  1. Happy birthday VHL
  2. Hey Vancouver still remembers me
  3. 1. I hope they break the record. They've been playing amazingly and i hope get at least 40 goals. 2. I believe he should, you can't light up the goal like he's been doing and not at least be considered. 3. I want to believe and if I had the money to drop on it would bet he would get more than 5. 4. With the rebuild happening it was probably inevitable. 5. It has to be at least the Labatte and Valiq trophies for Liv and maybe even the Wylde trophy 6. He was bald.
  4. 1:We just need to keep pushing for every point in every game with every minute 2: I think my best answer is us, I think have what it takes to fight for that number 1 spot. 3: As this is my first season I don't have too much to say on it but a quick glance shows it to be more competitive with less teams. 4: Both goalies deseve it, they have been a blessing on this team keeping us in every game. 5: Yeah, being from the Holy See I managed to get the Pope to sign one of my old Mexico City Jerseys. So I keep that in there for good luck. 6: I could give a funny answer like Cairo in Egypt or Ulaanbaatar in Mongolia but I think realistically somewhere like Dublin in Ireland or Athens in Greece would be good cities.
  5. Crazy to think the VHL has been around for 16 years
  6. Welcome to Vatican News, you're a trusted news source for the smallest country in the world. Today we have one of our own in the VHLM, Carson Walker Jr. to answer some of your questions. Carson, as a right winger, you play a critical role in offensive plays. What are some strategies you employ to create scoring opportunities for your team? As a right winger, my main focus is creating scoring opportunities for my team. I utilize a combination of speed, puck handling skills, and offensive vision to position myself effectively in the offensive zone. It takes constant communication with my teammates to anticipate each other's movements and make those quick accurate passes. The VHLM has some tough competition. How do you mentally prepare yourself to face skilled opponents and maintain your focus throughout the game? Facing skilled opponents in the VHLM is definitely a challenge, but I thrive on competition. Mentally preparing myself involves hours of practice on the hours and hours just watching film leading up to games, so I know who I'm facing and how they like to play on offense and defense. As a right winger, speed and agility are important attributes. How have you worked on improving these aspects of your game, and how do they contribute to your overall performance on the ice? Speed and agility are crucial for a right winger, and I continuously work on improving these aspects of my game. I dedicate time to off-ice conditioning, focusing on explosive speed and quick direction changes. On the ice, I prioritize agility drills, such as ladder exercises and cone drills, to enhance my footwork and balance. Getting those drills in whenever I can gives me that advantage to weave past the opposing team and get into those positions to make assists or score. Off the ice, leadership qualities are often valued in sports. How do you demonstrate leadership within the team, and how do you believe it impacts team dynamics and success? Leadership is a crucial element in any team sport, and I believe in leading by example both on and off the ice. I strive to be a positive influence by maintaining a strong work ethic, displaying a positive attitude, and consistently giving my best effort. I actively support and encourage my teammates, helping them reach their full potential. Hockey is a team sport that relies on effective communication and coordination. How do you ensure seamless teamwork with your linemates, especially when executing complex plays? Effective communication and coordination are vital for successful teamwork. With my linemates, we establish strong chemistry through constant communication both on and off the ice. Building trust and understanding with my linemates is essential to create a dynamic and productive offensive unit. If you could have any animal as your teammate, which animal would you choose and how would they contribute to the team? I mean the obvious answer has to be a polar bear, right? Its use to being in that cold environment and its size and aggression could put in the goal or just on the ice putting the hits on the other team. Other than a polar bear maybe a moose just with its size. That's all for today folks, come back next week as we find out which VHL team Pope Francis supports.
  7. 1. I think it shows faith in the team from the manager. We have a good group of lads that can give any team a run for their money. 2. I think it really helps shore up the lines as well as gives a some players a bit of playing time to show how good they can be. 3.Can't say how many will make it to the VHL but I'm excited to see how they do. 4.I sure hope so. 5. I believe Mexico City can make the run and hopefully upset Philly 6. Getting some good shut eye.
  8. 1. Pretty good right now. Think we have what it takes to make an upset or two as we near the end of the season and enter playoff 2. Hopefully, never hurts to really sure up each position to give us the depth we need. 3. Hopefully we can climb the standings a little bit and give chilly, san Diego and Houston a run for their money. 4. Probably not, too much stuff outside of hockey for me to focus on right now 5. If I had the time to invest into being commissioner maybe, but as of right now id rather stick to slapping pucks on some ice. 6.Not really, I'm not too much of a conspiracy person.

  10. 1.Not an ideal start for the season, but I think it really helped us find our best footing 2.We've proven before we can win, we just need to find the balance that will put us there 3.Honestly coming off a championship win and going right into dominating the league has really put Philly as a clear leader in the VHLM this season 4.I expected Philly to start off strong this season but I wasn't fully expecting this performance from them 5. Might take a chance to head to the beach and relax for a bit. 6. As a big history buff, it would have to be anywhere with lots of interesting history. Whether that's in the americas, europe, asia or africa is the tough question for me
  11. 1.I'm feeling good, its been a good feeling to be contributing so far in the season 2.Probably just getting use to each other and building that chemistry 3.I love the team environment, active locker room and supportive GM really helps the team get moving 4.Hopefully one of the top players in the VHL 5.Easily getting either some good tacos de lengua or some like a good carne asada torta 6. Choosing a billionaire would be a smart choice to maybe get some financial benefits but id honestly rather get someone like Lionel Messi or Marco Reus. I'd rather the experience of being able to talk and spend a day with them.
  12. 1-I like to think i've contributed some goals and assists but the winning streak is a team effort and not so much a solo effort from any one player. 2-I feel like it shows that Mexico is ready to play a two-way game by being explosive on the attack and smart on the defense. 3-I really think San Diego is our biggest rival as they have found ways to punch holes in our defense. 4-I doubt I have real rival as i'm still new to the league, but I mean there is always rivalry among me and my teammates to score. 5- I personally think we as a team are doing great and working well together, one or two trades may or may not hurt or benefit us. 6- I'm hoping the Kings can pull it back.
  13. +10 Carson Walker Jr.
  14. 1. I think we've had a good first half of the season, maybe a game here or there we should've won but sometimes that's how it shakes out 2. He's doing pretty well, I wish he could get some more goals and assists but for my first full season I think its a good start. 3. I think its just a temporary set back. Teams have figured out their playstyle and starters so now it becomes a bit tougher but nothing we cant handle. 4. I mean sure he has to be doing a good job considering he drafted me. 5. Yeah I was fortunate to get picked for the All-star team and im happy I was skilled enough for them to choose me. 6. Sadly as a Preds fan the Playoffs are just a sad reminder for me. At this point Im rooting for Seattle cause I like their whole aesthetic
