  1. After a long, hard-fought battle with cancer, Mama Sike decided it was time to rest. Thank you VHL for providing an outlet for me in this difficult time.
  2. Also, I shamelessly voted for myself. Ongoing Dedication to the VHL during a trying time with my mom in my house on hospice care. But, I honestly didn't know who else to vote for as I'm sure there are better candidates. Regardless, the VHL has been a source of sanity (sometimes ironically) for me, and a place to focus on something else. Cheers.
  3. I see I'm not the only Wyatt Johnston fan.
  4. Hmm. Sure, why not? Gotta learn at some point.
  5. Review Awesome article, and a sexy profile picture. Woo woo Kidding. But, serious about the article. The Ad-Free idea is pretty damn genius since there's already an existing VHL App. People love free shit, no bones about it. And I think if the VHL got more people active that would open up the opportunity for expansion teams and whatnot. Also, agreed. Gretzky has been dominating all season. Undoubtedly a top contender for MVP. I'm looking forward to seeing all of the new talent coming into the future draft. It piques my interest and curiosity to see what direction new and old players go with their builds. I enjoyed this article thoroughly enjoyed this article because it wasn't a single subject write up, but touched on different topics. 10/10 129 Words.
  6. Review You never cease to amaze with these things. And, thank you for taking my partial blindness (I'm just farsighted, not actually blind) into consideration by using a larger font. So, into my review, which I'm sure you already know is going to be a 10/10. I generally grade these using a rubric similar to what I contend with when writing a discussion for my college classes. Grammar 10/10 Punctuation 10/10 Content 10/10 Clarity 10/10 Accurate Statistics 10/10 Credit/Acknowledgement/Links 10/10 89 Words
  7. 1. What aspect of Hockey (Defense, Stick Handling, etc.) do you think is the most underappreciated? Poke Check. I noticed a lot of successful builds have a high rating in the poke check stat. 2. The NHL has the Lady Byng Memorial Trophy for the player who exhibited outstanding sportsmanship. What should the name of that trophy be in the VHL? Hmm. Hard to say. I'd have to go through a lot of records from past builds, but I'd be looking for the player who accumulated the least amount of penalty minutes during their career. 3. Who do you think deserves to win the award this year? @Triller looks like a good candidate from a quick glance with less than 50 PIM 4. Who do you think is your team's MVP this season? Wayne Gretzky for sure. They've been beasting all season long. 5. What is your favorite holiday? Halloween. I like spooky stuff and it's a fall holiday too. Fall is my favorite season.. 6. If the VHL has an expansion, what city would you like to see get a team? Either Dublin Ireland or Cork Ireland since I have a lot of family in Cork.
  8. Very nice. All of the stats and names attached are accurate and credited correctly. This seems to be a media spot that formed from a lot of brainstorming and fact finding. I can appreciate the depth of this. And the work ethic behind it is nothing short of greatness. Reviewing this with a grade would get an A+ or the equivalent of a 10/10. I'm looking forward to reading more substantial media spots in the near future. 78 Words.
  9. Well-written, and thoughtful, heartfelt stuff. Recognizing other player's achievements is commendable and an act of humility. So, also an admirable write-up. The spelling was on point. Grammer, statistics, quick links etcetera. All present. I'd give this an 11/10. I think a lot can be learned from this in people's approach to future media. Many people write about themselves or something else. Writing about someone else shows appreciation that makes this community a pretty tight-knit one. 77 Words
  10. 1:What is something you couldn't live without? There isn't much, but if I had to choose one thing it would probably be pizza. 2:What is one thing ritual you do before every game? I listen to whatever song has been stuck in my head that day on repeat a few times. 3:What is your favorite pre-game meal? A bowl of Cinnamon Life 4:If you had to play another sport what would you play? Maybe lacrosse or soccer because they're similar to hockey in some ways. 5:What is your go-to shoe when you're relaxing? My Vans UltraRange. They're super light and soft. 6:If you could put a team anywhere in the world where would it be? Dublin Ireland or Somewhere in Ireland.
