  4. Sorry, denied the previous one already, so I'll approve the 1 I have in queue, and when you buy another one I will also approve that. Sorry for the confusion, glad we got it all sorted out!
  5. This is for Hybrid Attributes, not STHS attributes. This one is particularly confusing because there is both a Hybrid and an STHS Passing attribute. You have not spent any TPE on the Hybrid Passing attribute so there is nothing to Recall. I'll deny the purchase for now, and let me know if you have any questions!
  6. I like this one better anyways

  9. Welcome back!
  10. Congrats!
  11. Jillian Woods was born in California, and was raised by a single mother. She had always excelled academically, and poured her hours into bettering herself in any way. Sometimes as a distraction, sometimes in an obsessive and unhealthy manner, but always in a way that pushed herself to her limits. She was not afraid to join clubs at school, she was often the last one out of school every day, either coming from the gym, or the library or just wandering the halls. School was her home and her peace. She would graduate high school at the top of her class. With a resume boasting several club leadership positions, hundreds of volunteer hours, an array of awards and of course near perfect grades. She was superhuman in all meanings of the word. She didn’t opt to go to an Ivy League school, instead going to her local University of San Francisco. She moved into a residence on campus and began her rituals again, joining clubs, studying hard and taking her chances to get the most out of her education as possible. She was often coming home late to her room, not having been partying but instead cramming her body with as much productive energy as possible. She began to have an obsession with King Arthur and the legends surrounding his reign. She spent a ton of time with one of the professors, Anthony Ludgate. She spent more and more of her time researching this era with him, and they became a dynamic duo of knowledge and secrecy. It was him that first introduced her to hockey, his escape from academia. He taught her to skate, and her smooth stride earned her the nickname “Shadow Woman” amongst his amateur league. She never knew how to do anything any less than obsessively, and quickly began to grow her game. She studied the archetypes of the game and compared them to Arthurian legend, using the tricks and talents of her interests to twist and change through playstyles. You never knew what player you were getting that game. She also trained her teammates with the same vigor as she trained herself. They slowly began to grow into more than an amateur team and found themselves seeking higher competition. They became a team called the “Shock Troop”, known for their unorthodox and shocking styles of play, and their uniform nature. They had an enforcer called Skull the Slayer, and a goalie called the Living Mummy, able to come back from any sort of shooting onslaught. Shadow Woman found herself on the back end, retrieving the pucks dumped in and sweeping through the offensive lines into their zone. She was often labelled as a Secret Defender, more of a midfielder than a true defender, flying around the ice picking pockets and slinking back into a scoring position. Teams never really knew what to make of her, and with her style changing all the time, there was never enough video to truly understand what she might do next. She was an offensive coordinator, a running back and a quarterback, all in one small frame. She had a few truly dominant performances, particularly in Chicago outside of the Museum of Art, she was able to use her teammates to great success against the “Sorceress on the Ice” Malachi and her D partner Korahn. They hunted mercilessly for what they called the Moebius Stone, some inside joke about the puck. She also bailed out her team against the Swarm, a team led by Fritz Von Meyer, who resorted to playing in alternative leagues in South America after a controversy involving hate speech in his native Germany. His team was known for being nearly identical, and swarming the puck. With how slippery Woods is however, she often found her way through the crowd, scoring several breakaway goals to secure the win. Soon her time with Ludgate and the Shock Troop would come to an end, as she was set to graduate, and was no longer eligible for the program. She had to turn her eyes to other places to play. She had watched a few San Diego Marlins games as a child with her mother, and saw this opportunity to reconnect with her childhood and find new meaning in the troubles she faced. The local fanbase is excited to see where her career goes from here as she enters a new level of competition she has never faced before, and what form she will ultimately take for the rest of her career. She has been contacted by several talent agencies and hopes to remain independent, although players of her potential often find themselves better opportunities overseas, with more security. She has taken offers from the Brand Corporation, and she may have no choice but to allow them to manage her career from here.
