  1. Todd Cooke has returned to Los Angeles for the start of training camp Cooke comes into this year looking well rested and rejuvenated after spending the holidays with friends and family in his hometown of Fort McMurray Alberta. Cooke spent the off-season playing shinny with friends at the out door hockey rinks which honestly is pretty much tradition around the holidays in Fort Mac. Those holiday shinny games are where Cooke honed both his creativity and his two way game spending hours on the rinks growing up . “ I’m rested I’m ready to get things going “ Cooke said to a reporter as he was leaving the airport with a determined look on his face as he hopes to make and impact in Season 87. This off-season of fun and relaxation is exactly what Cooke needed coming into a season he hopes will be a break out one for himself ! look for this youngster to bring the creative game he learned on the ponds to the big leagues !
  2. Oslo Storm Press Conference Week Ending 01/22/2023 1. The Draft has come and gone how do you think we faired ? 2. what’s the key this season in our quest for the three peat ? 3. Who are you most looking forward to playing with this season ? 4. who are you most looking forward to play against this season ? 5. What are some goals you have for your player this year ? 6. At the halfway point in the NHL season who wins the cup this year ?
  3. Sophomore Centre Todd Cook has put in the work this off-season to truly build towards a breakout season this upcoming hockey season. Let’s take a quick look at his rookie season and see what the outlook is for both himself and the LA Stars going into season 87. First off the LA Stars have had quite the off-season @InstantRockstarhas worked hard to improve the Stars roster this off-season to put them in a position to compete for a playoffs spot , Rockstar’s biggest addition to the team so far was Vinny Detroit up front ! Defensively the team seems to still be looking to complete their rotation of defence men but the will lean heavily on callum murray and scoish Maliosh as they have in the past seasons. In the net this year Rookie sensation Alexander Minion will look to bring some championship pedigree to LA after backstopping the Oslo Storm to Their second consecutive Renaissance Cup ! Minion will backup Elite Starter Art Vandalay. With a quick glance LA looks very strong up front and in the net coming into this season , once the defence gets completed I have truly high hopes for this team to compete and make the playoffs this season ! Sophmore Centre Todd Cooke is finally putting all the training together . His build is coming together nicely ! I’m hoping that he can break out this year and be a big player for the Stars this year . I’ve put a lot into improving Cooke defensively and offensively. Hopefully it all come together this year and he can contribute to success in LA this season . I’m finally happy with the player I have coming into this season now it’s just about continual improvement to hopefully break out and become a top player in the VHL for the next few seasons ! I think it’s as good a time as any to also include a little bit about Oslo in this media spot . We enter training camp as the back to back defending renaissance cup champs . This season like last we have quite the roster turnover but on the onset we have put together a team that will be competitive once again ! I actually don’t deserve much credit at all , once again @JB123 has showed he can put together competitive teams especially in the VHLE when it seems like every season each team suffers the high roster turnover and almost has to start from scratch! One storyline in Oslo will be who will replace longtime Oslo veteran and great @Webberj Jon Webber Jr as team captain? Webber is heading up to the VHL in season 87 and leaves a huge leadership hole in the team . I’m very confident we will have the leadership in our locker room once again this season it just won’t be as clear cut as the last 2 seasons have been . Tune in this year as the storm look for the 3peat !! I honestly can’t believe I’m in my 4th season as a player and my 3rd season in management everything feels like it has just flown by I’ve enjoyed every single minute of it ! And look to continue my journey in the VHL

  5. So I don’t really have 1 specific media spot idea but I have a lot to talk about . First and foremost the Oslo Storm won the Renaissance Cup ! Going back to back becoming the first VHLE team to win back to back cups ! While the S85 Storm were favoured all year and almost a lock to win the cup from the first game of that season . S86 was not that clear cut ! Oslo struggled out of the gate and at one point we sat 7th for a period of time . We honestly expected set backs but not like that . Just before the deadline when it looked like the wheels were gonna fall off the Storm had a decision to make either sell the team and prepare for future seasons or go all in on this season and try to make a run out of it ! We decided to go for it and made a move to bring in Rhys Trenton and Vinny Lecavalier. That move along with veteran Sebastian Dokis pretty much falling into our lap changed the storm’s trajectory. From then on Olso continued to climb the standings ultimately finishing 4th overall . In the wild card they made quick work of Istanbul in a high scoring series . The next round was the real test they faced the best team all year long the Cologne Express and to Everyone’s surprise defeated them in 6 games . The Cup final would see them go to Rome to face the gladiators. This was a back and forth series from game 1 to 7 . At one point the storm were down 3-1 in the series , but much like the regular season they showed perseverance and their never say die attitude and came back to win in 7 games ! This season was so rewarding for myself personally as I got to see the work @JB123and myself ( mostly JB ) put in to having a competitive team result in the Storm proving they had what it took to repeat ! Todd Cooke is gearing up for the ProAm to see where he stands going into Season 87 . I’m hoping for a big sophomore season as I have earned a lot of TPE this off season and put in a lot of work trying to make Cooke better for this upcoming season . Hopefully that success will help LA turn in a productive season where they turn around their recent misfortunes aswell ! I don’t know about you guys but I personally am looking forward to seeing how S87 will go ! With Oslo trying for a three peat . Cooke hopefully breaking out in the VHL this season , and so much more interesting this happening going into next season . One of the things I’m more interested in then usual is this seasons draft class as it looks stronger then usual with a lot of promise going forward! I believe Season 87 is shaping up to be a good one , and one that I hope to achieve more growth as a player and in management as well Stay tuned folks
