Tell ‘Em Dun-can So one more vhl.com was needed for my uncapped tpe package so here it is, Duncan Idaho will be rambling about random vhl stuff that pops in his mind. Today I learned that it is already 26 years ago that Jerry Garcia died. For people that don’t know who he was, it was @GustavMattiashis first player. We are now in Season 79, so if this is just six seasons ago we can conclude that a single season in the vhl takes 4 1/3 year or that Jerry Garcia played as a corpse his entire career. You decide. When I created together with Mr Hatter, I ordered two funko’s of both Paul and Duncan. They were supposed to be released september last year. Yet they still aren’t here. Stupid movie delay probably responsible for this Jason Momoa who plays Duncan Idaho in the movie, would like to see an uncut version of the movie, so it takes a few hours. So I would like to propose livesims for the vhl aswell were games are displayed in real time. Have fun watching these life sims everyone. When looking at the standings today, all but one European team is on a winning streak. So this settles the debate which conference is better. I don’t care that this is just a temporary view, i feel this is enough to claim superiority over the other side of the league. This is already enough for my vhl.com, have a good week vhl!

A decent start of the season for Duncan Idaho Just like last season, Duncan Idaho is off to a red hot start. After twenty games into the season he scored 27 points so far. In agreement with the Moscow Menace management he used the offseason to work on his passing game as well and it looks to be paying off. With 13 goals and 14 assists he has a very balanced statline, but not good enough yet to be in the forward top 10. Currently the mark would be at 30 points, so he is still a bit behind that. Idaho is shared 9th in the goals department, so this is still something he could improve upon. Assist wise he is still below a lot of others, but this should come when the rest of his teammates improve further as well. One stat that Idaho takes pride in, is the Hits leaderboard. With 112 hits he currently shares the second position with multiple time Boulet winner Groovy Dood, something he can be proud of! Another thing to be proud of that despite his amount of hits, he is not listed in the top 10 for penalty minutes, as this list contains multiple goons like Bob Tristan, Tanky, Druss Deathwalker and ofcourse Alex Letang. So far it looks like a good start of his season, but lets hope this wont jinx it all like what happened last season.

Duncan Idaho: veteran presence Duncan Idaho is going into the last year of his rookie contract, but for the Moscow Menace he is already considered a veteran. He’s an important part of the team and whenever the Menace want to know about his thoughts, he acts like their Mentat and analyzes the suggested moves. This has lead to him becoming an assistant captain in S78, his sophomore year. GM Spartan announced the following: Needless to say, this felt Duncan with pride. He never wanted to take the spotlight away from his Duke, but if the Moscow management picks him, then he won’t be too proud to deny this honor and serve the franchise however he can. Being able to play with that A on his chest also made him play like a champion on the start of the season, but soon he felt the weight on his shoulders, that the team depended on him alot. But he kept going and going , despite the results getting worse and this attitude seems to catch on within Moscow, as this season he once again got called out by his GM: He was right, as Idaho indeed had a massive slump last year, early in the season he was 14 points ahead of a point per game pace, but he never was able to keep up with this. He remained positive , not throwing a fit about anything and just worked hard in order to hope to break the slump. So hopefully for him, this will be the year where he will show the world his hard work hasn’t been for nothing. Duncan Idaho’s veteran status in the locker room is also shown in how he works with the rookies, as he already helped newly drafted Zdeno Chara on an awesome signature and helps people with questions whenever he can. Idaho is really approachable and doesn’t feel too good for the team, despite being the highest earner on the team in TPA. Moscow is a very young team, and having someone like Duncan Idaho there to lead the way alongside his Duke, will only show the VHL that this team will be destined for greatness. The team is featuring young players like not only Idaho and Atreides, but players like Bob Tristan, Phillip Stein, Hard Markinson, Jaromir Lemiuex, The Seabasstard and Papa Emeritus are a great core to build around. And even though he is already considered a veteran presence, he definitely sees himself above anyone else in Moscow, and that is what makes it so great.

Breakdown of my fantasy team. I have just completed drafting my fantasy team, so it felt like a good subject to write my VHL.com article about. I had the 4th overall selection, so picking in the middle of the rounds each time. So being able to draft the highest scoring forward from last seasons fantasy in Christian Mingle seemed like a no brainer for me. For this season I had decided to go for my three forwards first. I actually had select Jeffrey Pines when it came back to me for the second round of picks, but wasn’t aware he switched to defense. So I switched this pick to Luke Thornton instead. I’m glad he was still on the board as he was someone I had already eyed when I opted for Pines. The third forward I considered for that pick was my own player, I just love having myself on my fantasy team, but figured I could still grab myself in the third. Luckily I still managed to get myself this time around. Time for the defense: I am not sure why I picked Letang, the leagues biggest goon at the moment. This might be the biggest mistake this season. Luckily I made up for it with my second defenseman, whom I picked in the last round. Bob Tristan was a great pick last year so I was surprised still seeing him on the boards. As goalie, I went with Sirkants Klamasteris, goalies are a crapshoot, but Toronto started the season with a 6 game winning streak, so hoping this pick pays off for me.
