  11. PLAYER CARD Name: Yaroslav Trunov Age: 19 Nationality: Russia Hometown: Kursk, Russia Position: RW SCOUTING SNIPPETS: + Language barier: Despite Yaroslav was born in Russia he has no problems with communication in the locker room. As a guy who has been playing in different abroad leagues for 2 years his knowledge of language is pretty impressive. He can easily talk to teammates on and off the ice which means that he will be always a part of the team wherever and whenever he plays. Obviously, communication is crucial and Trunov makes advantage of it. + Shot: As a goalscoring winger Trunov impresses the world with his great wrist shot. That is not a lie that Ya has one of the best shot among his draft class and it shows how good he is. Trunov scored 45 goals in his last season and carried Wild in the playoffs. His contributuion is huge and he keep mastering new ways of improving laser wrist shot. It is also implied that Yaroslav has a tendency to shoot instead to pass. According to the VHL.COM Trynov had 405 shots in 72 games (5.6 shots per game) and it is 5th result among his peers in VHLM. + Mindset: Probably one of the most important thing to become franchise player. Ya has a great role model - his brother, Bogdan Trunov, who is a point per game forward, ex-captain of the Warsaw Predators and Victory Cup winner. Yaroslav is not afraid of losing, he is always the last guy on the ice who continue training after the practice. He knows he can be better and he does his best to make a VHL. - Defense: That is a common disadvantage for a young goalscoring forward who tends to play agressive in the offensive zone and waste too much energy which means he have almost no impact in the defensive zone. However it does not mean that Yaroslav doesn not help his team. If we focus on stats we will see +14, 138( almost 2 per game) hits and 31 blocked shots. Apperently, Trunov has to upgrade his poke checking and defensive coverage to be more useful and versatile player. - Adaptivity: It os very crucial for Yaroslav to feel that it is his cup of tea, so potentially GM's will face to that problem and it will take some time, soft skills and patience to create a required atmosphere arounf future star of the team
  12. Game Recap: Founder's cup is here. San Diego Marlins wins the series: 3:1. Lynx started game with a power play goal. 1st overall pick on the S87 draft scored the one-timer beauty and gave us a hope. Marlins were better but couldn't tie the game in the first period. The second one started with a fast opening goal by San Diego Marlins, Reinhard von Kongming 2. Later he will be named a 2nd star of the game. 3rd period should have been over with the 2:2 but 40 seconds till the end San Diego Marlins made a last push: great passes through the offensive zone, shot and tip! Vincent Laroche-Gagnier scores the most important goal of his career. Western Conference champion finally raised the cup

  14. review: It seems you put a lot of effort into this graphic. I love the idea you followed here. Big Cheese was a key defenceman and had a huge contribution. I really appreciate that at the end of his wolves career you decided to devote your pastime and created this piece or art. That shows how reliable you are and other deserves some respect. As a vhl fan it is always nice to see some stat and you put playoffs numbers there. The background, font and colours are insanely great and pretty good-looking. Probably logo swap could have been better and smoother. Overall, I am impressed with this work 9/10
  15. What excites you the most about the VHL? Achievements. That path from young promising spec to one of the greatest player in franchise history. I love that Do you have a specific team you would like to play for? Are you playing for that team now? Hm, I don't think I have a specific one. However, I'd like to try my hand at playing for Wolves and Dragons. Hope one of them will draft me Everyone has a pre-game ritual. What is yours? I don't have any, that's a waste of time imho Is there any music you listen to to pump you up for a game? Do you have a playlist? Not gonna lie, Chase Atlantic appeals to me a lot but that's not that type of music I use before games. Something cool is always listened to like Eminem If there was any other sport you could play what would it be? Damn, I would probably play basketball. Playoffs games are astonishing What's the worst hockey-related injury your player has endured? Hopefully Yaroslav haven't got a lot of them. It's was pretty common injuries like twisted ankle, or pulled muscle. However after one of the hits he had suspected concussion.