  6. With the off season in full swing and the road to Season 87 fully starting now . Todd Cooke is gearing up for his sophomore season hoping he doesn’t suffer from the problematic sophomore slump . Cooke has been putting in the work this off-season with his training trying to improve every facet of his game . The ultimate goal for Cooke this season is to increase his offensive production and improve his two way play in both zones ! Along with this he aims to help the LA Stars return to the promised land and make the playoffs this year . Potentially even playing for a championship ! Cooke is poised to have a real breakout season if he can build on the closing weeks of last season combined with the work put in during the off season. Most notably he will be playing on the Toon Squad in the ProAm off-season tournament . That will serve as a tune up for Season 87 ! And ultimately will serve as a glimpse of things to come
  7. Oslo Storm press conference week ending 01/15/2023 1. WE DID IT ! Repeat champs how do you plan on celebrating and how will you be spending your day with the cup ? 2. what was our biggest strength during our playoff run ? 3. how will you be spending your off season ? 4. What would should our motto for Season 86 be ? 5. @JB123 has done it all in the E winning back to back cups . How long until the VHL comes knocking at his door for a GM position? 6. What’s next for your player ? An Oslo return ? Moving to the VHL ?
  8. Awesome series @leandrofgyou guys had a hell of a run , gave us everything we could handle and more !
  9. Todd Cooke has been recouping and enjoying the Christmas off season. Cooke is trading in the turkey and stuffing for his hockey gear and dumbbells. Stepping back in the gym and on the ice to get ready for S87 . His rookie season in LA left a lot to be desired and Cooke is looking to come into training camp and prove he belongs in the league . Todd has upped his training regimen to be as prepared as possible for Season 87 LA is in a position to potentially take steps forward. And he wants to contribute to that forward movement as much as he can . Cooke has worked on his defensive game almost exclusively doubling down on his want to be one of the best young two way forwards in the league in the coming seasons . Depending on how the off season goes for this young man we might see a true breakout season coming up for Todd Cooke . He has the desire and drive just needs to put it together!
  10. I don’t really have anything specific down to one topic to talk about this week in particular so I’m gonna take some time and ramble about multiple things VHL and league related. Well as the holidays wind down , the off season build adjustments for Todd Cooke. Going into S87 I’m hoping I can come in and build off what was a semi successful learning experience. Both in where Cooke lacked In his build and also what stats seem to matter more . Ideally I’d love for Cooke to up his point goal and assist total from last season . As well as excel on the defensive side of the puck too. I’ve said it from the beginning my goal was to be an impact power forward and I want to accomplish that more then ever . The Christmas TPE will go a long way in helping accomplish those goals ! Looking at the LA Stars future it honestly looks bright we have multiple players progressing and continuing to grow every single week . Along with the young talent we have coming in I’m excited to see what the future holds and if LA can take that ever elusive step forward . Next we’ll take a look back to Oslo in the VHLE , we’re in the Semi Finals after Sweeping the Istanbul red wolves in the wildcard round. That series was an absolute barn burner with Oslo ultimately outscoring the Red Wolves 14-6 over two games . Now Oslo will have to turn our focus to regular season powerhouse the Cologne Express. Currently that series is knotted up at a game a piece both going to Overtime . Although this series is tied Cologne holds a significant shot advantage over the 2 games , but much like all season Oslo refuses to give up and I am extremely proud of where we are right now after it looked like the wheels were gonna fall off and we would suffer a championship hangover this season when we struggled early. No matter how the playoffs shake out for Oslo , They are set up for a successful Season next year in season 87 . With multiple high end prospects coming in or on the cusp of breaking into the VHLE , combine that with the 7 draft picks in S87 and 5 in S88 the Storm seem to be equipped to be competitive for the next few seasons. One thing I know forsure is I can’t hold back the excitement I have right now both as a player and as a manager in the VHLE , My player is up and coming and on the cusp of breaking through . And I’m part of a great management group and learning from an extremely good mentor that has put together a successful organization in Oslo ! @JB123 yes I’m talking about you ! Thank you for everything you’ve done and how much you’ve taught me about everything in this league ! For a guy that didn’t really know anything about sim hockey or sim leagues when I joined the VHL back in S83 I think I’m finally finding my footing as a community member. Combine that with the fact that I legitimately enjoy working as an AGM and building my player up . I don’t think I can ever see myself leaving here .

