  1. All season long Randy Bobandy has struggled to stay par with a point per game. The 4th year center has done his time on the second line for the Bears his entire career. Bobandy knows his role and honestly loves it, excelling his game with the mismatch of majority of the league having weaker second line centers than him. S89 led to a 71 assist break out season for Bobandy, but with the goat Tavish DeGroot leaving the team due to retirement, Bobandy was left helpless for the start of S90. For a good chunk of the season Seattle had to play a bot winger. Bana worked hard to make this roster but we couldn’t figure out a 4th winger for the team in time for game 1. Bobandy upgraded his scoring this off-season and was scoring most of the goals on the second line which wasn’t great for the playmaker he is. Eventually we got the pleasure of adding Dirk Diggler to the squad and even with his low point production, Diggler has been a huge improvement from our shitty bot. Lines were a struggle throughout the beginning of the season and the Bearz struggled to score goals. Thankfully our stud goaltender has saved our backs on countless occasions and has really been our team MVP to this point. Bana and I were shooting messages back and forth until this point in the season wondering wtf should Seattle do? We needed goals and TDL is approaching quickly. I threw the pitch of a Bobandy - Bogatyrev - Goncalves line earlier today and didn’t think it would itch Bana at all, but it was something to think about. The best GM in VHL history hit a home run and set some new forward lines for our sim tonight. I just got back from practice and with stars in my eyes I see a 2-0 Seattle Bears sim. It’s always a good thing to see but what really shocked me was my new line mate, Yaroslav Bogatyrev, our captain. Seattle scored 11 goals in our two games tonight and the captain himself contributed to 9 of them. 6 goals and 3 assists, our leader shot the lights out tonight. I want to take some kind of credit because Bobandy finally got a second line winger who could do something! (@Banackock giving me a medal for his idea of lines that I’m taking full credit for just because I suggested something random) No discredit to Foley and Diggler, but Bog is easily on track to be the best player on the team if he isn’t already. Bobandy got himself 1 goal and 5 assists tonight, as well as memories of last season when he had DeGroot to pass to. It’s only been two games but the chemistry between Bog and Bobandy is already there. Goncalves is holding down our first line and still getting his own success with 4 assists tonight. As the second highest TPA center in the VHL, I am positive that Goncalves will continue his strong two way play and lock down other team’s first lines. I am extremely excited for the remainder of the season now and I hope Bobandy can continue feeding Bog every single night. Seattle hopes to build off of this sudden success through the TDL and maybe we’ll even see some changes with the cap space we could have, who knows. Either way the Bears have finally found the success they were dying for even if it’s only been for two games so far.
  2. @STZ Finally getting this posted after a week, my bad! (and it's theme week now woops) A week ago I had the chance to interview the newest Houston Bulls General Manager, STZ. STZ has been busy since stepping into office and I was curious with what his plans were with the team since I left. I didn't leave the team with the brightest future for this season, but we'll get into that more here. Since joining the Houston Bulls management what has been your game plan for this organization? I think it's very important at the VHLM level that we give support to our new members, and engage them with the league to show them the game and community that has made us all stick around. My game plan for Houston is to help get as many players into the VHL as possible. That's a pretty broad statement, considering it can take a number of different things to keep a player active and interested in the VHL. As a GM the objective is to find out what each member wants out of the league, and to show them how they can get that out of the experience. With a rough start to S90, following a cup hungry run in S89 which didn't go to plan, the team was not left with many assets and some trades have been recently made in Houston. How will these two trades, involving sending two capped players out, benefit Houston for S91? Well, it helps in the fact that we make sure that two great players and two great members get on to a Cup Contending team. ROOKIE and Velvera have both worked very hard to hit 200 TPE by the start of the season, so the big thing is to get them onto a roster that is contending - and hopefully keep them engaged and inspired to make great VHL stars. For Houston, we benefit by loading up on S91 picks. The remaining players will stay in Houston unless they wish otherwise to leave, however we should be very strong come next season. What will the rest of S90 look like for Houston? We continue to press on. Unfortunately it looks like we are on the outside looking in when it comes to new creates. I think seeing this has been the most shocking thing in my first year as GM - I really thought I would have more opportunity to work with new members and creates. It’s been very frustrating watching very minimal new members create. We will welcome any new members we can get, however, I’m just here to support the members that are still on the roster. Do you have any short or long term goals for Houston? The Bulls haven’t raised a cup in over 20 seasons which was and still is the franchise’s only Victory Cup. I would love to get a cup for Houston next season. I seriously don’t put too much weight into it, I really am all about developing players into high VHL draft picks. Having a competitive team is a product of having active and developed players, so I would love to have a Cup run in the near future. Moving forward Houston will always look to have a history of drafting and developing members, and we look to build a reputation of having a program that VHL GM’s can trust when it comes to Draft Day. You’re a well known member throughout the VHL, joining the league almost 10 years ago now in 2013. What does this league experience that you have gained, as well as previous GM experience gained throughout these years bring to Houston’s management team? What does it bring for the players? I've had a few runs as GM in the VHLM and a two runs in the VHL. I think the big takeaway is that the best memories comes from outside of sim results. Of course we all follow the sim, but when you rely on winning, and winning only to get enjoyment from the league, you will realize very quickly that you're not going to have fun here. I also have created a lot of players, the majority of which are HOF caliber. So I can help with build ideas, and I like to think I know how to manage a player's career. Lastly, what is something about yourself that most people don’t know? This is a hard one. I’ve been around a long time, and I think I’m a pretty approachable and open person - kind of what you see is what you get. I do have my eye on my next create for S100 and the name will be an ode to my first VHL player and my son who turns one year old next week. It was nice getting to know STZ a bit better through these questions, and it seems like the Bull's organization is in good hands! After the conclusion of S90 I am sure that STZ and the Houston Bulls will be able to bounce back into the discussion of good teams in the VHLM. Thanks again for the great answers and good luck with the remainder of this season!
  3. I think in honor of rutuu this needs to be the new discord logo. Pretty top tier content I know, don't hype me up too much. @Triller Don't even have to bother making anything nicer I got you
  4. So is someone gonna make a new discord logo or are we just gonna keep replying to this thread? If I was good at graphics I’d do it but I’ll let someone with actual talent in that category take over

