  4. Slept all day getting ready to head into work for nightshift 4 of 8 tonight
  5. I grabbed eichel too good not to take haha
  6. I used to play EASHL a lot but in recent years I’ve played it less and more HUT, I just enjoy the grind to build a good team haha
  7. Newly acquired prospect Toby Cook of the Houston bulls was invited to throw out the first pitch at the Houston astros game this weekend . Cook is an exciting young defender who’s made the most of his short time in Houston so far and endeared himself even more to the Houston faithful on Saturday night . “ it was special credit to the Astros organization for having me out here , and a HUGE shoutout to the Houston fans we’re gonna win that founders cup for you guys ! “ Cook enjoyed the game and the opportunity to relax and unwind just before the VHLM playoffs get started . The bulls head into the first round playing San Diego in what should be an action packed series where the Bulls hope they will come out on top and continue their underdog journey all the way to a founders cup this season . Cook isn’t set to be drafted until the end of next season but he’s well on the way to establishing himself as a special player already in his short career so far .
  8. Anyone play HUT ??
  9. While veteran forward Todd Cooke is getting ready to end his farewell tour on a high note with the LA Stars his younger cousin Toby Cook is just starting his career in the VHLM with aspirations to follow in his older cousins footsteps . Cooke final farewell Todd Cooke finished his final regular season with the Stars second on Scoring with 105 points ( his third consecutive 100 point season ) he also tied for the league lead in goals with 52 which also happened to be a new career best for him . Cooke is looking to go out on a high note and win a championship in his final crack at the playoffs . Cooke ends his career in second all time in goals , assists , and points for the LA Stars and first all time in plus/minus. Cookes career has been a very successful one to say the least and he will go down as one of the greats in LA . Toby Cook Toby Cook is big young hulking d man who just recently signed with the Houston bulls . Looking to establish himself and put himself on the map Cook finished his short season with 11 points in 20 games with the bulls in a very limited role and sample size . With one season to go before he is drafted season 93 will be Cooks time to establish himself . And build on his draft pedigree . The bulls are a very good team with a ton of depth . They are looking to go into playoffs and ride the underdog role throughout their run . Stars destined for a rebuild ? With their core mostly retiring or on the verge of retiring next season it’s almost a for gone conclusion they will begin a rebuild and we will see a new generation of Stars in the future . The days of the high scoring high flying LA Stars are all but coming to an end unfortunately. But all good things most come to an end . Hopefully the Stars can go all the way in this win at all costs season . The future is… defence ?? the season 94 draft class is loaded with many h Ohhh go profile and active members creating defenders in this class the future of the VHL defenders looks like it will be arguably more competitive and stronger then ever . One things for sure there will be no shortage of game changing d men available with any one of them being franchise altering pieces for their respective franchises . We’ll just need to wait and see how everything plays out but it is shaping up to be exciting that’s for sure . What’s the easiest position the create a successful player ?? when I ask this I’m asking in the aspect of what position is the easiest to make a successful sustainable player ? The past seasons show goalie from what I can tell but I’d love to hear opinions on this , what’s yours ? I hope you enjoyed the latest Ramblings as I haven’t done one in such a long time . I look forward to keeping them fresh and consistent with my newest player . cheers !!
  10. 1. Playoffs are always exciting I love the energy and the challenge that comes with trying to win a championship . My least favourite thing ? Well honestly I don’t really have one . 2. I think it means we’re overlooked and we’re coming into playoffs as a bit of an underdog with low expectations. That can however work to our advantage. 3. This season has been good in the VHLM I’ve gotten a taste of what Cook is capable of and I think I’ve established myself for the next draft ! 4. Either Bulls on parade , or something fun and up beat like call me maybe !! 5. a new jet , an all expense paid vacation to a private island for the team in the off season , and pay everyone’s bills off 6. Spending the day with my wife and kids !!
