1. What do you look forward to for the upcoming season? Big wins! DC has 5 seasons playoffs draught, it's time to make it 0. 2. Do you have anybody in specific who you expect to have a breakout season in DC? Sure, 100% it is Wayne Shotzky @Kenamatic. Our team will provide him a ton of opportunities and he will glow up. 3. What are your plans for your player this season? What do you expect out of them? 40 wins at least, top-5 in SV%. DC Defence is solid and together we could destroy every opponent. However, you will see his best plays in the playoffs. 4. How has your player spent their offseason so far? Impactful. My body, soul and head are ready for the start of the season. 5. If you could name one thing to do around DC to burn time in the offseason to any incoming prospects, what would it be? Fishing is probably the thing I'd recommend everyone. Especially, with a good company of friends. 6. Name one actor/cartoon character that represents your players personality. Why did you choose them? Charlie Hunnam/Raymond Smith from "The gentlemen". We are good-looking, leader material. Made of steel and both are ready to take the responsibility to do a dirty job.

S99 takes its start in a few days. The off-season has been hectic, eventful and thrilling. As a result, it is going to be the most interesting regular season since I've joined the community. I planned to write down a huge article reviewing every trade of the off-season but couldn't get it done this week. Nevertheless, it will come out a bit later. Thankfully, only one of DC roster players or prospects didn't claim training camp TPEs. My team is super active and dedicating. I am glad that my efforts are paid off with members' activity. Cap tweaks made a difference, for the first time I cared about cap situation. Overall, I could state the fact that 40m is a tight and questionable option, however, teams are set and ready to compete. Hard to see that one of the best users and an awesome player has to be in a basement team. Despite that, Lazlo Holmes is not a victim of cap tweaks. He would have been traded easily, but the price was steep and all buyers founded their D options before Seattle was ready to move him for less value. In conclusion, we are entering potentially one of the best regular seasons for many years. Go DC!

The first VHL season was pretty much short for our protagonist. Vladimir Trunov, the 10th overall draft pick, after two outstanding seasons in the junior leagues, finally took a step up and joined the ranks of the best players. The season promised to be tough and challenging. The locker room welcomed the rookie as expected, meaning the adaptation process shouldn’t have been an obstacle on the young goaltender’s path to his first success and his future as a league star. Vladimir began his first season as a backup goaltender, substituting for the experienced starter Harold Benson, who was already playing his fifth season with the Dragons. Soon, it would become clear that their goalie tandem could be considered one of the best in the league, even though experts had not previously ranked the Dragons' goaltending duo among the top pairs of cup contenders. Both recorded above .925 SV%, Trunov has recorded mind-blowing .94%. Overall, the Russian goaltender played 11 games during the season, 8 of which were full starts from the opening seconds with 3-4-1 statistics. Two out of three wins were shutouts. It is required to say that Vladimir started his path against best teams in the VHL. His brother, DC Dragons GM Bogdan Trunov, decided to throw the goalie versus playoffs contenders such as Toronto, Davos, Moscow and etc. The results are promising, though it was a risky move. Most young goalies crack under pressure, the lack of experience gets on their nerves and negatively impacts on their game. Not Vladimir. The first season showed that Vladimir has all the necessary skills and mentality to become a leader for the team - both on and off the ice. His league debut wasn’t exactly great, and Trunov still has to prove himself under pressure in big matches, though he has already taken his first steps toward success. No wonder that as the Russian goalie's game keeps improving, the Dragons finishes the rebuild stage and after a bunch of offseason moves, they now look like a solid playoffs team. After an unexpected retirement of Herald Benson who was supposed to play at least for next 3 seasons, Vladimir will lead the team this season. In conclusion, we shall mention that Vladimir Trunov ended his rookie season being 2nd in save %, 3rd in GAA among the league and we have a strong feeling that it is not the last time when we see his name on top of the statistics bars.