  13. During the end of the year locker room clean out LA Stars rookie Centre Todd Cooke was seen getting some last minute ice time before the Offseason officially began . Cooke came into this season with high expectations for himself hoping to achieve the goals he set for himself . However that was not exactly the case. We sat down with Cooke while he was cleaning his locker and getting ready to go home to Fort McMurray Alberta for Christmas with his family . Reporter : Hello Todd thank you for sitting down with us for a short little interview to close the season , and get your thoughts on how everything went . Cooke : No problem happy to be here . Reporter : This season was full of ups and downs but as the season went on how do you feel your game progressed and grew ? Cooke : Well for starters I’m honoured to play for an organization like the Stars out management team is committed to putting the best possible group out on the ice and always tries to better the team. The guys are great I really learnt a lot from our veteran players . I came into this year knowing that I’d have to work hard to earn every bit of ice time and opportunity that I’d be given and I feel like I did that ! I feel like my game got better as the season progressed and I got more comfortable. Reporter : The Stars look to be and up and coming team in the next couple of seasons . Are you excited to be a part of this up and coming group ? Cooke : I’m extremely excited to be a part of this group we have . We have a solid group of players making our core . @InstantRockstarhas done a great job assembling this team . We’re strong at every position especially goaltending and defence . Although we might’ve taken a step back this past season I believe wholeheartedly that in the next season or two we will take a couple steps in the right direction towards the ultimate goal of winning a championship. We have the pieces , it’s just a matter of putting it all together. Reporter : You primarily played centre in the VHLE and VHLM , but this season you played on the wing most of the year , was that a big adjustment for you ? Cooke : Not as big as you’d think to be honest I played wing as a kid and a bit in junior , so I was fairly familiar with the positioning and everything . The switch also gave me a chance to see how the older guys played centre at this level aswell as grow my defensive game . I’m just happy I was playing and bettering my game each and every night . Reporter : what’s your plans for the off-season? Cooke : First and foremost I’m going to go spend Christmas with my family back home then I’ll be right back in the gym and on the ice . Trying to get stronger and faster . Anything I can do to come into next season ready to go you best bet I’ll be doing it ! Reporter : this was a tough season as a whole for the Stars , as you pointed out earlier the team has a good young core group , where do you think you go from here ? Cooke : I mean you can only go up from here and get better as a team , we want to bring a championship to LA , we all wanna be there and be competitive. We have the talent it’s just a matter of taking the lessons we learned this year and applying them next season . If we do that and play for eachother I believe we’ll competing for a playoff spot maybe even more next season ! Reporter : well I think that’s all the time we have today thank you for sitting with us Todd , all the best this holiday season and enjoy you offseason we’ll see you at training camp . Cooke: thanks guys appreciate it . There you have it folks a nice season ending interview with one of the leagues up and comers hoping to improve on a mediocre rookie season in the VHL ! 690 words
  14. As Season 86 comes to a close we will take a quick review of LA Stars rookie C Todd Cooke and his first season with the Stars. Cooke started off as one of the top rookies in the VHL and kept pace for about the first 1/3 of the season . The next 2/3 of the season Cooke seemed to hit a wall in his production and his once promising rookie season where he was competing for the rookie points lead quickly slipped through his fingers. Now don’t get me wrong he has had every opportunity make something out of this season and have success. And while he worked hard to try a achieve the goals he set for himself he never really measured up to the expectations he laid out for himself at the start of the season. You could contribute that partially to the lack of team success in LA aswell but Cooke would not put the blame on anyone besides himself . “ I have to be better and work harder everyday to compete in the league and be successful. “ Cooke told reporters in a recent interview. As the season comes to an end Cooke will look to build of of this year and take that next step to become a house hold name next year on S87 . Keep an eye out this kid is hungry .
  15. Game 543 Seattle vs Toronto this game started out all Seattle in the first outshooting The legion 15-7 closing the period out with a 1-0 lead . Toronto would put the pressure on the next two periods but ultimately failed to find the back of the net . Seattle held on for the 1-0 win . Narrowly outshooting 26-21. Dusty Wilson and Oscar Lindbergh stole the show in this game , as it was a goalie battle from the start .
