Honestly if I had a vote for MVP, which I didn’t, I would have gone with Arroyo or Ironside probably. Arguably everyone on the ballot had help (Thompson had Malenko, Cast had Edwin, Arroyo and Ironside had each other) aside from Stopko but @Victor is right that in the regular season I don’t think Stopko made or broke Toronto. I think Arroyo and Ironside did; arguably moreso than Thompson, Malenko, Cast, or Edwin. That’s how I was expecting things to go anyway. The split of the votes is more of a surprise to me than anything else.

I’ve always kinda looked st it as the award is worth 2 so if 2 people get it the amount gets split but admittedly it doesn’t make a ton of sense.

I’m incredibly confused as to what occurred.

The portal really was a big game changer for us I think. @Will took a basic concept that @Devise came up with and I designed and really ran away with it. The amount of features we’ve managed to add to make everyone’s lives easier is kinda incredible and really does set us apart I’d say.

Well look who it is.

You also don’t have any of the team awards, did we not have headers made for those? Everyone knows them but they are still usually in there. I’ve moved the topic to its usual location and opened it up for discussion in there. What I’ll likely do is consolidate the posts into one later and include the team stuff.

Now that the show is complete I’ve moved it to the regular spot and opened it up so feel free to continue discussion in here. A few reminders on the TPE claims: as mentioned in the OP, shared awards count as 1. Also, team awards (which are oddly missing from this, I’ll get it cleaned up and added later) do not count for TPE Rewards however the All-VHL teams do. All-VHL first team is 2 TPE, 2nd Team and All-Rookie are 1.

Honestly I wasn’t expecting MVP since a Victory cup winning player rarely takes it and there weren’t any major standout performances this season that were lone wolf type players. However it does seem odd you got MVP with no other awards, wonder how often that happens. Really though, can you not just go 1 bloody season without an award Anyway, took me 10 players to hit 4 awards previous to Thompson and this season I take home 4 in a single year including my first Brooks and Slobo. I can’t complain too much about that.