1. Did you take part in DC Awards voting? Yes, I was lucky to get it done before I went fishing with turned off telephone. 2. S99 offseason is incredibly productive, both for NA and EU teams. Which trades do appeal to you? I would say that Seattle has done a great work. Getting two picks in top-10 is always a promising start of the rebuild. 4. DC has 6.5m cap space, how could we improve our squad? Realistically, we should take a look at available pending veterans. We are lack of experienced players! 5. Are you going to visit VHL Entry Draft ceremony or watch it on TV? I was watching it on TV as usual from Russia. 6. What's your personal goal aside of team awards? I chase most goalie wins in franchise history. Making up a history is something I extremely want to do. 7. What would you recommend to bring into DC Awards voting to collect more feedback and create more activity in the Locker Room? It depends on what we are looking for. Overall, the first try was pretty good and we shared our opinion on pretty much everyone.

@Eb14, @Greasy Gary — thanks for your efforts guys. You joined DC when we were really bad, I relied on both of you and together we made the franchise better. @David VanHousen — Thanks for you service in LR. @blueredlover — trades are always a part of hockey career. Keep earning and one day you will be among the the best players of our community! @Kenamatic, @Spartakiller2 — welcome in dragons family!

The week is coming to its logical end. The offseason has been busy, realistically, it could've been better. Malmo's Locker Room must be making fun of the rest of the league after sniping two star forwards: Del Rocco and Grimgor Ironhide. To be honest, I didn't foresee it. Pretty sure nobody did. When was the last time when basement team gets top FAs? Lucy has influence, and now, his team might be in WC run. They still have to add pieces but they already jumped over their head and if Malmo don't succeed at getting to playoffs, The nighthawks will get some significant value for both users during the trade deadline. Draft happened and I am surprised that Zara Wolf fell off to 9th overall. Potentially, it was due to the fact that he sets sights of his future retirement and GMs decided to avoid potential activity and earning drop from his player. Davos was lucky again to get draft high-end potential forward. Good for them, at least, I am happy that they are in EU conference. From now, DC is a strong squad with pretty balanced roster. Unfortunately, I can't say we are ahead of our conference opponents. But if we do some moves, we could hop on 3rd place and prevent wild card bloodbath. Teams are pretty much equal and it's all about GM tactics skill and STHS luck. Huge respect to CGY, they rebuilded in the air and I am worried that 6 NA teams will fight till the death for 5 playoffs spots. It makes me thrilled, excited and anxious at the same time. Overall, I am confident in my guys and thanks Alex for being such a great person. He's done everything I couldn't during my tenure and I feel that he deserved to be hired in M or even VHL in the near future.

NYA - TOR I would definitely cheer for NYA, it's kinda obvious as DC Dragons keep 1st TOR S99 and higher spot on the draft means a better player. Thanks to VAN, with them being eliminated DCD will get 8th overall on this VHL Entry Draft as well. However, I truly believe that Toronto has something crucial and magic on their side - luck and skill at the same time (STHS blessed). This regular season stated that DC Dragons is the only team that could bit the shit out of the Legion and as you probably realised DCD are out of the playoffs. This is why I bet on TOR without any hesitation and see how they will advance next playoffs round. If NYA goes further, I'll be even happier. Prediction: TOR Key factor: STHS blessed CGY - SEA Another unsurprising and projected matchup. Both teams deserve to pass the bar and reach 4 wins. I'd say Bana is obviously a key factor, however sometimes it is just not enough. He was blessed last post-season, and I doubt he is that lucky to hop on a victorious train again. Many things might happen including a 4-0 sweep. I am not quite sure SEA is ready to go for back-2-back championships. VSN will do their job and in conclusion, I pray SEA 1st will be as high as it can be. Good luck both teams, wish you the best and no injuries! Prediction: CGY Key factor: We want new champion! mentions: @STZ @dstevensonjr @Ricer13 @Banackock
