  1. Randy Bobandy hopped in his Ram F150 he just recently purchased after getting comfy in Calgary. All the Berta boys said you need a 4x4 with a deep trunk, Bobandy didn't know what this language meant except that he needed a shiny new toy. Cruising through the city early in the morning before his first practice with the team, GM Kris Rice @Ricer13 appointed Bobandy as a rookie mentor. Calgary's newest centerman couldn't go one practice before being placed in a leadership role but Bobandy was more than ready to accept whatever was best for the team. He remembered his rookie season and how crazy of a blur it was so Bobandy was excited to meet the kid. Bobandy parked his new monster truck beside a large newly furnished apartment complex. Heading up the elevator he was extremely tempted to pull the Elevator scene in Elf where he pressed all the buttons. "Who is this kid and why is he staying here?" Bobandy was more intrigued and after a couple of bangs on room 1334's door, out walked the fresh stud, Raimo Tuominen. Straight out of Finland, the 6'1" 188lbs center was eye candy for Bobandy and instantly wanted to buff the string bean up and show him the ropes. "Nice to meet you kid, my name's Randy. I'm new around here too so coach decided we should learn the city together. You're back in North America after being home in Europe. Maybe getting you out of this box looking apartment and getting you somewhere more comfortable would be best. Want to rent a room at mine?" Bobandy is key on getting these Wranglers rolling and to be able to be a main role in the development of this organization means a lot to him. So the question is, will Raimo Tuominen @SlapshotWrangler want to room with Randy Bobandy? Bobandy is living just 20 minutes out of the city on his small ranch. Bobandy wants to teach the young Fin what living in Canada is like and share their cultures together.
  2. Still in love with the Bobandy graphic you made me

demko sounds legit, I’m a fan now
  4. If you don’t go top 10 I’ll riot with you
  5. CGY Reporter: Hello Randy, welcome to Calgary! There has been a lot of buzz around the city after your arrival and the fans are dying to meet you. You’ve shown an impressive start to your career with Seattle, but what are your thoughts on this recent trade? Bobandy: Hey thank you! I am a bit in the middle when it comes to this trade. I am happy and proud to be a Wrangler, but my initial plan when being drafted to Seattle in S87 was to live out my career as a Bear. I was projected in my draft to end up in Toronto at 3rd overall, but told GMs I wanted to be in Seattle and went there at 4th overall. I skipped a minor season to get to the VHL and play for Seattle. I feel I have been extremely loyal to the team, signed a huge contract, but at the end of the day it’s a business. Seattle is looking to go down a different direction than normal in order to rebuild and I am willing to do anything for that team even if that means going separate ways. This of course resulted in myself being traded to the Calgary Wranglers and I still have mixed feelings, but I am honestly happy with the trade. I am ready for a new start with Calgary but I will always hold that love for Seattle and it sucks saying goodbye. CGY Reporter: Okay so you’re humble and loyal we get it, but you’re a Wrangler now are you not excited for that? Bobandy: Of course I am excited. Calgary is a roster full of players that I have good connections with and will easily fit in. You never love getting traded when your roots are set somewhere, but this will be beneficial for my career as a player. Calgary seems to have a fire to win and I am all for that. I am thrilled to hop into my role as a leader on this team with my experience, almost feeling like John Tavares when he was traded to the Leafs. I want to show Calgary that I am going to do whatever it takes to win for them, I’m just in that sappy sad mood after leaving my previous team. CGY Reporter: Totally understandable, I’m sure Seattle wasn’t planning on getting rid of you, trades happen and sometimes you have to part ways with people you don’t want to let go of. You’re in a spot now where you can succeed and not have to worry about a rebuild. With that being said, do you have any goals set already for Calgary? Bobandy: You're right and yes I totally do have goals set. The mindset coming from Seattle is I play to win. Nobody likes losing and I sure as hell don’t like it. I want Calgary to be a contender and I want to put up the numbers in order to get us there. I am most likely going to take the role of first line center and I hope to be able to produce the playmaking magic I did two seasons ago where I reached 70+ assists. With a fresh start I can go into every game with a clear mind and just play how I play. I want to win and that is the goal I am setting not only for myself but my teammates too. Maybe I can become someone my teammates can look up to right away, I would enjoy that. CGY Reporter: Calgary does experience a younger roster of forwards so I hope you can be that leader for them! Last question, with your strong feelings towards Seattle, do you have any last words for that franchise? Bobandy: I want to say thank you. Thank you to all the amazing teammates that I’ve been able to play with. Thank you to the GM @Banackock for always having the winning passion and being an amazing friend to me. There's no hard feelings at all, I know your thoughts and you know mine and I'm positive that we'll still stay in touch. Like I said before I was ready and willing to play every minute as a Bear, although I know this is for the best not only for myself and Calgary, but Seattle too. It was an honor being a Bear for four seasons but I am ready to be a Wrangler now. CGY Reporter: Thank you Randy, best of luck with your new team! Bobandy: Thank you, I’m ready to get S91 started. @Ricer13 let's get to work

