  21. Updated to S91! @Dee @sportexperts show @npuBeT Welcome to history! Congratulations on finishing your VHLM careers in the Houston Bulls record books! Best of luck in your futures in the VHLE and VHL @Dee If you see this and are around let me know! Hope to see you back again this season. @Big Newff If you're still kicking around you'll see your name a lot in career skater records @omniscius You're in a few more career records as well! Congrats!!
  22. Might make a defender with my next create in 3-4 seasons. People who have made a dman before, what’s it like? I’ve always had scoring forward players.

I really liked that hits/SB became a marker of a good performance rather than just an "oh hey, that's cool but what about my points" thing. You can get zero points in a game but still be really proud of your performance. So I think that by itself (especially with SB) adds another dimension to your player that you wouldn't necessarily care about with a forward. I haven't played defense since S71 and all I'll say is that I'm looking forward to doing it again 👁️

I did an offensive d-man with Casey Jones and just finished my shutdown guy with Ryuji, and started in this league with a shutdown guy in Till Lindemann. I'd say it's a nice variety if you've always made the same player, but I will caution that the current STHS engine we use here does not track GA/TA, so it's a little more limited, stat-watching-wise, if you make a shutdown player.

  23. Randy Bobandy is Getting Kind of Old The cheeseburgler from Nova Scotia, Canada has put 5 seasons under his belt already in the VHL. From skipping a minor season in the VHLM, to being drafted 4th overall in the S87 VHL Draft to the Seattle Bears, to being traded to the Calgary Wranglers last season in S91, Bobandy has grown and learned a lot over the past seasons of play. Bobandy currently plays the role of 1st line center for the Calgary Wranglers and here are some stats to look at for Randy Bobandy: Milestones through 5 seasons 100+ Goals Scored 200+ Assists 300+ Goals 20+ 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Game Stars (Career Regular Season) 300+ games played 200 regular season wins 50 playoff games played It's cool to track your player's progress and see statistically how they have improved through the seasons. Even with a bump in the road with one season of play in Calgary, I feel the new management team has put the puzzle pieces together this off-season. S91 was a "are we still rebuilding" type of season for the Wranglers with a roster full of diversity: young forward core, veteran defensemen playing with rookies, and a goaltender who is just reaching prime time era. S92 looks to have more promise in my eyes for Randy Bobandy and the Calgary Wranglers: F- (S87) Randy Bobandy: 1106 TPA F- (S87) Oreo McFleury: 876 TPA F- (S87) Sadie St-Louis: 838 TPA F- (S88) Rip Wheeler: 678 TPA F- (S90) Raimo Tuominen: 678 TPA F- (S90) Catia Goncalves: 585 TPA D- (S87) Skor McFluery: 1155 TPA New Signing D- (S85) Phil Strasmore: 805 TPA D- (S89) Joe Block: 533 TPA D- (S89) Pope Francis: 463 TPA New Signing G- (S88) Merome Dilson: 1010 TPA Pros vs Cons The major pro I see on this roster is the development of Merome Dilson. After 3 seasons Dilson has struggled to find their feet in the win column, but individual numbers have told a different story. Dilson finished S91 on a .500 team placing 5th among starting goaltenders in GAA (2.39), 7th in shutouts (3) but 14th among starters in SV% (0.923%) letting in 150 goals on 1955 shots. I feel S92 is the season Dilson breaks out of their shell and becomes a top 5 goaltender in the VHL. Being ranked currently 3rd in TPA for goaltenders as well, Dilson has the tools and the team in front of them now to find success. A con I see in this season is my worry for the chemistry through the first line's scoring. Scoring goals was a problem for Calgary's first line in S91 (Bobandy 30-29-59, McFleury 26-28-54, St-Louis 26-22-48). After a season together, and after the addition of Skor McFluery (89 points in S91, most among all VHL defensemen), the goals will need to start coming in or else a change in the system may need to occur again. Bobandy's two way playmaking build combined with the three heavily favoured scoring builds from O.McFleury, St-Louis, and S.McFleury should hopefully be the answer Calgary is looking for after the moves made this off-season.
