  1. Well, as Lizzo sings, it's about damn time, and she's right! The Season 85 VHL Entry Draft starts in just 30 minutes, and goalie Henry Tucker Jr., formerly of the Mexico City Kings, is considered one of the top prospects in the draft, and decisively the second best goalie, behind Murdock. It could be a long night of waiting for HTJ, but given that Murdock's agent is picking 2nd and John Jameson's agent is going first, it seems likely that those two will go 1-2. London goes 3rd, and they expressed their interest in Tucker Jr. yesterday, making it very likely that HTJ will go 3rd overall. If that does not come to pass, however, Riga and Calgary have also put their eyes on the young netminder and it is almost a guarantee that he will go in the top 10, especially with the agent's willingness to consistently earn 12/12, his willingness to stick with 1 team, and thanks to the massive success of the original Henry Tucker, HTJ's reputation precedes him.

Ultimately, it's gonna be a night of fun, games, and intensity as Tucker Jr. watches from the same couch that his dad was sitting in when the Vancouver Wolves took him with the 26th pick of the Season 76 VHL Entry Draft. Now, 10 seasons later, the NSG Agency can only watch and hope that the newest's Tucker doesn't get as acquainted with that couch as his dad did.

And just for a matter of fact, to my knowledge, you and I have never had any dealings in the SBA.

If we’re going to have any dealings at all, it’s going to be at the YMCA!

They say it’s fun to stay there so…

Sorry I was not talking abiut you, I was talking about lil z

  3. Honestly, Imma also opinionize on this thread because it's definitely a hot topic.

Personally, as a VHLer, I am probably considered to be a semi-active member but definitely not the job-holding type, and definitely not an best people here, effectively rendering me an outside observer. However, I do have experience with applying for jobs in other leagues (and getting them), and this is definitely not helping anything for you. Hell, it's gonna hurt much more, because when you go out and publicly diss your bosses, common logic dictates that they will be much less likely to give you better jobs. From that screenshot I received and my experiences with you in the SBA, you also have failed at times to give me the vibe that you are mature and even-keeled enough to be entrusted with a storied professional franchise, and that's my inner EFL BOD member speaking. This probably sounds harsh, but instead of whining and complaining publicly that the system is slanted against you and you deserve another job because you're a "VHL cheerleader", you need to clean up your act, conduct yourself in a mature manner publicly, seek constructive feedback, and show the BOG that you are ready to be a VHL GM not only in terms of experience, but also in terms of character.

I know this is a very hot take and if people actually read this, it may yet set off a firestorm. So be it. I can only base my judgements off of what I have observed in my time in sim leagues.

This post is directed towards lil z only

  4. Well, in spite of his best efforts, Mexico City Kings goalie Henry Tucker Jr. could not deliver enough victories as the Kings fell to the eventual champion Las Vegas Aces in the 2nd round. However, Tucker Jr. was stellar on the whole during the postseason, with a 5-4-1 record, a 2.26 GAA (2nd in the playoffs), and a .930 save percentage (1st of all playoff goalies), and very good in the regular season as well (26-13-8, 2.11 GAA, .906 SV%, 7 SO). The past is in the past, though, and it's now time to focus on what comes next for Tucker, whether that be the VHL or the VHLE season. I only say that because he is exceptionally close to the new 300 TPE minimum for being in the VHL, and it's very possible that a pro team would rather have him as a backup for a season than some random bot.

So far, 3 exceptionally super duper early mock drafts have come out, and all of them have projected Tucker Jr. at around 6th or 7th, which seems about right, since Murdock will definitely get drafted ahead of me and I'm decisively the 2nd best goalie in the mix. I remember cole, my GM, telling me that there were approx. 3 goalies that needed a goalie in the top 10 so it makes a lot of sense.

    1. That's actually a good question. I enjoyed Supremacy for a while, although most mini-games for me lose their fun factor after a while. Would be cool to have a VHL based online NHL GM sim league in FHL or something, although there aren't really enough teams for how much interest that would generate. Ideally it's a game that has not much barrier to enter, while also being great fun with lots of people. Minecraft was an excellent idea, even though I don't play it.

    2. Being involved in Moscow's advisor team makes the off-season a lot more exciting. Helping scout draft picks, and think of ways to make the team better are what make the off-season fun for me. Also, grinding that sweet sweet TPE to make my player the best he can possibly be, always a good time.

    Q:

    1. What's your favorite fast food restaurant, and do you have a go-to meal that you usually get every time when ordering?

    2. Do you have plans to create a player after your existing player? Do you have a position / name in mind already?

    3. What is your favorite logo in the VHL / E / M?

    1. It's a tough choice between Cookout and Culver's (which are right next to each other in my town) but I think I'd go with the former. My go-to is the Out West Burger combo with sides of a cajun chicken wrap, bacon wrap, and Cheerwine.

    2. Honestly, we'll figure that out when I get to retirement, it depends on how much time I have at that point. If/when I do, though, Imma have a defenseman by the name of Henry Tucker III.

    3. I think Malmo is my favorite in the VHL (the VHL has probably the weakest crop of logos), Rome is the best in the E (which has some awesome logos), and the Reapers take the W in the M.

    1. What's the most meaningful song lyric you've ever heard and why?

    2. This year's MLB Draft was the last draft without a lottery (so the worst tea record-wise was guaranteed 1st), what are your thoughts about an MLB draft lotto?

    3. Which VHL/M/E team has the most forgettable team name and why?

    1. Hope so. A Devils fan, but live on the Island and friends would be happy.

    2. I don’t really follow in the off-season.

    3. D.C. Being my nation’s capital, just so much history to explore.

    3 Qs

    1. What NHL city would you most like to live in?

    2. How many real life years have you spent in the VHL?

    3. When is the last time you traveled by train?

    1. That'd have to be Washington as I am a Caps fan.

    2. 1.75 now, but we're getting very close to 2 now!

    3. That'd be 5 years ago from Atlanta to Washington via Amtrak.

    1. What's your least favorite fast food restaurant and why?

    2. What made you stick around here in the VHL, or, if you're a newer member, what made you join?

    3. What's the best dish you've ever had with chicken in it?

(Answer Questions for 2 Capped TPE!)

    1. Mexico City made it look easy getting past the first round of the playoffs.  What do you see next for the Kings and what challenges are coming up?

    2.  What is your player doing differently in the playoffs?

    3.  Having the best defense in the league is only part of our success.  What else do you see as having a major impact on the team?

    4.  When you joined this team, did you expect to be surrounded by such talent and are you surprised to see Mexico City in the run for the cup?

    5.  Do you have any words of wisdom for Tucker or Swayman?

    6.  Do you prefer skiing or snowboarding?  Why?

    1. Well the Aces are a big obstacle, but I think we can overcome them and move on.

    2. Well I'm saving a lot more shots, which is good since I'm also facing a lot more shots.

    3. Well we also aren't that bad at scoring goals and that is helping us win games.

    4. I suspected mid-level playoff team but definitely nit Cup contender tbh.

    5. To Swayman: Next season, wherever you go, that's your chance to shine. Take the spotlight and hold it.

    6. I don't live anywhere near snow and have yet to do either.
