’s not even up to me, it’s really @DollarAndADream‘s department.

    There’s no formal rule but I think the fact that every announcement, rule, and post is made in english should be enough to showcase that we are a primarily English league. Our memebrs speak many different languages ( @hedgehog337 is a great example) but posts and articles especially should still be English. I assure all members no one will be chewed out for having English be their second language.

    I mean it’s ultimately not up to Blade. It’ll fly for this one but we’d really prefer articles in English. Even if it’s not perfect, we don’t mind at all. The VHL has actually been very beneficial in developing English as a second language sometimes.
