Should have done this earlier in the week when it was relevant but whatever. 1. I feel like I predicted Vancouver before the season began, I don’t remember. I’m gonna say DC though. No idea why, I just think it might be their year. 2. I mean I’m always all for being a stronger team but on the whole we’re actually doing pretty well in individual games. Maybe not win wise but we’re constantly outshooting our opponents and Simon is just screwing us. So I say run with what we have; when we won in the RS Simon screwed us in the playoffs so maybe try going the other way eh? 3. The trend the last 2 dozen seasons or so has been for a single player to dominate the Boulet for 3-4 seasons at a time. I expect Sogaard to do the same; anything less would be a disappointment. 4. Remove Prague and bring up Vegas. I have absolutely no reason for choosing these teams really but that’s what I’m going with anyway. 5. Old Dutch BBQ. Good crunch, nice spice, just delightful. 6. I would put fall second, I prefer spring. Weather is similar temperature in both but because spring is coming off of winter hell it feels warmer whereas fall is coming off summer so it inevitably feels colder. Plus cleaning up leaves sucks.

To be fair Commish jobs rarely have postings at all. We mostly did with the M because we knew it was likely we had to replace both and we had a bit of time. With the VHLE we wanted to get it dealt with quickly and were all (that is @Josh, @Acydburn, and I) in agreement that @Enorama fit the role well. So it’s not so much that we used the VHLM posting for the VHLE posting, it was more just that we knew we had a candidate we liked and that’s generally how commish hirings work.

Tbf Pacific time is dumb. Atlantic time is best time.

FWIW this thread wasn’t even “why are sims late” it was “why are VHLM sims later than VHL sims, the answer to which is that it’s a different summer with a different schedule. On the whole we do try to be consistent with our times but we’re all different people so they aren’t all going to happen at the same time. I’m realizing it is actually possible that @Achilles joined while @MexicanCow123 was handling all three leagues so they actually would have been all together and it’s possible they assumed that was the norm when it isn’t. Also us old farts never had times like that because we would go days at a time sometimes with no sims and just accepted it was an inevitability

Real people are pressing those buttons and the availability of those real people doesn’t always perfectly line up with one another. I assure you it’s not intentionally shafting one league or another it’s just the time availability of the simmer doing it.

We really can’t. Our server provider literally thought they were getting DDOSed last time because of how poorly it was coded.

You know what’s crazy? For the first time since S64 or something (I don’t recall when I started simming the M, I know it was a few seasons before the VHL) I am not simming and therefore can’t just claim 12 Monday morning when I wake up and move on with my life. That creates a complication during theme week because I can still get the bonus from my job pay but I need to actually complete minor tasks to finish up. Therefore I’m here with one of these new fangled rambly 590’s (drop a comment if you get that reference). This paragraph alone was probably close to the word count but anyway: - I was without power for 65.5 hours so that sucked, still kinda trying to adjust to having lights again, it feels wrong. That’s part of why I’ve been pretty absent this past weekend though. Newborn already dropped my activity levels a bit (obviously) but that on top of having no power for nearly three days while she has a cold (at 10 days old, that’s just mean) pretty much did me in. Hell my phone was dead 95% of the time. I’m alive though and didn’t get washed out to sea so… hi. - I have seen some rumblings (via @Tate) about how we should have a third blue and that’s probably true, @Josh and I have discussed it. Especially since we came very close to having baby brain at the same time (his munchkin is due next month I believe) it’s probably not a great risk. We’re just trying to decide on the right person for the job since APPARENTLY I keep scaring everyone away. - Papa is playing kinda mediocre this season which is annoying. Still, we’re doing alright. I set the franchise record for playoff wins last season and am only 56 away from taking the regular season crown as well so hopefully I can get there. - Finally had to use the portal trivia tool so that was cool, hadn’t used it before. Questions were easy. What the hell do you normal people do for the last 2 TPE though? Oh right, PC is a thing. Maybe I’ll go and do that now.

FWIW my power has been off for the last 62 hours on top of having a newborn with a cold… so yeah the VHL hasn’t exactly been a priority.
