After being deemed to dangerous to be left in the VHLm Genghis Khan is making his way to the pro leagues. That's right VHL, watch out.
 
Khan is looking to put an old myth to the test. After hearing that players in a different league were able to become in elite in an extremely short period of time simply by focusing on puck control, shooting and positioning Khan has built his entire training regiment around those three tenants. Will his plan be fruitful in creating a career with minimal effort? Time will tell, but as of right now it's clear that he's a prime scoring threat. The manager of the New York Americans informed him just hours after signing that his shot is so dangerous that he'll be playing the point on the power play this season. In my opinion that's an excellent spot for Khan to be played. Just by looking at his stats you can see that Khan is the kind of player you want to have shooting the puck regularly. Every season his goals scored have been on pace with his assist numbers, and in S77 he scored 53, that's not a typo, 53 goals and 50 assists. You're not going to find a higher offense player than him with so little time put in at practices or the gym.
 
So what's Khan going to be working on this season? Defense. His shot is already top notch, it's time to learn the professional level of play's systems to make sure he's in the right spots to break up plays, create odd man rushes and be in prime scoring position as often as possible. You're never going to see him laying the body or killing penalties but by golly Khan is going to create offense in every way possible even if it means blocking a few shots to send the puck back up the ice.
 
Where does Khan fit in on New York? Firmly on the 3rd line. And to be honest, he's fine with that. Before this signing there were talks that Khan could be in limbo without a team to play on. Word is that there were several factors that led to Khan ending up in New York though. To start with, Khan's agent had put a public release on social media essentially begging GMs to find a spot for him on their rosters and in their accounting tables. Not exactly a great place to be in terms of leveraging dollars but if that's your only option you have to use it. The VHL front office noticed that there were in fact more than a few players in the same position as Khan though and opted to apply pressure to GMs to start filling out their rosters behind 1st and 2nd lines. With that came a less interesting tidbit of information but a neat little factoid nonetheless. It turns out that Khan actually has a family tie to the New York Americans through their GM. Have you heard that nearly 8% of people are genetically related to Genghis Khan? (https://www.nationalgeographic.com/culture/article/mongolia-genghis-khan-dna)  Well who would have thought, but the GM @Esso2264 is actually a long decedent of his. Try telling the ruthless and maniacal conqueror of Asia whom you're related to that you don't have room for him. Yeah, yikes. Finally Khan happens to be very good friends with ex-teammate in the VHLm @Shiny. What a whirlwind of factors that led up to this signing.

What should we expect from Khan in New York? Goals. Lots of them. We'll be watching closely to see how all of this unravels.
 

26. I just got back from vacation as you've probably all seen in the LR. Do you have any fun things like that you are looking forward to this summer?  Hanging out with my friends and going out to the boardwalk. 
27. What are your thoughts on the Bears so far this season? Bears too strong, Bears win
28. The Bears Den Restaurant just came out with a new announcement (#7) and @16z was added as a menu item.. SEE HERE! Do you have any ideas on what member and what they could be as an item could be added to the Bears Den?  Venus Thightrap menu item is a giant piece of cabbage with chocolate in the middle. Suppose to draw you in but capture you with all the green cabbage part.  
29. Which team is more impressive right now in the VHLM... Yukon or Halifax? Why? Halifax because they are winning more than anticipated. 
30. What are your thoughts on your players performance so far? He's there and not complete shit
31. What Bear has been the underrated hero so far? Could be more than 1 etc. Most underrated is Alexander the Great. He is not on the ice when opposing team scores or even on the ice when his own team scores. Nothing happens when he is on the ice. 
32. How do the Bears get @Rayzor_7 and his player producing more? One fan mentioned an electric cattle prod.  Tell him to do better

1. How big of an impact can newly acquired Chara ( @Jubis) make on the back end? 
1a. He is literally going to be what we need to win the cup. We are now stacked on the blue line and up front and everyone will fear us.
 
2. Can @ClapbombsRuswin the top goaltender in the VHLM honours this year? 
Of course. Dude has been stealing us games since the start. One of the best goaltenders in the league right now!
 
3. Do you feel like the locker room is fun and interactive and if not how can it be more so!
I think the lockerroom is a great place. With the addition of the twitter (@MaraudersMiami) is a great way for people to be more involved.
 
4. Do you see Houston as our biggest competition to winning the cup? 
Of course we are. We are going for the cup

When you play in Miami life is already a vacation. Year round the weather is amazing, the beaches are endless and liquor every where you go. It takes incredible discipline for the players to focus on the season at hand when there is so much temptation all around them. GM Kris Rice has been so impressed with this group that he decided they were deserved of a mid season reward.
 
      When Rice came to Miami to manage the Miami Marauders he was in heaven. He loved the water and would spend all his spare time on the beaches. As he started getting paid for his duties as a GM his first major purchase was a Yacht. Living every day he could out on the water was his dream. It was almost a second office of his where he conducted many talks with fellow GMs when they came to town. So why not take the team on a trip with his Yacht and travel along the Gulf of Mexico.
 
      Practices were shut down for the weekend and the squad loaded onto the yacht and they started their journey along the coast. Over the couple days sailing along the coast the team really let loose. They forgot about hockey and just started bonding. Napoleon Bonaparte @CptSquall and Alexander the Great @Shiny felt right at home. They stood at the head of the ship discussing the voyage as if they were off to conquer their next piece of land. The Phoenix Dawson @Toastand AGM Nathan Perry @tinafrombobsburgersplayed beer bong on the top deck reminiscing over the past season they once played together and plotting ways to reunite in the VHL. Then you have the young guns Trevor Wallace @LilHCorny and Russel Dixon @Rjdixon01 three beers deep passed out under the dining room table. 
 
      They sailed there way all around the Gulf and docked in Cancun. They spent the night on the town conquering all things there were to do in Cancun but that’s a story for another time. The next morning they crawled their asses back to yacht to begin their voyage back home.
 
     The ride back was quiet and peaceful. The team recovered from a weekend of partying and fun. They all talked about the future and what it held for them in the VHL. Would they be able to play together? What happens if they were division rivals? It didn’t matter, they have plenty of hockey left to play this season and the focus is on back on the here and now. 
 
     They made it back to Miami and as everyone was offloading GM Rice noticed they were missing a couple people. After they did a head count they realized they were missing Kuba-Fleury @Kuba-Fleuryand Jere Suominen @Fredoushka8!!! Rice had no reception being out on the water but once he turned his phone on he had 43 missed calls from a random Mexican phone number. 10 voicemails from two gentlemen who could barely speak a lick of English claiming to be stuck in a Mexican jail. Rice though to himself for a minute, shrugged his shoulders and said “Well Atleast we have ClapbombsRUs @ClapbombsRusand newly signed defender Zeedayno Chara @Jubis!”  (Kidding Ofcourse  hehehe)