    Wallob saving Seattle’s season
  6. This is awesome Thanks subject!
  7. A majority of our community supports pride and if someone doesn’t want to be in that kind of community then they don’t have to join. I’d rather recruit people who accept all. I love our community and changing a discord logo is the least of my worries.
  8. I think I gotta go no visor for every future graphic now
  9. I feel in an organization like Chicago he’s going to be a Patrick Kane, but sniper. Chicago’s gonna suck for the next three seasons, they’ll get another solid draft pick who will probably play right beside Bedard. After those three seasons I think Bedard will break out and become a top 5 player in the league. Pretty strong opinion but it doesn’t make sense that Chicago isn’t trying to rebuild fast to recreate the Toews-Kane era. It worked once, we just got a generational talent so let’s do it again. Bedard’s gonna be a god in three seasons
  10. My first time seeing the settings! Didn’t even know there were notifications you can set for sims I love it. Also got the back button now it’s a lot easier
  11. This is nothing major and just wondering if it’s easy to add. On the app you can’t go backwards once you click a link. Was wondering if a back button could be added? Just tough when I click a game on the forum, it takes me to the portal, and then I have to navigate through the menu buttons to get back to the same thread. Just suggesting, let me know!

@KRZY Not nice beating us, but how much is a hat trick in VHFL?
  14. @zepheter needs to take a look at this lol https://vhlportal.com/players/playerfocus/6006
  15. Oslo can’t have that many highs without a couple lows I guess
  16. If you want to upgrade your knowledge on the ice then I would suggest reading the manual of our sim engine. https://sths.simont.info/ManualV3_En.php It covers everything. Definitely read section 7, it’ll explain all of your player attributes and what they actually mean and do. If you’re also still wondering about TPE earning and all the extra ways to get it, feel free to DM me I’d be more than happy to walk through it all with you.
  17. Houston not last place we still vibin
  18. Bobandy will do anything in his power for KRZY to win in VHFL I promise
  19. @Velevra I'll get better with texts one day
  20. After a very underwhelming start to the Seattle Bears' season, doubts quickly rose through media and league content creators on whether Seattle was going to be able to live up to the hype. A busy off-season lead to multiple trades and signings to build the Bears' S90 roster and most people believed for this team to be a cup runner from the start. Then back to back loses on opening night and 3/4 losses to follow the next four games quickly crushed those beliefs. Seattle has since then bounced back and created a small winning streak! Currently four games strong, Seattle is on a good run right now and the team has become more alive. Game 54: Seattle Bears @ Vancouver Wolves - 3-2 OTW Game 60: Seattle Bears @ D.C. Dragons - 4-3 OTW Game 71: Seattle Bears @ Toronto Legion - 3-0 W Game 78: Vancouver Wolves @ Seattle Bears 3-1 W All division games, all wins. It's a great feeling to break your own curse of a losing streak. In these four games Seattle was out shot twice, tied once for shots, and just destroyed Toronto in game 71. We aren't killing teams by any means but goaltender Clueless Wallob @DMaximus has stepped up their game immensely for the team. Tied as the highest overall goaltender in the VHL, Wallob put up insane numbers throughout these past four games. 