I don’t think you’ll like the fact that I had to resim either haha. I simmed and it crashed on output so I needed to sim again. You still lost to Seattle but it was 3-2 the first time.

I noticed @Will must have gotten caught up with portal stuff last night and missed the sim so I ran it this morning while I was doing the VHLM one. Sorry about the messed up looking index.

I think the problem with it is that 30 TPE base means a barrier of entry for carryover so if someone retires early they end up likely getting 0 from that player. I don’t think that’s the end of the world in this case as much as what we’ve been doing though because you wouldn’t get carryover TPE but you would get starting 30 while carryover doesn’t sonit all evens out in the end. Honestly it makes the most sense just as it made the most sense back then. I think 1 generation probably screwed it up and set everyone off down the wrong path.

People probably just didn’t notice, it happens. @Will and I have discussed for awhile that with so many jobs we need to find a way to either have a full chart of what pays what and who gets it or auto-pay in the portal because things are bound to get missed. AGM’s are, at most, doing half the work so the GM pay is split. Pay cannot be otherwise gifted to people in the form of roles, especially roles that aren’t officially approved by the league.

It’s definitely supposed to be half, even if the GM in question has a job giving them the full cap.

This is much more of the kind of play I expected to see this season. Don’t k ow what changed from the first few games but I’m not complaining.

Double up Riga, lose to Toronto. Oh well, Stopko definitely stole this one. GG.

Won’t see me complain about a 4 point hat trick, especially against Riga. Good win boys.

I don’t recall for sure but I’m pretty sure all my checking was added last season.

FWIW when I increased my checking to try and act as more of a two-way forward my hits did go up. My PIM did to as you say but not as dramatically as my hits did I would say. I think it’s just a natural thing, hitting more means that more of those hits are bound to be penalties. I don’t think it’s always the case to assume checking = PIM though.

Yeah, I’m not sure what happened there. My guess is a few mistakenly took the 30 + carryover and it just kinda stuck. Honestly I’d prefer either just saying carryover is limited to 50 (just a nicer number) with everyone getting the starting 30 or have it as originally intended with starting 30 being for first gens and carryover being for re-creates. Maybe with a grace period of sorts that when re-creating you can take whichever is higher which would allow for people to at minimum start with 30.