    Traded

After four seasons with the Seattle Bears, Randy Bobandy has packed his bags and is heading North-East to Calgary, Alberta. Bobandy has enjoyed his time with Seattle, where he honestly expected to finish his contract as a Bear and then maybe consider movement, but the team has been seeing changes and is looking more into a rebuild. Calgary on the other hand is looking for some success and Bobandy is in his prime era looking for that success too. With a wide range of vets and rooks, Bobandy slides in as the highest TPA forward on the current Wranglers roster and hopefully will see first line minutes. Even with the sudden movement, Bobandy is excited for his new team and a new atmosphere. Last night after the trade was completed Bobandy said his goodbyes to Seattle's management and was welcomed into Calgary with open arms. The Wranglers GM has shown interest in Bobandy for a few seasons now, so it was very nice seeing how happy and excited Ricer was to get Bobandy on his squad. Bobandy already feels at home and ready to play, especially with so many familiar faces. Through my GMing days in Houston I have GM'd almost half of the players on this team, I've played with a few with my current and previous player, and there are a few others I have been eager to meet. I am extremely excited to not only work with Ricer under his GMing power, but also DJ and Leandro too! Calgary seems to be packed full of great members and even though it is a bit weird being traded to a new team, being in a new environment, and not playing all 9 seasons I expected for the Bears, the future is bright and I feel some more life in Bobandy starting to sprout while entering his 5th season. The first and only time I was traded was back in S83 to Seattle where I won my first Continental Cup, so I am very optimistic and wiling to give it my all for my new team in Calgary.
  7. 1. I am loving all the moves going on. I'm happy to be on a team with Catia and Sadie! They will both be huge impacts for this team. 2. 4oa is gone but y'all are stuck with me now so I hope that's alright. 3. That is very fair. I'm used to Seattle always pushing for a winning season, it looks like Calgary is hopeful for that now or at least very soon, I'm very excited to see how things turn out. 4. The three Bulls alum! Tuominen, Goncalves and Block should all catch their stride quickly. 5. I'm honestly not a big sweets guy but I do love baked goods. Cookies, cupcakes, anything you throw in the oven I'll love. 6. Never been a fan of things with raisins or cranberries in it. Not sure why but just not my favourites.

  9. Houston Bulls legend
  10. @Grape holy shit you’re a genius
  11. @KRZY Proud to see where you’ve come since Houston in S84. Had a killer season then and now you’re battling for a cup with LA (the first team I was ever drafted to) after leading the regular season in points. Makes me feel like I did good as a GM watching you man, good luck with the rest of this series and next season too
  12. This mf is COOKING! Only off by like two games so far..
  13. Thanks for the five seasons Captain Bog, was fun playing beside you for a good chunk this season too Good luck wherever you go! We’ll be routing for you no matter what

  20. Can any mods actually listen to Spartan? Why does dil have power to harass rutuu and get away with it? When I GM’d the VHLM the mods always told us to let them know about inappropriate player names to get rid of… here’s one! Dil also replied to rutuu’s thread saying “shut your bitch ass up”, two times now. How is that allowed here.

  23. 1. I have before! It’s pretty easy to find questions through the portal and forum, so much content. 2. I want to say pro but at the same time when I watch university hockey, majority of those guys have all played OHL, WHL, D1 etc.. and all play at such an elite level for their ages. 3. Colorado? I see stuff popping up on my feed but don’t follow it too much. Hunter is gonna be a problem in the NFL though. 1. Which restaurant would you choose for a team dinner? 2. What’s your favourite season in the year? I love the fall, everything about it feels comfy and it ain’t cold or hot it’s just perfect for me. 3. What’s one thing you’d like to change about yourself as a person?
  24. New award idea: The Bobandy Award - whoever gets the most points in a season while being highly addicted to a substance. For example, Bobandy guzzles a 6 pack before his breakfast of champions every morning. Others would more than likely indulge in the booger sugar. The choice is your’s, and the addiction stays forever