30/32 (0.938), 40/43 (0.930), 24/24 (1.000), 38/39 (0.974). In Seattle we sign players with reason, I know trades have been crazy lately but they all have a purpose. Trading for Wallob this off-season has cancelled out our goaltender issues of the past few seasons. After departures from Ash Sparks and Dusty Wilson, Xavier Booberry was signed for a single season and doubts for future goaltending in Seattle were massive. Wallob has come in and now shown why they are the starting goaltender for the most winningest franchise. Randy Bobandy and the rest of the Bears are thrilled with recent performance from the stud goaltender and know they can put full trust into Wallob. The skaters on Seattle also stepped up their game, scoring 13 goals in the past four games, compared to the 10 total goals through our first 6 appearances. 6/8 skaters have gotten more points in the last four games than they did in the first 6. It seems like our second line has finally started clicking with the new addition of Dirk Diggler. Having a second winger who isn't a bot has been so huge for us, and you can see the whole team and especially our goaltender has stepped up their play due to this. First 6 games Last 4 games Leandro Goncalves 1G, 2A, 3P 4G, 1A, 5P Yaroslav Bogatyrev 4G, 1A, 5P 1G, 3A, 4P Randy Bobandy 2G, 3A, 5P 3G, 3A, 6P John Webber Jr 0G, 1A, 1P 1G, 4A, 5P Logan Foley 1G, 0A, 1P 2G, 3A, 5P Scoish Velociraptor Malo 1G, 3A, 4P 2G, 4A, 6P AirRig GoodBrandSun 0G, 1A, 1P 0G, 2A, 2P Rex Wolfe Gregor 1G, 3A, 4P 0G, 2A, 2P I never doubt this team ever. We have the most winningest GM of all time who I know is the best trade talker the VHL has, with the most cups to show for his actions.. He always gets shit done and puts Seattle on a winning platter each season. I wouldn't have signed my player to 6 seasons if I didn't have trust in my GM. I'm also thrilled that Boga has stuck along the whole way. Under a point per game so far but our captain is hungry and has been dying for success not only with his own player, but the team in general. I feel this is his season to shine after a solid S89 season, and as games through out the season go on everyone will see the fire in Captain Bog. I'm also very happy Leandro has been able to step up his game with the addition of Diggler. Being a 5 star talent center playing on the second line is never easy, but recent games have shown the power of Goncalves and I hope to see him continue his success too. I also need to shoutout the dinosaur. Scoish Velociraptor Malo has shot like a rocket with 2 goals and 4 assists in the last four showings. Our number 1 defender is seeing a lot of powerplay minutes and also contributing huge for our second line playing even strength minutes. Very excited to watch this season roll out. The Bears are coming and we don't plan on stopping this current success streak.
  21. 44. First game jitters! Been on a good tear lately though and bounced back from our shaky start. 45. Perfectly! Our roster is too strong for someone not to fit in. 47. We are coming out with a new Spiced Rum, comes in a 26 or 40 only since we're heavy drinkers. It's called "Ice Spicey Bears", lol idk. 48. The E should just fold and let the VHLM run to 250 TPE cap again. If they relocate Montreal needs a team. 49.Seattle, Calgary, Toronto, Helsinki, Davos. All the old dogs with good history to back up success in market. 50. I'd have to say Los Angeles. Not much success and the only team of the last 4 expansion to not win a cup yet. It's tough but 20 seasons have gone by for them.

    Nope not allowed sorry guys
  23. First line minutes on a team that’s scoring 2 goals per game. It’s tough at the start of the season but as you progress each week and get closer in TPE to your opponent’s first line I think Banner will see a lot of improvement! Got a great build so far too so it’s only a matter of time

    SEA/CGY; S90

nope we’re keeping them actually sorry
  25. Just saw this, keep that same energy against the Bears in S90 please