  12. First goalie of the class I believe!
  13. What is Jillian Woods? Well currently nothing. Right now she is 0 TPA, and this maybe be one of the last times we ever see her so raw, and so unformed. This is not about what she is, but about what she could be. Before she turns her efforts towards anything, she is everything. The first thing she will be is small. Shorter and lighter. Perhaps this means she will skate particularly well. Perhaps this means that she will slide smoothly between the burly bruisers that threaten her puck possession. Perhaps she will use her lower center of gravity to punish players at their hips, or sneak under their sticks to thieve their precious puck. Perhaps this means she will be tossed aside by the first menacing monster she encounters. We have yet to see what will be a pro, or a con. She will train hard. Will this manifest in strength? Will it manifest in vision? We have yet to know, but we do know that she will train hard. Harder than anyone else in the competition. That is certainly a pro, so long as her training manifests into something positive, cohesive and conveniently or coincidentally capable of turning the tides of competition. Will she break games, or will the games break her? We have yet to know, and uncertainty is not something teams often build around. She will be different. In what ways? We have yet to know. When will these differences become apparent? We also have yet to know. She will likely lurk in the shadows, placing herself in the same places as her peers, pretending to follow their path before breaking loose. You may not know what her secret is in the minors, or in Europe. You may not even know in her early VHL career. But you will know when all is said and done. Is that a pro or a con? We have yet to know. It is likely both, and the weight of each is the real question. So her pros are that she will work hard, sneak around, and be something special. It will be up to fate to determine how that manifests, and how many cons will haunt her, on her quest to be the best defender of an era. So to those scouting, you’ll have to let time do its magic. You’ll have to see what happens, and how it could affect you negatively or positively. Sometimes things are only measurable when they are observed.
  14. A blank slate! Jillian Woods marks new territory for me in the land of the defender! It was a bit of an impulse decision, with being entirely indecisive on a position, and I was going to wait a while to figure out what everyone else is doing, but there’ll be a ton of recreates doing a ton of different positions, I’m not worried. I’ll just have to be the best one! I figure that Gustav is right and I’ll probably outearn everyone anyways so it really will come down to putting myself in good situations and making the most of the build knowledge I have. I’m excited to be heading back to San Diego, assuming they send me a contract! I’m hoping to be accompanied by at least 1 more big recreate, and we’ll fight tooth and nail to earn our spot. I wanted to make sure that nothing was just given to me given my history with the club and my earning reputation. The VHLM is for first-gens and they’ve earned the right to get the ice time they’ve worked for. At least for these last few games I want to support them in their mission. Next season can be about me! I screwed up literally my first update which is funny, I accidentally claimed the wrong week, and secretly hoped someone would approve it without noticing before I revoked them. May as well be the best without accidentally cheating. I’ve got lots of words to write today, and I’ll earn lots of TPE over my career, nothing to worry about there. You’ll be hearing more from me about who Jillian is, and what I hope she can become, but I’m hoping to break some of the standard molds the VHL has created, and while my hesitation for investing in large TPA D still stands for now, I hope to find a way to convince myself that there are ways that D can create excess value over equivalent forwards. See the London United for more details about my thoughts. So far, there are a few players in the class, I know of 4 defenders so far that should all be pushing the limits of earning, a couple of really solid forwards including a new member of the Goncalves clan who should also be pushing for the Hall of Fame. No goalies yet, although the S93 class seems to be filled with a large quantity of those, time will tell which will make it. I’m excited to see what happens in the drafts as well, really nice to actually join at a good time and not have a triple draft week. I get to uncover things a little more, and marinate a bit before getting tossed around. I hope to get a VHLM season and a VHLE season, assuming the VHLE survives that long. I’m in no hurry for 9 seasons, I just like to build my players too high to be doing that. I may try to do some fancy depreciation math to try to create a superbuild at the end, but that’s a year from now’s problem!
  15. So good to be back my friend!