  11. Who is Toby Cook you ask ? Well first things first . Toby Cook is an absolutely HUGE two way Defender who models his game after the one and only Chris Pronger . Cook prides himself in the fact that he’s hard to play against and plays the game the right way . He also gives 110% each and every shift he is on the ice . Hockey has been Cooks life since he was a kid and his put absolutely everything into Where he is today . Pros to Cooks game Cook can quarterback your power play he makes a good first pass and sees the ice extremely well . He’s also equally strong in the defensive zone on the ice not giving his opponents an inch while he’s on the ice Cons to Cooks game Well all that size come with less cardio and the consequence of getting tired faster then smaller players . Cook is also just a tad slower as a result of his size resulting in the odd mis read in a play or being slower off the first step. Overall there are more positives to Cooks game as a whole then negatives . Cook works hard day on and day out to get better and eliminate all the cons and holes in his game . The ultimate goal her is for cook to be a well rounded defender who doesn’t have a single hole in his game anywhere. And with his dedication and pure work ethic Cook is one person who without a doubt can make that happen ! Coming into the Season 94 draft Cook is looking to establish himself and showcase his game and show the scouts what he has to offer . Cook has a lot of promise and potential and I personally think from the outside looking in that we could be looking at one of the next great d men in the VHL . Cook had great insight into what to expect as well as he has an advantage and a person to lean on for advice and personal experience. Who might that be ? Well none other then his older cousin Todd Cooke who will be retiring at the end of this season . “ he’s been great answering all my questions and just being a good sounding board on what to expect” Cook is just taking it one day at time trying to stay even keel not getting to high or low . Once he’s selected and playing he knows the real work will be beginning after that . his ultimate goal is to show he belongs wherever he plays.

    Enter Toby Cook

Toby Cook is considered what you would call a genetic marvel standing 6’8 weighing 250 pounds . How does a giant of this stature find a career playing hockey ? Where did he get his start you ask ? Well we’re here to answer those questions and more . Toby Cook was born in Edmonton Alberta , growing up a lifelong Oilers fan , Toby played many sports growing up but he’s one true love was hockey from the moment he could walk he had a hockey stick in his hand . Cook was a good student and even received NCAA scholarship offers at some point in another but he ultimately chose to follow his heart and declare for the WHL bantam draft with the scholarships in his back pocket . Cook grew up playing AAA hockey in the suburb of St. Albert with the raiders . From initiation to Midget . And like we mentioned previously his immense talent and skill got him a lot of attention from WHL teams during his bantam draft class , going into the draft that year Toby was the top ranked skater. Cook loved watching his older cousin Todd Cooke play hockey and was always a huge fan watching Cooke have success throughout his VHL career. Leaning on home for advice often at times as well . Todd Cooke has even said in recent interviews that Toby will accomplish even more then he did in his VHL career . Growing up an Oilers fan Cooks earliest memory he had of the team was the 2006 cup run . He idolized Chris Pronger on that team , after that he modeled his game after pronger and studied how he played the game . In time Cook grew to be bigger then pronger but to play a very similar comparable hard hitting style of hockey where he could contribute offensively as well . Cook was drafted in the WHL by his hometown Edmonton Oil kings first overall , in his first season with them he took the league by storm winning rookie of the year and defensemen of the year as well looking like a man amongst boys even as a rookie his skill and compete level was so far above everyone else’s . Cook continued to develop and he set records as the oil kings highest scoring defence man of all time in the regular season . “ you know it’s just a dream come true to play out my WHL career in my home town and make that big of an impact on my hometown team.” The transition to the pro game tho hasn’t quite been as easy and dominating for Cook as he had to take the Europe route as scouts weren’t convinced that he had the dedication and commitment to have a successful career as a pro . Cook’s done everything he can to make believers out of everyone that doubted him . He again has dominated the European scene with HC Davos when he first came to Europe . Cook didn’t win any major awards or anything but he finished the season as a top defender in the league for Davos and a huge part of that team. Proving doubters wrong everywhere. The next season Cook made his way to Russia to play in Moscow in the KHL on a professional try out . Cook took the ball and ran , he made the team and finished the season leading the league in points by a d man. This continued for another two successful seasons in the KHL where Cook really established himself as a premier young up and coming defender in the game of hockey . now ranked as a top prospect in the upcoming VHL draft for season 94. Cook enjoys playing basketball and football in the summer months when he’s not in the gym or on the ice training to get better and develop his game . He also loves visiting his family up north in Fort McMurray, so much so that he even has his own room at his aunt and uncles place for when he comes to visit . He’s also worked many summer jobs in the oil sands while in fort Mac as well . Showing he knows what hard work is and that he’s not afraid to get down and dirty and put in the work to accomplish his goals and dreams . all this hard work and dedication enrolled in his veins will truly make Cook a force to be reckoned with as he continues his journey to play professional hockey . Toby is everything and more in what teams look for in a young player in the draft , he shows tons of promise and upside to his game , he’s a great human and individual with an immense amount of character. Toby Cook is a tremendously talented hockey player and an all around good person to join the VHL very soon . Here Comes Toby !!
