They’ll have a Bot goalie to fill the spot but by no means is it a skilled player, sure they occasionally but up decent numbers but they’re intentionally made worse than an average M player to not encourage playing the bots

In my last .com article I talked about this being Thor Reingaard's 3rd WJC tournament with the only significant thing about this one being he would play with his brother Leif and cousin Lionel Collberg for the first time since their VHLM days. Well the tournament has come and gone and the power of these 3 players was nothing but unbelievable. Team World if you did not know, finished dead last the past two tournament. This time team world started the tournament hot and if not for dropping a couple of key games they could've flipped the script and finished 1st after pool play but instead Team World settled for 2nd place heading into the bracket stage. Through pool play the family Trio but up good number to help support the team, Thor put up 4 points (1G,3A, +5), Leif put up 9 points (3G,9A, +0) and Lionel put up 13 points (1G,12A, +7). Team World's first matchup in playoffs was Team Asia who they defeated 4-1 with Thor being 1st star after a nice 3 point performance. On the other side of the bracket Team USA the 4 seed upset the top dog of the tournament Team Europe to play for Gold. It was in the gold medal game however where Team World would show how strong they were with a 3-1 Gold Medal clinching victory. In the playoff stage Thor would put up 4 points (2G,2A, +3), Leif would put up 3 points(1G,2A, +3), and Lionel wouldn't put up any however. Nevertheless a terrific tournament by Team World, a very proud moment for the country of Greenland from the players representing them and hopefully the next time the 3 relatives get together it will be in the World Cup.

The World Juniors tournament has started for this off season and though it's been a while since Thor Reingaard, Leif Reingaard, and Lionel Collberg have played together I can always count on an off season tournament to bring us all back together. Leif and Thor were close to starting this next season with each other and continuing the streak but Thor was sent to Warsaw and so the two brother will be separated for the 1st time ever. However in light of the WJC the tournament has brought the greenlander family back together to compete for team world. From the sounds of it Team World is also a favorite in the tournament so hopefully Thor, Leif, and Lionel can put on a nice performance together until the next time they are able to get together which might not be until the World Cup in S94?? It all depends on the player availability for each team and if Thor, Leif, and Lionel can all somehow get selected together. This will be Thor's 3rd time playing in the Juniors tournament, both times so far in the tournament Thor has finished last place but with a much stronger roster this season team World may not be a team to take lightly anymore. This will be Leif's 2nd time playing in the Juniors tournament, previously in the tournament Leif finished with a bronze medal with Team Asia, showing up his older brother, but this time around Leif has been selected to play on Team World with his brother Thor and cousin Lionel. This will be Lionel's 1st time playing in the Juniors tournament, Lionel has been the lesser talented of the trio and therefore hasn't been selected in any of the previous season's, but this time around Team World selected him and this season he'll make his debut with his relatives by his side.

With the introduction of this season's new question pool I've officially hit the 10 season mark in my role as Trivia Head and thought why not reflect on some of my trials and tribulations that have come so far as well as talk about my journey so far. According to the thread I was given the job on February 1st 2022, but Josh had really given it to me a few days before which I remember that day pretty well, I was sitting in my hockey team's locker room 30 minutes away from getting on the ice, and nothing gave me more energy to play than some good news of a new job in the league. I did in fact play VERY well, which I credit to the news. To elaborate on the second part of Josh's sentence, a few months before they put up this hiring post I was in the works of a VHL jeopardy episode, I believe I was finished with everything but when it came to lining up the contestants it just didn't work out and the project faded into oblivion. But because of that I put so much work into researching and creating questions that they actually were perfectly suited for regular ole VHL Trivia. The incorporation of it onto the portal brought the commissioners asking for a few questions to add themselves to which I messaged Bek that I had around...50. So it's not that when I applied it was just a hope and a prayer, I had basically already started some of the work of the job which probably is why I got selected but I don't speak for the commissioners. When I initially took over in the role and got a peak at the question pool that Vic had lying around there were a fair amount of questions to go through and verify, a good bit of upfront work. There are still a few that I haven't done simply because new submissions came in and I didn't need to go through the older questions then. I want to shoutout one submission that I really like but I'm not sure if the community would like it as one of their questions so I haven't included it yet,@MubbleFubbles for his Name This Member question (obviously don't want to leak the question if I haven't used it yet) I think it's a really fun question however. Anyways I got through most of the questions in about a week or so and reorganized/created a new system for how I was gonna run trivia in a new spreadsheet. The biggest part about this role that I've learned is that wording is crucial. Early on I had a few problems with the grammar of a question which made me hand out tpe like it was candy. I've gotten a bit better but each season has it's kinks (so far so good I think). One other thing that's kind of been debated on how trivia should be ran is if I should do the 20 question pools like I'm currently doing or if I should leave every question in the pool. I do like the 20 question pool way because each season I sift through and select only 20 questions to replace in the previous pool, but if I were to leave every question in then each season I would have to go through and update all the questions that might have had their answer change (such as the as of S## questions) I know I've heard other pros/cons for how to do it but I can't remember them all at this moment and I've gotten this media spot long enough now, anyways here's to another 10 season's and many more after that!
